  1. Well, if guests were standing up, which I have no doubt they were (and on other rides, too: on Universe of Energy, they had constant reminders about the length of the ride, and how you could NOT leave after the ride started...), then they are probably necessary. I'm actually surprised they weren't addeda while ago.
  2. CedarPointer, hoping someone gets it... But seriously, I don't really see the problem here. It seems that everyone thinks that Disney is constantly going downhill. Which, in some cases, it is (I almost cried going on Spaceship Earth and seeing all the show scenes on the descent replaced by Christmas lights and an Esurance commercial), but not every decision they make is bad... If you owned a business, wouldn't you want to take additional opportunities for profit?
  3. I know that. I'm saying that, for what Disney charges for tickets, they should be keeping all the rides open until the park is actually closed, or just be honest and say Future World pretty much closes at 7. (also, I can think of a few CM's I've seen who were more rude than anyone I've dealt with at a CF park, ever, but I really don't feel like writing a whiny post to which I'm sure all the replies will be BUT THEY HAZ TEH THEMING!!!1)
  4. This wasn't at 9:30 PM like the times guide says it closes, it was at about 7:30. (sorry, I actually hadn't looked at the schedule, but it turns out it was even earlier before closing than I thought...)
  5. There are many things that Disney does better than KI. In fact, I'd bet that Disney makes far more money than KI. But, somehow, KI manages to keep almost all the rides open until park closing. This cannot be said about Disney, where we left over an hour before Epcot's park closing, and in Future World, our only choices of attractions was Spaceship Earth, The Living Seas, and Soarin'. Amazing. (There might have been one other thing, but I can't recall it...)
  6. It's not as if the step isn't there. It's there, and it's 100% HER fault for missing it.
  7. Hits: The Beast, Diamondback, The Racer, Back Lot Stunt Coaster, Vortex, Nickelodeon Universe, Tomb Raider The Ride, Boo Blasters Misses: Son of Beast, The Crypt, Planet Snoopy, The Bat (from a technical standpoint)
  8. If it's been 5 years and some people haven't gotten over not having an apparently unprofitable event, it may be time to get help.
  9. I seem to be failing to figure out why HER missing a step is CP's fault.
  10. If that were the better location, they would have put it there. Likely the cost of removing the old Flight Commander footer (which I have a sneaking suspicion is still there) and the revenue from the Eurobobbles (the traffic flow genereated by WS should bring people right by Eurobobbles... more possibilities to make $$$) were enough to make them choose the location by Action Theater.
  11. Because an attraction is currently occupying that spot?
  12. "You rode Son of Beast. Collect $25 for your bravery." More like... "You rode Son of Beast. Collect $25,000 for your medical bills."
  13. Rude guests tend to cause rude employees. Treat others how you want to be treated- if you would like, for example, the food cashiers to be nicer, try not DEMANDING a cup of water, but politely asking for it. It can make a big difference.
  14. Really? I actually rather liked BBoBH. The name has kind of grown on me (still not the best, though), and I liked the new effects, especially the fog curtain. It's better than I expected from CF. Look on the bright side, we still have a dark ride, which is more than CP can say! I think Coney Mall should hopefully look nice next year. I've kinda gotten over the fact that my home away from home is being torn to shreds... I just hope they fix the planters that just have grass in them.
  15. I wonder if in-park pricing has anything to do with it. If so, it's interesting to note that the same drink that sets you back $3.93 or $4.25 at a certain other park would only cost $2.19 or $2.49 at WDW... and down south they might even give you a lid and straw. 16. Perhaps sometimes nobody would have to say they didn't know had the guest looked at a map or signs...
  17. "Son of Beast is closed for mechanical reasons."
  18. I would say that assuming that AT was being removed is fairly reasonable, considering that a big freaking swingset is being installed right in front of the entrance to it.
  19. Probably the same reason that they remove other nice touches- they didn't find it worth taking care of.
  20. Maybe Vortex/The Vortex is finally getting a entrance closer to the station/a better queue?
  21. I don't think there's a big market for polo shirts. Every time I've seen them at a park, they were in the under $10 store.
  22. Why take the extra time to set up cones, ropes, get vehicles out of the park earlier, etc? I highly doubt that WS will draw the same crowds that DB does.
  23. Doubt it. It would leave too much of the park open early.
  24. Because a "theme park" doesn't bring to mind "a day of shows which don't hold the interest of someone under the age of 30".
