  1. 6. They're trying to mess with enthusiasts who like to start rumors.
  2. I think I see Action Theater, behind about halfway up WindSeeker's tower. There's something that looks like it has an Action Theater shaped roof. WindSeeker's circle of swings is at the top of the tower, so that's not what that is.
  3. Unless something really changes this season, the website isn't nearly as helpful as you may think. Check out the Meet our CEO page, it seems a bit confused about just what park he's meeting...
  4. You get the guidebook when you process or during your training. Unless, of course, rides is like food, where you never get the department one.
  5. And this is why I think anyone who complains about something unreasonable and asks for free stuff should be banned from the property. There's some customers not worth having- if all they are going to do is complain, their money might not be worth the stress it causes for Guest Relations and the employees. There's a lot of companies where I don't think realize that managers overruling the employees makes the employee unhappy. If I say no to something which policy says we can't do, and one of the managers comes up behind me and says I should do it, it makes me look like an idiot in front of the guest. I don't think anyone appreciates that. For example, a guest once asked me to give him water in a Coke cup, which we aren't allowed to do unless they buy it as a soft drink. Don't ask me why, but I'm paid to follow the rules that the park makes. Then, one of the managers comes up behind me and apologizes to the guest for my "attitude" (EXCUSE ME?), and gave him a 32oz cup of water, then says "Sorry" to me and walks away. Sometimes, the customer does, in fact, need to be told that they're wrong... politely, of course, but still...
  6. There's some cases where I think guests need to learn that they need to be polite, too. I refuse to be polite to someone who just accused me of stealing money from a small child, or someone who calls me an "stupid idiot" because she didn't realize a free drink wristband got her free drinks. We aren't punching bags. I wouldn't be obviously rude, but I'm certainly not going to say "Thank you, have a nice day!" after someone insults me.
  7. I've seen Paramount handle things badly too. I never went to KI under Paramount, but I did once see multiple ride associates ignoring a crying child who had fallen and scraped his knee. (and no, they weren't ride ops, they were greeters) The only time I've seen anything bad at KI under CF is during the first few weekends. It's impossible to expect perfection out of someone who probably has never held a job before and has almost no experience dealing with customers. They can't train you on how to deal with a lady screaming at you because she thinks the free cups of water are too small. You need experience for things like that. BTW, I doubt many of the employees are trying to give wrong information. I have said things which I honestly thought were correct, but turned out not to be.
  8. Seriously, this topic has NOTHING to do with Diamondback or Beast. I'd like to see some upgrades on Crypt, but I'd like to see a new ride even more.
  9. They have *gasp* LIDS AND STRAWS? I actually like the 2010 pizza better myself... although, honestly, I'm not a big fan of pizza. True story: for quite a while, I thought the LaRosa's pizza I ate somewhere almost daily was a cheap cafeteria pizza. Shows what I know.
  10. I think it would be easy to upgrade the park's lighting by just adding some LED floodlights onto the top of the buildings. Looks decent and it would create a lot of light.
  11. My punishment? Make 'em work at KI until they pay KI back. Should only take 7 years or so...
  12. Or not break the posted rules. But, oh well, whatever...
  13. Perhaps because it's a picture of a sign. There's a difference between a sign and a graphic used to draw visitors into your website...
  14. This sums it up nicely.
  15. Agreed. As far as I can guess, the rest of the park isn't finished with their opening procedures by 9:30/9:00 and they don't want to just open the whole park and disrupt that. Also, I think a lot of people who have day tickets would be upset if they went over to a non-ERT ride and there was already a huge line because of ERT (Like TTD at CP).
  16. I think he's saying that someone did... I got the impression that he works in the call center perhaps?
  17. "All hours and operating schedules are subject to change without notice."
  18. That's kind of sad. I guess they really like catering to the type that overplans their day... 12:05 Meet Mickey 12:10 Buy shirt for Johnny 12:37 Ride Space Mountain 12:41 Clean vomit off of Johnny's new shirt 12:46 Go to restroom etc... I always thought character greetings were more of a spontaneous thing- "Hey, let's go see Mickey!", not "Hey, it's 1:07, better hurry up across the park to see Mickey at his scheduled time!" Oh well, what do I know.
  19. You messed up your line breaking. I read "select days" as meaning holidays and occasional weekends.
  20. I'm glad he's boycotting the rides, as it'll mean a shorter wait for all the reasonable people.
  21. Sportacopters used to go a different route?
  22. The first thing I noticed in that video is that all the edge lights on the International Street buildings were working... although KI seems to be doing better on those than Disney- I was amazed how many of the lights like that were out at the Grand Floridian. They must be really tough to take care of. Hopefully someday they'll have LED lights there!
  23. CW seems to have customized theirs more (the banner at the top, for example). Maybe CW management simply doesn't want a new one yet?
  24. But the main purpose of a gold pass is unlimited visits to the park and free parking. The main purpose is not ERT. It's like asking for a refund on a hotel room because, while the hotel has a pool, spa, tennis courts, a running path, and a bowling alley, you don't like the color of the wallpaper in the hallway.
  25. I have no problem with someone getting a refund on a pass, as long as their name is blocked from purchasing another season pass that season. Besides, I'm sure the free parking isn't a benefit of the gold pass, right? If you were going to downgrade to a regular pass for some reason, wouldn't it end up costing *more* since you'd have to pay for parking? Gold Pass: $100 Regular Pass: $95 + Parking for ONE VISIT: $10 = $105 Sooo... the gold pass is cheaper. I guess I just don't get the problem here. It's STILL A BETTER DEAL. http://tickets.visit...season_pass.cfm I have to say, I'm glad to see The Beast off of ERT. It never seemed to be open when I could go for ERT.
