Tampon dispenser, I guess?

Why would the official public relations account for any business be private? Hint: PUBLIC relations.

Meanwhile, I haven't received an email newsletter from Kings Island since... November 2014. :/

Frisch's Big Boy: What Up?
jcgoble3 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The only things I find worth ordering at Frisch's are the open faced roast beef and mashed potatoes, the chili and spaghetti, the #1 breakfast combo, and the hot fudge cake. I can't even remember the last time I ordered something other than one of those four items at a Frisch's. -
Kings Island overall food concession experience 2015
jcgoble3 replied to Tr0y's topic in Kings Island
But it doesn't have to be. And considering recent trends toward more healthy, natural eating, it really shouldn't be. Plymouth Rock Café at Holiday World comes to mind here... jcgoble3, wishing he could have made a trip to Holiday World this year -
Cabana at Boomerang Bay and parking question

Whatever happened to that promise?

I'm aware of that. What I'm saying is that Skeleton Key does not appear to be available by itself. The listing for Fright Lane by itself does not mention Skeleton Key. Only the listing in that section for the admission-and-Fright-Lane combo mentions the inclusion of Skeleton Key. Unless this is an error, the implication is that Fright Lane does NOT include Skeleton Key UNLESS you buy it in combination with an admission ticket. Which is stupid.

I do. She's 61 years young. I'm fortunate to still have both of my grandmothers; one is 83, and the other is 88. Sadly, both of my grandfathers died last decade, my dad's father a week before Thanksgiving 2000 (I was 13 at the time, and was pulled out of class during a Friday afternoon movie without being told what was going on until my parents arrived and arranged a meeting with the counselor), and my mom's father shortly after high school graduation (I don't remember precisely when, as I only saw him about once a year and never really had a relationship with him).

Possibly a symptom of charging 99 cents for refills. Add tax to that, and you get $1.05 (I think), which means people digging for spare change and/or the cashier having to count out almost a full dollar's worth of change. Solution? Figure out what price becomes precisely $1.00 when tax is added, and charge that rather than 99 cents. The Columbus Zoo, for example, charges 93 cents to refill a souvenir cup, which becomes $1.00 even after tax, which is much faster than dealing with change. Yet Kings Island charges an extra nickel, which is perhaps a leftover from the Kinzel era?

I just poked around a bit on the Haunt site, and when I got into the ticket store, I noticed that in the Fright Lane section, Skeleton Key is listed ONLY on the admission/Fright Lane combo deal. There is NO mention of it on the listing for Fright Lane a la carte. I really hope that is simply an error, and that Skeleton Key is still available without buying an admission ticket, because if it isn't, that's a really, really stupid way to alienate a very large portion of your attendees (i.e. Gold and Platinum Passholders) by telling them that they must buy an admission ticket they don't need to get Skeleton Key.

The Wikipedia editors who primarily work with amusement park articles continue to stubbornly rely on RCDB, despite the fact that many of its claims are easily proven false. This is part of the reason why I no longer regularly edit Wikipedia.

You're comparing apples to oranges by thinking in terms of today's dollars. Add inflation in to that. As the pass prices go up, so too does the cost of everything else in life, and hopefully wages also. Seven years from now, $124 might be cheaper than $94 is today. "Always in motion, the future is."
-
Ah, I didn't look that closely. I just brought up the season pass page and glanced at the price. I didn't open the store pop-up.
-
Current price is $189, which is the same whether renewing or purchasing new. Renewal discounts aren't offered until prices go up in November, but at that point the renewal price will almost certainly be higher than the current sale price.
-
Do you think Kings Island will ever hit $126.00? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ever? Ever is a very long time. Give inflation another ten to twenty years and, assuming that there is no change in ownership or season pass levels, I'm sure it eventually will.
-
Finally! It only took, what, nine years? Given that, and the other part I quoted, perhaps Cedar Point Platinum Pass holders should renew through the Kings Island online store to save 4%?

Ooh! True night rides on closing day!

I spent one summer in Boy Scouts and went on one campout. That was enough to determine that it was not for me. I need my electricity and modern plumbing!
-
To be fair, the time difference between your post and mine was only five seconds.
-
Took me a minute to figure out that you meant Boy Scouts. At first, I read "BS" as something that the word filter here won't let me say.

So nice he posted it twice!

With regard to the parking tickets, that probably just means that the collection company tries to badger and annoy the person enough to make him or her want to pay the ticket to shut them up. Unless local law enforcement officers are issuing the tickets (as opposed to private security/"mall cops"), I doubt they can actually enforce it in a court. As for tailgating out of the garage without paying, that would most likely be a criminal offense called "theft of services", for which the police could become involved.
