  1. I'd just like to see more artwork like this Found Here Also don't forget just a couple of years ago we did have a holiday in the park.....featuring Santa...among other holidays
  2. You'd also have the case where it gets up into the 60s as often happens at some point in December and a thrill seeker shows up expecting the coasters to run because its nice and sunny out, nicer than several of the weekends in October even, but the park can't open the ride because they can't properly staff them in advance. It's not just an issue of staffing but maintenance. The day after Haunt, the rides start going through maintenance to be prepared for the next season.
  3. Where was this light show located?
  4. True....after I posted, I went to the website and didn't see anything "Christmas in July." Hmm...
  5. As far as the Instagram posts featuring snow and a sleigh....wasn't there a Christmas in July promo going on?
  6. This will probably surprise you, lol, but I doubt that CP has Gate Central set up for re-entry into the park after you've already been in.
  7. Diamondback reportedly arrived with 3 different style of scoops...the park and B&M apparently tested and decided on the current ones seen in the photo below (the black things hanging from the end of the car. Photo Source Thanks to dropzone99 I don't believe they can be added to any other part of the train, due to the splash and how they attach to the train.
  8. RMC coasters are "relatively" cheaper from what I gather. Source Per LATimes Storm Chaser cost $10 million. Ground up, I'm going to assume depending on the scale would be between $15-20 million.
  9. My family used to skip the retail in my city and go up to Brice Rd to shop. We'd visit the now empty/retrofitted Meijer, Super Target, Discovery Zone, Sam's Club buildings. We'd also stop at Cub Foods, Factory Card Outlet, Best Buy and Hometown Buffett, just to name a few. There used to be a lot of promise.
  10. I have ridden Goliath at SFGAm (it was my 200th coaster). It was a lot of fun, short, but fun.
  11. Honestly though I'd say about 80% of the business relocated down the road, to the Pickerington/Reynoldsburg area that started to boom in the early mid 2000s. The chamber of commerce next door to the plot of land that was Consumer Square East has put forth little effort to market/sell the land for future growth. The article in 2008 was the last it was really even talked about.
  12. Without an image, it sounds like you're making it up. You may not be but please share if you can! Then explain the filtration and pumps within the fenced area of the splashdown visible from the ride. I could be wrong but sure looks like it. There are pumps to feed the water into the splash pool. Filtration, I think is there, but doesn't work how it should.
  13. ^^ I'm sure Goble...but sometimes they just change ownership. The thing that sucks about this area is it's lost a lot of good development. The overhead shot I posted which is a few miles down the road used to host a good bit of shops. It hosted a movie theater that I believe was only open a total of 6-7 years under a couple of companies. All of the buildings on the property but the old Sam's Club have been demolished....all to make it more attractive to sell....well it's now been about 8 years since demolition and it sits barren. Not even a mile down the road the area has lost a lot of business for relocation down the highway toward the area of Pickerington/Reynoldsburg. The area has seen some rebirth in retrofitting existing structures but there isn't a lot of business around there at all. Check out an article talking about the demolition and the hopeful future (written in 2008): http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/business/2008/11/08/Consumer_Square.ART_ART_11-08-08_C10_0MBR1JL.html
  14. The majority of the issues seem to be with Gate Central. For instance, we used my pass at CP tolls to park.....it had my picture....get to Marina gate....Red X no picture....associate says there isn't a picture and that's why she has to call. I go to Guest Services they state the picture isn't there.....but it was on my old pass (thankfully I took it with me) and they transferred it over to my new one. Headaches. Cedar Fair needs to just upgrade to a new system IMO.
  15. Christmas in July there was/is a current promotion for tickets.
  16. You are correct, the splash down assists with slowing the train down.
  17. It's called Gate Central. See information here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/22883-park-countgate-central/?p=406280
  18. I had the big red x on Tuesday...it was a pain. I was at the marina gate. The girl went and called, scanned me in and said to go to Guest Services. They got it corrected (I hope for the other CF parks). I'm fairly positive that CP will see a Soak City Upgrade/Expansion for 2017, I am guessing the resort gate will move closer to where the "Challenge Park" ticket booths were. I had heard rumors (as always) going around that Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora would be closing at the end of the season and CP would be getting some of the slides for the expansion. We shall see.
  19. What were the issues if you don't mind me asking? I'm assuming it's the program that houses the ticket/season pass info, not Accesso. I want to say it's was built in house but not 100% but they pull up the program when I have issues with my pass current and back in 2011 when I upgraded from a Kings Island Gold to Carowinds Platinum.
  20. They are very safe unless you take your seatbelt off. They have sensors throughout the ride to ensure cars don't travel too close. Reports I've heard state witnesses saw the woman remove her seat belt. Sent from the cellphone Zach Morris used in Saved By The Bell using Tapatalk
  21. Online as well. When you renew online you can change your picture as well.
  22. I bought some a few years ago...oh my god, I don't know how anyone drank that!
  23. I believe you are correct, it was a Holiday Inn for a while. I visited Fort Rapids once and was not impressed. :/
