^ I believe comparing FL cost to healthcare cost is the definition of apples & oranges. The FL issue is one everyone faces everyday. Who can afford what. It's not geared to the rich, and those who use it are not necessarily rich. Some will justify it, others will turn a blind eye to it, and some will despise it. When it comes to money, there will be hurt feelings (often unintentional), as well as jealousy. My wife & I work full time, have 2 kids peeking into the teenage years, and work OT to live the lifestyle we want. We do not get FL as we have had season passes to both CP & KI for 13 years now- and we live 6 hours from KI. Even though it is a great distance, it is still not worth it for us as we have been on every ride countless times. Instead of resenting those using FL, I'm happy for them. They are using their money for what they believe is worth it. I am also happy that I have the time to spare to wait longer in line. I have also not noticed a drastic increase in wait time since FL has been implemented. Now when SFWoA was around, my family purchased the FP because: we were there for 1 day, it only cost $10, and we did not make a visit since SF took over. It made sense to do it. Like Gordon mentioned: it's new to KI. It tastes bad now, in time most will accept it & shrug their shoulders because- a bad day at the park is still better than a good day at work.

Perhaps it is just me, but this seems to be a classic case of: "since I'm getting blamed for it, I might as well do it," in this discussion. While it is too bad some only see the negatives in FL, KI should not be blamed for how business is conducted in today's World.

Since I am not the only one that creeps on KI's FB page to get a laugh (or stir the pot ), I believe a topic should be made for the best of the worst off the wall comments. So far today: "I'm not going to KI because Days of Thunder is not longer in the theater" And why can't these people spell Delirium correct? Is it that hard?

It's not greedy. It's your choice to buy it. If it's too expensive you don't have to buy it. Being greedy would be making you pay $12 for a locker! So true. But who will be the voice on this board that says "You don't NEED to buy a locker." Me.I don't need a locker. I keep my items in the car. Back in the 80's, we didn't have all the crap "needed" today. KI's locker price is comparable to purchasing a beer at a sporting event. It's not expensive at the stadium due to pure greed, it's expensive because they don't want you drink excessively. KI's intention is similar. You are encouraged to not bring items (i.e. cell phone, iPod, duffel bag, carry-on suitcase etc.) as these items only cause issues for you & the park. Getting stuck on a ride is fun..... for the first 5 minutes. After that, someone is bound to say "I'm glad I went to the bathroom before this" which immediately makes you start to think "I should have went" then you have to go too. Then there is the "girl who won't stop screaming" because, ya know, the longer & louder you scream always makes things go faster.... There will also be the "I'm gonna sue" or "I'm getting my money back" guy. (although I did get a free day pass @ CP for being stuck on DD for 45 minutes) My favorite: "This doesn't happen at Cedar Point". Forgot one: "I should have got a locker".

^ New Zippos do not have fluid & do not come with fluid. Zippos were quite popular at the CP "arm pushes item rotating on table into hole" game in front of Gemini.

You would surprised how close KI came to losing FoF. It was scheduled to be relocated under Paramount. The FoF at KD was actually shut down prior to CF's takeover.
