  1. To set a signature, click your name at the top of the forum and go to Account Settings. You will see Signature as an item you can set there.
  2. A boarding pass is a much better experience than waiting in an excessively-long physical line. My only concern is that some guests will find a way to hoard them to get several rides. A return to the Freeway system from Millennium Force's first few seasons might be the fairest solution. You can't hold more than one return time when it's stamped on your hand.
  3. Nope. We got quotes from several screen printing and direct-to-garment printing companies, but none there! We ordered samples from CustomCat out of Detroit, and though the print quality is very good, they didn't properly place artwork onto some of the size/color combinations. The shirts that did print correctly look great. We can't wait to get them out!
  4. Quick update on the shirts - some of the samples we ordered were messed up by the printing company, so we're working with them to make sure it's resolved before we go live. Sorry for the delay!
  5. The Action Theater operated with new, non-motion seats from 2011-2013, showing Dinosaurs Alive 3D.
  6. You're certainly welcome to your own opinion, but if you're going to argue it in a public forum, please keep it based on facts. Otherwise, threads get derailed pretty quickly. If you compare the level of recent investment at Kings Island to that of other US seasonal parks, it's crystal clear that we have not gotten the shaft. Zimmerman's comment was about opportunities to dramatically grow the company. Cedar Point has the potential to transform into a multi-day resort destination, Carowinds has plenty of room to grow attendance from their market, and the California parks have big opportunities thanks to their locations. Kings Island already does extremely well in its market, reflected in the high level of continued investment we get compared to the rest of the chain. The fact that Cedar Point might end up getting even bigger toys doesn't mean we're getting the shaft.
  7. We can have our disagreements, but please don't go around calling other people liars. Also, don't be rude to Brad for stepping in; that's what moderators do. The 2016 TEA report that @KIghostguycited lists Kings Island as the second-most attended seasonal park in the US after Cedar Point. Knott's Berry Farm and Canada's Wonderland have higher attendance than either, but neither is a US seasonal park. Just to note, Cedar Fair doesn't release per-park attendance figures; the TEA numbers are only estimates. So arguing about rankings based on them is sort of silly.
  8. The video doesn't show the type of camera equipment being carried, so it's hard to know the context. KI encourages guests to take pictures and video around the park, except where restricted (i.e. on rides and in restrooms/changing areas). One generally does need permission for "commercial" photography, such as for (paid) stock photos/videos. It's possible that this YouTuber had equipment, such as a stabilizing rig or very long lens, that made him stand out.
  9. It would be very interesting to know whether the failure on Saturday was logical or mechanical.
  10. Just a reminder that today is the last day to buy tickets and register!
  11. The Sandusky Register has the official statement from the park. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/story/201805050006
  12. Most parks that do Three Point Challenge have a waiting period before the same player can win again. It has the magic combination of being possible to master while having relatively substantial prizes for a midway game.
  13. Camden Park is back in the news due to a lawsuit over an injury that happened on the Tilt-A-Whirl last season. https://wvrecord.com/stories/511399901-mother-sues-camden-park-after-her-son-was-ran-over-by-tilt-a-whirl-car
  14. When ERT was a full hour in 2012, it was only one ride (Diamondback), and the first half hour was very sparsely attended. Since 2013, it has been 30 minutes but with more rides.
  15. And ban said pilot from entering the premises.
  16. This has happened to me three times - once each at Kings Island, Kings Dominion and Six Flags Great Adventure. It's important to stay on the line (or answer, if they hang up and call back) so they know there's not a real emergency. The dispatchers in Virginia and New Jersey were nice about it. Warren County told me to be more careful. Making emergency call mode easy to access while preventing accidental calls is easier said than done. When this happens with a satellite communications device, it can be a lot worse.
  17. I wouldn't do KI and CP on the same day since I live halfway between the parks, but I have visited Kings Dominion and Carowinds on the same calendar day. I got one meal at each park. What I don't know is whether you would get 2 meals or 3 meals if you started at KI, then drove to CP with enough time to wait out the 4-hour interval between meals there.
  18. Google sometimes does that, especially in the off-season. If enough people click Report, the "permanently closed" statement should go away.
  19. Kings Island originally owned that land as part of the campground. When Great Wolf Lodge was built, it became property of the new resort. Paramount Parks retained a stake in GWL Mason for consideration of the land, but that stake was sold by Cedar Fair to Great Wolf Resorts after the Paramount acquisition. Thus, Great Wolf itself currently has full ownership of the property.
  20. Your graphics are always most welcome, Thrill_Biscuit! We are indeed hoping to have something for sale soon; stay tuned! @LMHConcepts, who designed the KIC logo, has been at work on this behind-the-scenes.
  21. It's not all season, but platinum passholders can claim one free beer at Cedar Point's Brew & BBQ.
  22. I renewed at the park, so there was no e-mail receipt. Without a receipt, there was nothing they could do, even after walking into Knott's Guest Services with KI Guest Services on the phone. Prior to the issue at Knott's, I had never had a pass issue at any Cedar Fair park.
  23. Parking, admission, and dining plans worked perfectly. It was just the 2018 drink plans that weren't yet on KI passes. Lesson learned: bring a pass renewal receipt when visiting for the first time each season.
  24. I have two on my pass this year; I purchased the second at Knott's Berry Farm in January since my first wasn't working. I don't need two drink plans, so I asked Guest Services at KI to cancel and refund the redundant one on Opening Day. They couldn't issue a refund, but they gave me Beagle Bucks to reimburse me for having to buy two.
  25. Father's Day is also on the schedule, which you can see by going to Bring A Friend in the online ticket store. Special days are listed with a discount ticket price. Other discount bring-a-friend days may be announced as the season progresses; keep an eye on the events page on the park's website. In past years, these have been on another Sunday in June or July and on weekdays at the end of the summer season.
