I think it is probably more work to put your arms up on that ride than to hold the straps, but it is different for everyone so I could be wrong. I rode Mean Streak without trims earlier this summer, and it was a phenomenal ride. Not boring, not painful, not a waste of time. Phenomenal. This ride has potential of they were to do something with it.

However, if you are in line when it gets shut down prior to the show, it will reopen approximately 15 minutes after the fireworks end. So don't leave the line!

Do you know how stupid that would look? Plus there would be a lot of downtime. That is a matter of opinion. I think ZacSpin coasters look pretty cool, and have potential to be done up nicely. I'm sure people said the first Drop Tower looked stupid too. Like, "Oh man, look at that giant pole!"

Yes, you get free parking with your Platinum Pass. And yes, the shows should still be going on. Just listen to the park loudspeakers and they will announce a half hour and 15 minutes before the shows start. As for what I recommend riding, find things that are exclusive to Kings Island as opposed to Cedar Point. Also, The Beast is a must if you like roller coasters because of how unique it truly is. In terms of what to do first, I recommend the Eiffel Tower so that you can scope everything out. In terms of food, if you have never tried a Skyline chili cheese dog, do it. It is a local thing, and it is something worth doing. They aren't too expensive compared to other foods within the park. Also check out the blue ice cream. Have fun while at the park! Make sure you check out the Banshee construction site while there!
