  1. I'm still astonished this topic beat the epic SoB topic.
  2. Just got back from golfing. Not sure what was worse: my swing or the trolls seen here. I see our resident A-Rod is stirring the pot still attempting to poison KIC from celebrating a new addition to KI. Having an open mind works for most of us. For others, they continue to throw temper tantrums because we enjoy KI (and in turn KIC) for the enjoyment the park brings. I thoroughly enjoy both Intamin and B & M coasters. Each bring new ideas & thrills. Excluding one because you don't enjoy it, great, go to a park (and in turn another site) that is all about Intamin. I will be the first to promote both, or criticize both. But for heaven's sake, if you don't like KI's new addition, say it once. We get it.
  3. KI marketing has directed those following on Twitter/ FB to KIC on a handful of occasions. So the updates are for everyone, just with KIC in mind to stir the pot.
  4. Not good: http://www.goerie.com/article/20130806/NEWS02/308069968/Park%27s-ride-data-not-filed-at-state-agency
  5. Banshee vs. Bat; The Ride
  6. Honestly, this is great FUN! I would LOVE to keep this uncertainty going past Thursday.
  7. Actually it's not. About as much work it takes to whip up fake prints.Or were they real.......?
  8. Hehehe! So for all those who believe those prints HAVE to be 100% legit: Still don't believe KI's marketing department is unwilling to put great effort to keep us guessing? Well done Don & crew, well done!
  9. ^^ So what will happen to KI if come Thursday we all find out the prints the media outlets are not 100% correct?
  10. Diversion has been the word during this whole project. Why would it stop now? IMO- How the announcement date was announced right along with the blue prints being found was too "neat". The prints have been very easy to come by & if they are the real thing, I would be surprised KI did not kindly ask the KIC admins to remove it. Back when Maverick was about to be announced, the plans were released to Screamscape which then ended up on PointBuzz. *If I am not mistaken* CP requested the plan information be removed from PB until the formal announcement. EDIT- the footer locations could be correct but the direction the track goes could be completely different than what we saw. When it comes to Banshee- "Banshee" was scrapped for "Mantis" due to the "meaning" it portrayed. "Banshee" does not fit Mr. Oimet's family direction. Again, finding the trademark info has been very easy. When Diamondback was being planned & "decoded", as far as I can remember, no one found DB's name trademarked until the official announcement. Both the prints & name could be very real, but it would not surprise the least bit me to find out neither are real.
  11. SoB. Anytime.
  12. My guess is marketing. Thursdays are typically not as busy as Fridays. When I first read this (or more specific, scanned) I saw "mounting" instead of "mourning". It was a "OMG" then a "LOL" moment at work.
  13. You don't happen to have a 3rd cousin twice removed that goes by the name of YoungStud?
  14. You were being serious???
  15. Nah, he's just nitpicking.
  16. So this coaster will only operate during HH?Scary thought!
  17. Ohio trespassing laws: http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2911.21 Yes. What you want to believe is an article, is simply a press release. As seen here: http://www.mediacollege.com/journalism/press-release/format.html I believed you would have easily understood why I "nitpicked" without going into great detail, my apologies for that. If CP has used press releases in the past that referenced new attractions that break a park "World Record", there is no reason to believe it would change with a new KI attraction that is drawing much attention. I'm not bashing. I'm humbly advising.
  18. http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/coasters/new02/cp_wickedtwister/cp_wicked_pr.shtml Ugh....semantics. I'm sorry...really...but I don't see the connection. All I see in the article is a reference to how CP would be the only park in the world with 3 coasters over 200'. I suppose, yes, that was a world record for a park, but maybe I'm missing something in what you guys are saying. I mean, at that time, WT was announced to be the world's tallest and fastest twisting impulse coaster....ie. a world record-breaking attraction. That is not an article, but the press release from CP themselves.
  19. ^Hey........ I wonder if our resident Alex Rodriguez would be willing to wear a fanny pack every visit to KI forever in exchange for an Intamin giga addition?
  20. ^ Don't trust crowds anywhere.
  21. ****RAISES HAND***** I KNOW!!!! I KNOW!!!!! AROUND YOUR FANNY!!!!
  22. ^^^That same dense population is a double edged sword. There are so many other things to do in the LA area, people have too many options to spend time & money. It is this exact reason the NFL has not put a franchise back in the area.
  23. CP used a similar "World Record" when WT was built: The only park with 3 coasters over 200'. http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/coasters/new02/cp_wickedtwister/cp_wicked_pr.shtml
