  1. Well, among other things, I was wondering if a fix for the iPhone problem that kept you away had been found yet. Because none of us want to lose you.
  2. What's the current status regarding the server change mentioned in the OP, and is there any news on solutions to the problems we encountered on IPS4? Just trying to stay in the loop here.
  3. "Two" much? Are you saying that Dorney is getting two coasters next year? jcgoble3, interpreting (or attempting to )
  4. Posted earlier by malem: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/31449-fire-at-mad-river-mountain/
  5. I've never been to Indiana Beach. Are Taco Shoppe and Pronto Pups really that good? jcgoble3, saving IndyGuy from quadruple posting
  6. Where would be an appropriate place to post my PayPal address so that parks can buy awards from me? On a more serious note, I'll see what I can come up with, but not before I get back to Kentucky Kingdom, because Thunderbird needs some serious competition in the Best New Ride category and I haven't ridden T3 yet.
  7. On that date, the 49th year will already be over and we'll be getting ready for the 50th year/49th anniversary. (Direct subtraction of one year from the other only counts one of the endpoint years, which is appropriate for the anniversary. However, both endpoints must be counted for the "Xth year"; e.g. 1973 - 1972 = 1, but 1973 is obviously the second year, not the first.)
  8. So you weren't just dreaming about KI, you were dreaming about KIC as well!
  9. Yep. He basically quoted the entire interview in an edit to the OP.
  10. Disney doesn't need awards to pull in massive crowds, so why should they pay for said awards?
  11. I can only wonder how much these parks paid for these "awards".
  12. Paging VortexBFForever! I know she had a semi-complete list of songs played on WindSeeker at one point.
  13. For a while last season, Hanks had a sign on the post facing the door pointing to one side for drinks only and the other side for food orders. Great idea, however unfortunately, I never once saw it actually being used that way, and I don't know why.
  14. Same restraints. Note that if you had the problems with tightening vests on Gatekeeper opening year, those problems have been fixed, and Banshee received the fixed restraints to begin with. "fixed" Count one. I don't understand this post. Explain, please?

  17. This is why I specifically request to NOT sit in the bar area. When you sit in the bar area, the same person that tends bar must come out from behind the bar to take your order and be your server, and when they get busy, the bartender can't get away from the bar long enough to do so, and no regular servers are assigned to that area to the best of my knowledge. I don't care if there's a one-hour wait for a regular table/booth but I can be seated immediately in the bar area. I'll wait the one hour, thankyouverymuch. If you absolutely must sit in the bar area when they're even semi-busy, it's best to get up from your table, walk up to the bar, and get the bartender's attention to let them know you're there/ready to order/need drinks/need your check/need anything else, because like I said, it can be difficult for the bartender to escape the bar long enough to circle around, help you, and then circle back around to the inside of the bar. (It doesn't help that the gap in the bar allowing access to/from the inside is on the complete opposite side from most of the outer tables.) Oh, and if you do sit in the bar area, please, please do NOT order Mello Yello! The bar does NOT have Mello Yello on tap, meaning that the bartender must leave the bar and go all the way back to the kitchen to pour the drink, leaving the bar understaffed or unstaffed for an extended period of time. This is another reason why I refuse to sit in the bar area any more.
  18. Only just now after reading malem's post and the following posts did I realize that there was white text there. I personally use the white background theme because I hate going from a site with a dark background to the bright white backgrounds that dominate the internet. It hurts my eyes.
  19. 1. This is now Thunder Rapids. I'm not sure why it isn't on the website, but it's there. Thunder Rapids is normally open (but see #2). 2. During the heart of the season, all rides are fully staffed and open all day (with Big Kahuna and Thunder Rapids opening one to two hours later than the park) barring technical, weather, or other issues. However, late in the season (i.e. now), The Beach uses a "ride rotation" to be able to operate as many rides as possible with significantly reduced staffing. This means that while most or all rides will be open at some point in the day, not all rides will be open all day. Typically, The Cliff, Banzai Blast (formerly The Banzai), and the wave pool will be open all day due to their popularity, while other attractions will operate in shifts as determined by management, and occasionally one or two less popular attractions (but not a whole lot) will remain closed (Thunder Rapids is often one such ride, as it was yesterday). Also, expect the possibility that the lazy river will only be open halfway around, meaning that you would have to enter at one entrance only and get out at the other entrance (this enables them to use half the lifeguards for the river). You'll want to listen to the public address system, as ride rotations will be announced over that throughout the day and may vary from day to day.
  20. From the looks of things as I drove in late this afternoon, road work has already started along Kings Island Drive between the passenger drop-off area and the south exit.
  21. Racer is a station wait.
  22. It was a little darker than normal because a show was in progress. Also, just out of frame in that shot are the drink fountains, which are moved into a self-serve position. Not sure whether that's permanent or just for Dollar Days.
  23. Festhaus pizza lines currently:
  24. Ok, so if I am understanding this correcting...If I am in the park and LEAVE the gate during before Haunt starts, I must re-enter before the 6p or 7p time or I won't be allowed back in. This is important, and I don't want to misunderstand: I most likely will be going on 11-1-15 for closing day; I'm fairly certain I have that day off. I am also thinking of going after work on 10-31; but I don't get off work until 730p, and I have about a 2 hour drive. Will my gold pass get me in to Haunt at 9 or 10pm, or are gold passes not valid for Haunt only? You can make your INITIAL entry anytime before the park closes at 1am. However, you cannot RE-enter after the cutoff time. In other words, handstamps are not accepted after the cutoff, nor will Gold/Platinum Passes that have already been scanned that day successfully scan again. EDIT: What malem said.
  25. Terpy, that's a bad one. Really, really bad. *facepalm*
