  1. There is no deal. It's more expensive now. You should have purchased it when it was cheaper. Have a great day!
  2. Actually, people need to stop being so emotionally attached to their opinion. If you are too sensitive, and can't handle someone disagreeing with you, an internet forum probably is not the place for you.
  3. I notice your avatar is of SoB.Interesting.
  4. Getting stuck on a ride is fun..... for the first 5 minutes. After that, someone is bound to say "I'm glad I went to the bathroom before this" which immediately makes you start to think "I should have went" then you have to go too. Then there is the "girl who won't stop screaming" because, ya know, the longer & louder you scream always makes things go faster.... There will also be the "I'm gonna sue" or "I'm getting my money back" guy. (although I did get a free day pass @ CP for being stuck on DD for 45 minutes) My favorite: "This doesn't happen at Cedar Point". Forgot one: "I should have got a locker".
  5. ^ New Zippos do not have fluid & do not come with fluid. Zippos were quite popular at the CP "arm pushes item rotating on table into hole" game in front of Gemini.
  6. You would surprised how close KI came to losing FoF. It was scheduled to be relocated under Paramount. The FoF at KD was actually shut down prior to CF's takeover.

Didn't you just break the streak by mentioning the "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" "The-Ride-That-Must-Not-Be-Named". - Just sayin'
  8. That's where I heard it. Thanks!
  9. It can be debated if this is a story or not, but this comment is terrible journalism.
  10. Great article on lawsuit myths: http://www.jerebeasleyreport.com/2008/01/the-lawsuit-myth-put-out-by-the-tort-reformers-must-be-exposed/
  11. I cannot play football, should I sue the NFL for discrimination? Absolutely not, it would be foolish. Unfortunately, there are certain things some people cannot do. That does not mean they are discriminated against. Even if it was allowed at one time does not mean it is or was the right decision.
  12. That is not bad, for a weekday at CP.Typically, CP is packed end of June through mid-August. Yet with any park, it is difficult to near impossible to predict crowds. No matter how long the lines are, enjoy the views & scenery and enjoy your first trip to the Point!
  13. Great point. Call of Duty has a "Mature" rating. Our video game rating system started in 1994. Before then, there was no rating system. This only reinforces how sensitive our society has become (btw- given how violent games have become, I do see the need for a rating system).Today's World is MUCH more sensitive than ever: little Johnny has to get a 6th place trophy for his volcano science project or Billy Crystal being criticized for being racist for his parody of Sammy Davis Jr. at the 2012 Academy Awards- the same skit he used to do on SNL in the mid to late 80's. Even Davis' daughter was quoted it was not offensive and her father would have laughed, but that did not stop some in the media from writing how offensive they believed it was. Exactly. That was 1986. The decision to not use Banshee at CP was in 1995-96.Some things get better with age and some things are just not acceptable anymore. Today's news: http://www.cleveland..._two_rides.html I would post an article from the Sandusky Register, but they don't seem to have any more information than what other media oultlets have.
  14. I can't imagine Banshee being used. The name was scrapped many years ago for what some may consider a stereotype issue as well as a word that has death undertones. The decision to use Mantis as opposed to Banshee will certainly come up, how can it possibly be explained that it is acceptable to use now?
  15. I wonder what they will consider "expert", as who can be more of an expert than the actual designers of the train/ restraint?
  16. Don't skip a thing. Start your day at MF (Marina entrance) then to Maverick, and work your way clockwise around the park. If you skip around, you will spend more time walking then waiting/ riding.
  17. I was on WT when a fake leg came off the forward launch side. The ride was e-stopped & homed out, and it created quite the scene (with some blood curdling screams) when someone yelled out "SOMEONE LOST A LEG!" and then we all saw it laying there. My wife freaked, I then sarcastically asked her: "I wonder what it hit?" She then hit me (this happens often).
  18. I've said it before; those in the know at any park have to LOL at what enthusiasts come up with...Although I can say, with confidence, park enthusiasts are a few notches above Trekkies.
