  1. I can't help; I turned off emails for likes, PMs, and replies to watched threads a long time ago. I get like notifications only through the web interface, where they are still coming in fine as of tonight. (PMs and watched thread replies are turned into push notifications on my phone by Tapatalk.)
  2. And this is why photography is prohibited in all restrooms and changing rooms at Cedar Fair parks. (At least I hope that's the rule at all Cedar Fair parks....)

  5. Yes, that would be 6-2: car 6, row 2 within that car.
  6. I honestly do not recall anything from those. For some reason I have retained almost no memories from childhood.
  7. Actually, I haven't seen them in movies (primarily because one would be shocked at how few non-Star Wars movies I've seen), but I now know what you're talking about anyway. Thanks!
  8. Forgive my ignorance: what's a Murphy bed?
  9. Shoot the Rapids is indeed Intamin, and has had multiple issues. First, the opening was repeatedly delayed because, of all things, the boats provided did not fit in the trough. Then, in 2013, a boat occupied by riders broke free from one of the lift hills and flipped over, landing upside down in the water. Several guests had to jump into the water to flip it back over before riders would have drowned. The latter incident had quite a bit of discussion here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/27789-shoot-the-rapids-boat-flips-over-with-riders/
  10. Yes! I would have LOVED to ride Vortex by myself! My, how times have changed. The headache Vortex gives me now isn't worth it anymore. For those who can tolerate it, ride on. As for me, I will probably watch from the sideline from now on. (Thanks to Terpy for bringing this post to my attention by "liking" it. )
  11. And The Beast actually has six cars per train, not five, so all of those numbers are even higher.
  12. Park "willing to consider": http://www.sanduskyregister.com/Environment/2015/11/24/Cedar-Point-asked-to-restore-wetlands-area.html
  13. A friend posted the cake she made for her husband's birthday and it looks amazing - http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/08/chocolate-peanut-butter-cake/ Like a massive buckeye. Yum! But the caramel apple cake looks perfect for fall - http://www.honeybearlane.com/2013/09/caramel-apple-cake-recipe.html See the dilemma? They both look very good. Eh, still an easy choice. I don't like caramel.
  14. Definitely the chocolate peanut butter cake. *drools*
  15. That's a fair question, and the answer is dependent on your definition of a "ride". For example, I don't consider it a ride, but the Ohio Department of Agriculture does.
  16. I've had multiple people ask me (even while in line for it!) how wet you get. Not if you get wet, but how wet. I'm always amazed by those questions.
  17. In my case, I had to remind the employee at the photo booth to censor the photo, as they initially didn't notice it. They looked at it again, laughed (really?), hit the censor button, and went on with whatever they were doing. To my knowledge, no other action was taken.
  18. True. Once this past season, my Beast photo was censored because the kid in front of me flipped off the camera.
  19. That one has nothing after May 8; the one I linked has no posts prior to May 16. Perhaps that disgruntled employee removed all of the other admins from the page, and management couldn't get back in so they had to create a new page.
  20. So are you saying that something new is going in said box soon? jcgoble3, interpreting
  21. Are you looking at the right page, or an impostor? This page looks like the official one, and is active with recent posts about the closure.
  22. I question just what they tested. Color Me Rad, the company that does the annual color run at KI in May, describes their color powder as "non-toxic, non-rash-inducing colored corn starch". I know there are various imported color powders available for sale online (such as on Amazon), and I've always wondered just what is in those (a prime reason I've never purchased some just for fun at home, as I've wanted to for a while). But I've been under the impression that the major U.S. color run organizers (Color Me Rad, The Color Run, etc.) make their own color powder with safety in mind. So did they buy some random imported stuff online, or did they obtain a sample from one of the major domestic organizers?
