  1. CV could very well be moving off-Point to the Rt. 6 corridor East of CP. CV's size has changed considerably over the past 25-30 years. Pre SC & Magnum, CV was quite possibly triple+ it's current size. When it comes to Maverick, I believe it was planned all along to take place of WWL which had eclipsed it's lifespan by a handful of years. That does not mean another coaster has not been in the works for the CV area, but I can't imagine that amount of "ideas" CP receives each year. And the pic? It looks to me it is the window of a camper/ motor home with blinds drawn.
  2. Don't knock it till ya try it. Dick's is a fun place to go.
  3. We need to have a disclaimer like this on the KIC home page about WF &: Vortex sinking Flight Deck removal Demise of SoB I'm sure I'm missing a few.
  4. What WinterFest at KI brought to the table is the same as many other venues. What Halloween Haunt at KI brings to the table is nothing like any other venue.
  5. With any business, it comes to the bottom line. When WF was busy 20+ years ago there were few competitors. Now there are literally dozens upon dozens of events going on that are not depending on decent winter weather. Even in Erie, the winter event at the local zoo was cancelled years ago for the very same reasons WF was cancelled.
  6. Halloweekend Saturdays have always been notoriously busy. This past CP HW Saturday is not a shock. Unfortunate for those unaware, but still not a shock. CP can only do so much for a seasonal park. While it is easy to blame the park for parking & traffic; is spending millions upon millions for more traffic lanes & parking justified for only handful of Saturdays in Sept/ Oct where weather plays a HUGE factor? Go on HW Friday nights or Sundays instead of a Saturday.
  7. How old a person is, does not define "maturity". I know of many young teens that are more mature than people my own age (myself not included jokesters! ). Just this past Saturday night. we went to a local haunted house. 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed it. My youngest (age 11) did not. While I felt bad, I simply "hugged" her through the rest of the HH & reminding her it was a "play". Am I a bad parent? No. She said she could handle it before going. I now know better for this year- she is still to young. Do I blame the actors? Absolutely not. They are doing their job. It's what we signed up for. Park goers should also be aware that HH at night is a different park than a Saturday night in July. Expecting the same atmosphere is just naive.
  8. Tackle football? Yes! I am IN! Given we know our resident A-Rod likes to intentionally break the rules; we just need to have a test for performance enhancing drugs. I wonder if one could get "U mad Bro?" tattooed on a Whizzinator?
  9. BGW is one of our favorites. KI used to have a similar atmosphere.
  10. I thought is was pretty funny using a quote from a performer that has a long & distinguished history of substance abuse. Birds of a feather.......
  11. I cheer too after riding an Intamin. I made it back safe & alive.
  12. One positive angle when an Intamin goes down: nobody is getting hurt or killed.
  13. You said it.Some have records for speed. Some have records for length. Intamin happens to have records both: lack of speed repairing their product & length of downtime their product has. Now, I wonder where that oh so fitting clapping video is at, Intamin deserves that praise!
  14. Same poll seen here from 2011: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/23549-should-surf-dog-be-considered-a-coaster/?hl=surf Remember: search feature is your friend.
  15. What??? Somehow you are the only one that is allowed to have an opinion? Funny how you now want to change the rules to suit yourself. Aside from the most obvious: One accident could be a park's fault, but dozens by one ride company is an epidemic. Too bad you can't handle the truth. Sleep well! You are absolutely correct. And until he can acknowledge the good, the bad, and the ugly about Intamin, it is impossible to believe otherwise.
  16. I'm sure Kaitlyn Lasitter's parents (like any other "real" parents) are more concerned about their child's health over their own fun.
  17. Hey! I can copy & paste from Wiki too! At least with Banshee, a reliable & safe B&M, we know the odds are it will be open for guests to enjoy come opening day! Don't be mad bro, perhaps one day you will understand the safety of your "daughter" on any ride will overshadow what you believe to "push the envelope over a ride that is incredible".
  18. I don't speak Spanish. No hablo espanol?
  19. Some make innocent mistakes, others are guilty of creating unnecessary drama. We know the OP make a mistake, as for our resident A-Rod....... well, yeah.
  20. Both SW & BG use the same system. Neither are directly connected to your card/ bank. Please note the quoted link above for Discovery Dollars as well as 'Terpy's comment.
