A Rainy May 2nd at King Island
No, I did read your full post. And it was just more of the same propoganda crap that you have spread here before. You enjoy jumping to conclusions (or spreading rumors) without an ounce of proof; a fact (do you know what that is?) that was well proven since other members were at the park and did ride coasters in the rain. So what is your beef? Hey pot, the kettle is calling!

Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Grounded By Disney?
I'm not sure if I would put Debbie Gibson in that group. She did go on to do the Broadway stage production of Grease, and did quite well.

Something Else Old Becomes New Again: The Crypt, Robbie Knievel to Jump at Kings Island & More!
People like to think CF is arrogant because of having the "World's # 1 park 9 years in a row". Sure, I believe that those Golden Ticket rankings are tainted, but CF would be fools not to promote the ranking they receive. From a general public standpoint, it is believable. But from an enthusiast standpoint, those rankings are as valuable as the paper they are written on. I compare it to sports teams. The Yankees are the most popular baseball team there is. They are also the most hated. The same thing goes for the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys. People love to hate the big kid on the block, and will find anything to put them down. Some issues brought up are right on, while others are just reaching for straws (i.e.- how many times have we heard about the amount of garbage cans that can be found in a CF park? Is it really that big of a deal?)

Do you like getting stuck on a ride?
^ You didn't know? Invertigo is a powered coaster, not a roller coaster. (Can't you tell today is a rain day?)

Do you like getting stuck on a ride?
The most CP ever gave out due to TTD's issues were front of the line passes for another ride. And those who did receive them should be considered lucky because CP was quite clear that they never knew how long the downtime would be and you should enjoy another ride. And if the downtime was going to be extended, they cleared out the queue. They never gave out passes for a free night in any hotel, especially during the first weekends TTD was open due to the hotels being sold out.

Do you like getting stuck on a ride?
Just like you have the chance that the rain will stop in 5 minutes? Again, there is no difference between the two. And you are right, nobody (except you) mentioned about getting stuck on a ride for 5 hours. lol

Do you like getting stuck on a ride?
How is there a difference between the two? In either case, the ride is not operating, and you cannot do a thing about it.

Do you like getting stuck on a ride?
Chalk this one as a pointless thread. Why would ANYONE enjoy getting stuck on a ride? You can't move. You can't relieve yourself if need be. You can't get a drink of water. And chances are, there is a 13 year old girl screaming her head off thinking that the longer and louder she screams the faster the ride will get fixed. What is enjoyable in that? It is funny that most people will blast CF for a questionable rain policy, but then enjoy getting stuck on a ride. wow...

A Rainy May 2nd at King Island
From KI's website: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/visit/visit_calendar.cfm And do you really think that a person is going to drive 2+ hours and just go to the park at 4:00pm to 10:00pm when the forcast is for rain? You call it greed on CF's part, I call it ignorance on a person's part for not planning ahead.

Well, there is an easy solution. Don't go to KI anymore, and go enjoy a Paramount Park. Have fun!

New Aerials from opening weekend
Being a frequent guest of Hotel Breakers, SandCastle Suites, and Cedar Point Marina I have experienced listening to coasters in the VERY early morning hours. It is a very intresting experience at 3:00 am.

Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Grounded By Disney?
Yes, Vanity Fair has done spreads like this before, nothing new to them. BUT, Demi was not 15. If Miley was 18, more power to her to do anything she wants.

Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Grounded By Disney?
I suppose if it is porn or not is up to what people's opinons are of what porn is. But she IS 15. I certainly would not not want my 15 year old doing a spread like that. It seems inappropriate as far as I am concerned.

Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Grounded By Disney?
Her parents approved it? As a parent, if someone even suggested to take a picture like that of my 15 year old daughter, they would be picking themselves off of the floor. Talk about a promotion of child-porn. Disney made the right call. I'm sure they will not cut ties with the Cyrus family, but things really do need to calm down a bit.

TGI Fridays
Those are very easy solutions to deal with. If those are the worst things CF has to deal with opening a new reataurant, they are on easy street. They even have a huge sign right on the highway promoting the restaurant during the off-season.
-
TGI Fridays
I don't see why KI could not bring in any restaurant and have it be open year-round. It would be no different than any other restaurant located on the side of a road. This one would just happen to be located outside the main gate to KI.

Amusement parks, VIP-style
Just 3 years ago Lebron James (who I would not consider mediocre) did a VIP experience of Cedar Point with his entourage. It was amazing the amount of people it drew in. I'm not really sure what advantage a park would have buy paying for a celebrity to come to the park. The celebrites don't want their presence known because they just want to have a fun day at the park. Advertisments can be filmed before the park opens, although I cannot think of many celebrity advertisments that were actually filmed at a park.

Amusement parks, VIP-style
The Segway tour at Epcot is $95 for two hours. Park admission is not included. A Disney VIP treatment is $125 to $150 per hour with a six hour minimum. Park admission is not included. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/parks...oursListingPage VIP tour of Cedar Point is $400/ person for 8 hours with a one hour break (included in the 8 hours). Park admission IS included. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/visit/vip.cfm VIP tour of SFMM is $299/ person- 4 person minimum. http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/tickets/VIPTours.aspx Basically you need to be what Vegas terms as "whales" to afford these types of experiences. I'm sure most parks offer some type of VIP experience for famous people. They would almost have to so that the guest does not get mobbed all day.

TGI Fridays
WOW! I am honestly shocked that you have had a bad coarse of luck with TGI Fridays. I have had my bad moments at Fridays, usually when they are crazy busy, but overall my experiences have been very positive.
-
TGI Fridays
If that is the case, then GWL must not be selling out, or have a high enough capacity to warrent all the options being available. Unless their food (or prices) are that bad. A TGI Fridays could very well be a welcome sight to the area.

New Aerials from opening weekend
Great pics! I can only imagine how much it costs to fly these days. Thanks for the effort! I'm not sure if there have been more trees cleared out or not, it could be that it looks to be cleared out because the foilage has not grown completely in yet. But if there have been trees taken out I'm sure it is for good reason. I can't imagine anyone putting in the work to take out trees in the middle of nowhere without a reason.

TGI Fridays
^ I doubt that IR would be turned into a Fridays. I really don't think that the space is big enough to fit Friday's standards. Also, the park has been utilizing that space for private events If KI was to get a Fridays, it would probably be a new building without access to the park, but close enough to the main gate so that those at KI could still enjoy the luxury of a sit-down restaurant that could be open year-round. Now with GWL being there, the area is becoming more of a year-round destination and more restaurant choices will be needed. I would be surprised if a TGI Fridays has not already been discussed as a project for the future.
