Ha ha. What I meant to imply was the possibility that improper guest "interaction" caused damage requiring repairs.

Hopefully, not the result of stupid guests messing with the clock. And hopefully, that's not the reason the clock hands went missing in the first place....

To clarify, according to comments on the original post, this is next to Breakers Express, which is on the mainland, not Hotel Breakers, which is on the peninsula. -
I've recently often had problems with pages being very slow to load, but I haven't had a page completely hang on me... yet.

(which is incorrectly in the polls section, hence the reposting here in the correct section... )

Copying from the KICentral (dark) skin and then pasting as rich (formatted) text can sometimes cause formatting problems. I suspect that it's a problem with the way the custom skin is coded.

Fixed to make it readable on the IP.Board skin:

Okay. Changing the subject. GOCC has posted on Facebook that the coaster timeline signs have come down and the fence has been reconfigured. Here's one of the pics they posted: -
I have never entertained the possibility of buying a cabana, and after reading this, probably never will (at least at KI). (P.S. How does this belong in the Polls section? )

Cedar Point 2016 Talk

That could very well be the underlying reason. Not just coming up with a new name, but designing a whole new logo and theme, and then producing new shirts and other merchandise to be sold on announcement day/night (if they were planning on that). That type of thing doesn't happen overnight. Depending on the new theme (if this theory is correct), they might even need to arrange for the track to be (re)painted in new colors. Also, if this is true, the Cedar Point just can't win with names of mythical creatures associated with death. At least Banshee got reused. Hopefully Valravn will still see the light of day in some form. -

From Cedar Point's Twitter: EDIT: What ^he said, plus a link. -
Ugh! That is the week I usually marathon rides. Last week of daily ops and kids are mostly back in school. Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system. In my past experience, bring-a-friend days in late August typically do not have any appreciable impact on crowds, certainly nowhere near the level of impact seen on Father's Day. They should still be excellent days to visit the park.

I'll have to keep an eye on this when planning my trip next year. Was thinking about the week of Labor Day, but may push it to later in the year depending on how long this takes.

Apologies for the double post. I saw this mentioned on Facebook and thought I'd bring it up here. The term "Valravn" has connotations of death. Five days before the big announcement, somebody died at Cedar Point. If "Valravn" is indeed the current name of the 2016 project, might they pull a Mantis and quickly change out the name for something less likely to offend? -
I'd rather have fewer and better mazes. Quality over quantity. If dropping to eight or so mazes allows more resources to be turned towards improving the quality of those eight, then that would be my preference.

Ain't that the truth. Correction: some people. I personally think that the dive, at least on SheiKra (the only one I've ridden), is purely a gimmick, and a boring one at that. The complete stop at the top robs the drop of all excitement IMHO. -
Saturday showtimes are 1:30, 3:30, 5:00, and 7:00. Meet-and-greets are done after the 1:30 and 5:00 shows.

I'm not just talking about amusement parks here. Of what I originally quoted, sales tax, law enforcement, and building codes are completely independent of the amusement industry. In essence, why would anyone build any business of any kind where it straddles a state border? True, but you did not clarify that in your first post and, as this is a forum built upon amusement parks, it is easy to assume you are only talking about amusement parks. Fair enough. Both of us could have been clearer initially.

Does Kings Island's All Season Dining Plan Affect Other Businesses?
jcgoble3 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I visited McDonald's up by exit 25 following the midnight close on July 25, and had to wait about five minutes for my turn to order and another ten minutes to get my food because it was so busy. Also, the drive-through when I walked in was lined up to the point of blocking all of the handicap spots and then some; I think the line to order was about six to eight cars long, not counting all the cars that already ordered and were waiting to get to the pick-up window. -

On what date? The linked page suggests August 21, but it's not completely clear.
