  1. Given that, the only similarites between KC and FD is that each recieved a paint job(s) during their lifespan. KC was removed for metal issues under the PKI logo. When PKI decided to spend the money to paint KC has nothing to do with CF, or who is in charge of CF. Attempting to suggest anything different is simply apples and oranges.
  2. So are you saying that FD is having the same metal fatigue issues that led to the removal of KC? Whatever plans Cedar Fair has for the future of Flight Deck are prone to change. Kinzel and friends might want Flight Deck to stay in operation for many more years. FUN might, too... Or not. We'll have to wait and see what change FUN intends on Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, if any change at all. Ok...? So are you still saying that FD is having the same metal fatigue issues that led to the removal of KC?

  4. Yes Please! Don't joke! Crazy colors are not out of the question. From our friends at PointBuzz: http://pointbuzz.com/Photos/Photo.aspx?id=773
  5. Some pics and positve comments from a TPR member that has actually been on the coaster: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=57466&start=10
  6. There are some basic (i.e. railings, steps etc.) parts from Bat that were used on Vortex.
  7. ^ To add fuel to the outlandish rumor mill.
  8. I never noticed that! Unfortunately, there will never be another ride like Bat. Bank on it!
  9. ^ At one time, some believed that the track was rusting due to the *RED* color, unaware of the track's original colors. Then the belief was the paint chipping proves the ride is being removed. There was also belief the chipping paint was going to cause lead poisoning. etc. etc.etc.
  10. A small prediction of future comments: Before- FD is not being being painted because it is being removed. Now- FD is being painted so it can be sold.
  11. ...but the street lights come on WAY before 3:00am....
  12. You really need to come up with your own stuff....
  13. I have always questioned why some want to remove less than thrilling coasters. Like FD, ID fills a gap between kiddie coasters and high thrill coasters. Not everyone has the taste for MF, Magnum or TTD. ID is also a great "starter" coaster for those that are not to 48" as ID's height restriction is 46". http://www.cedarpoin...eight_guide.cfm And on a side note: Many enthusiasts love to blast CP for only being a "thrill" park. So how would removing ID, which is obviously on the lesser end of coaster thrills, help that cause?
  14. You want to the best stand-up? Get down South and try Georgia Scorcher.
  15. ^ Many "fixes" have already been attempted with a price tag over $10 million. People questioning as to why it is SBNO is the least of KI's worries when it comes to SoB.
  16. But who is criticizing; enthusiasts or the once per year guest (aka general public)? If the issues (and I do agree they are issues) affects enough guests, it would certainly be solved quickly. If it only affects only a handful of guests (those being season pass holders that have already paid their hard earned money) the issue is considered acceptable from the 50,000' view. CF has to prioritize where money is being spent. I quickly learned this when I owned my business. At one point, I had enough money to fix one of two issues. Either spend the money on refurbishing the draft beer system or refurbishing the A/C system. Draft beer only affects a small handful of people whereas the A/C affects everyone. It was an easy decision, yet, the draft beer drinkers were not happy.
  17. If you don't like to hear answers, don't ask the question.
  18. ^ Chances are, the replacement of trees was a stipulation of the land sale to your builder. Stipulations for tree replacement that are common today (along with wetland replacement). They were not common 40+ years ago.
  19. The area for BB is not large enough and does not have enough amenities for the crowd HH brings in.
  20. With any new construction, tree removal is likely. Also with new construction, a tree study is performed as to which trees will be able to survive and which will have to be removed as just changing the grade of soil during construction can kill a nearby tree 4 to 5 years down the line. I can only imagine the uproar that would heard from enthusiasts if a tree that was saved during new construction later died and fell on a park guest or the ride itself.
  21. Some of those school grading systems are truely sad. When I graduated high school, 75% was failing.
  22. 6 correct answers out of 10 is over half right. Unfortunately, 60% is still failing. Actually in a lot of schools today 60% is passing What schools?
