Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
jcgoble3 replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
So now we're not only bumping ancient threads, but we're preparing current threads for being bumped years from now? This site gets better by the day. -
Well, we're helping.

HTML collapses consecutive literal spaces into one space anyway, so unless they use an entity to represent one of the spaces, it ain't gonna make a difference. On the other hand, adding instructions for Maggie on a public webpage makes a huge difference.
-
Well, I'm glad I'm not Maggie.

While it is true that the park counts The Racer as one coaster, the park also counts Surf Dog as a coaster. When you fix both of those mistakes, the net change is zero. jcgoble3, aware that he's probably opening a massive can of worms here...

I thought it was the 44th? This is a common math error. It is the 44th anniversary and 45th season. When counting the total number of seasons, the count must be inclusive of both ends, but simply subtracting one from the other produces a number that only counts one end (which is correct only for the anniversary). To illustrate, 1973 − 1972 = 1, but everyone can agree that 1973 was not the first season, but rather the second; it was, however, the first anniversary.

When Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally in theaters!

They must really be desperate if they're resorting to spamming web forms.

^ That seems reasonable. A double turn lane for southbound is a good idea. I would say though that I'm guessing the continuous right-turn lane for northbound traffic will have at least two lanes (the old south tolls had three turn lanes for northbound), and the driveway in the lower right will probably become right-in/right-out only with an uninterrupted median strip across from it, requiring traffic wishing to make a left out of the church lot to exit at the traffic light instead.

It appears so, yes.

Cedar Fair pursues new strategies

Excellent. Dirt to Daytona was perhaps my favorite NASCAR game on my old PS2. (Darlington, I still hate you. ) -

EA no longer has the NASCAR license? Good. -

Anyone here have any idea when that contract expires? -
I don't know, but it does appear that the light at the north exit will be expanded to include the entrance, as the new entrance road is right next to the existing exit road. It will be nice to finally have a traffic light to aid me in making that left turn into the parking lot.

From Kings Island's Twitter feed: Lookin' good there! Should make for some nice photos next year.

Why, to celebrate a friend's mi- Okay, I'll stop now. That was what made the last train of the season enjoyable for me.

1. No rider who meets the height requirements should have to actively employ defensive techniques to ride a coaster. If they do, then the design of the coaster is inherently flawed, and lawyers would probably have a field day if a rider was injured as a result of that flaw. 2. Another reason for me to retire from riding Vortex. If you're not enjoying it, then why are you bothering to ride it in the first place?

True. He doesn't engage in forum archaeology just to occasionally bump threads. Sometimes he just likes a post, often one relevant to a current discussion or recent event, and moves on.
