Was Coasting for Kids discontinued because of the no re-ride policy? I stated in another thread (thread has since been removed but not because of what I posted), but the no re-ride policy negatively impacted a Bert the Conqueror taping on 10/31/15 and it appears as if the final episode may be tonight and if so the footage taped at KI never aired, which I didn't expect to be after what transpired that October morning. Free publicity and marketing opportunity wasted. I believe it was cancelled this year due to Cedar Fair as a whole trying to work with local charities (for each park) more. Coaster Campout - Boys and Girls Club of Cincinnati (I think) CP Valravn Auction- LBJ Foundation...etc.

Most coaster clubs cannot advertise what discounts actually are due to contracts with the parks. They can typically only offer what parks they have discounts for until you have either the password to the discount site or membership newsletters.

I don't know how ride ops are these days, but when I would spiel with the memorized approved spiels, they'd just automatically flow, there wasn't a lot of thought into: "oh what am I going to say next," "oh how can I make ___ laugh with this next one." For me it was giving the safety info (including "YOU MUST RIDE WITH YOUR SHOES ON) and then giving the stats or a short statement of what the ride was going to do. Spieling was a mindless thing for our crews...so I'm not sure what happened since then. I hate getting spieled at by the games folks....often times if I'm walking with a female, hey buddy why don't you come win something for your girlfriend? My response: "Uh....not into chicks and not my girlfriend, so not going to play." Haha! Agreed! This happens to me a lot, I'm barely in the gates the folks getting off the train I'm about to get on are hardly even standing and I'm hearing "come on in, sit down, ___ (Insert name of ride) needs to leave in 15 seconds....etc." Personally, I don't mind spieling as long as it is safety focused, isn't annoying and humor isn't overdone. I've been to parks where there is 0 spieling and I hated it. I felt like the crews weren't even excited to have you there. I've also been to parks where crews are spieling without a microphone, talk about vocal chord damage trying to speak over the ride/guests. Having wore the mics at Kings Island, they aren't real easy to adjust when you receive it during rotation and trying to spiel when the train is coming into the station, so I can understand when it sounds like the ride ops are eating the mic...but they should be able to adjust a bit. *EDIT- The mics that are used are what I consider more for recording/live theater/lectures not for public address.* The park also needs to adjust the volume though.

I saw a video today of a ride on WindSeeker at KI......on snap chat.....through one of their features to "share your day at an amusement park." There were many on ride videos/pictures on this story.....smh....got to love when 3rd parties encourage the use of electronic devices on rides.

The building currently houses: Tech Services and the home of Urgent Scare that has been rumored to be leaving for several years now. I'm hoping U.S. leaves for a new haunted attraction. A Plants Vs. Zombies attraction would be nice, but I'm hoping we don't get it......I did it at Carowinds this past Saturday...it was fun, but it was complicated. Hard to see where you actually are shooting and the marks are off. But again, it could be a welcomed attraction. Just would hope they'd fix the bottle neck getting to AT.

Unfortunately nope.....you have to pay for FunPix again for the day or season if you want to use it at CP.

I have 2 issues with the program: 1) Not being able to use my all season FunPix at multiple Cedar Fair Parks. Due to this, I have bought two programs, one at Cedar Point and the other at Kings Island. Even though they are individual parks, I can view my pictures from Cedar Point on the KI app and vise versa. Tried to scan my pass at another park this weekend and it didn't allow me to use it. 2) Not able to edit the photos....if you are halfway out of the picture you can't move yourself to be more in view.

Parks still offer pins in merch shops.....not really thinking the emphasis is on trading.

It isn't RMC that's directly having issues with LIM/LSMs it's a 3rd party, I believe Velocity Magnetics.

Totally agree! To me it doesn't make sense. But the "fee" may be due to the service of hosting the commerce, but you'd think the fee would go to the parks.
