I had a brief KI dream either last night or this morning: I was at Festhaus with some other KICers and someone (it may have been BoddaH1994) brought up "Harry and the Hendersons". I looked at my watch and it was 10. However, I don't remember if it was AM or PM, but I could see it was dark out as I think one of the back doors was opened (as in, one of the doors that leads to Action Zone). For the record, I've never seen "Harry and the Hendersons", however, it was mentioned during a sketch comedy show I saw Friday night, so that's probably where that came from...

... When you pass 3 closed (for the season) theme parks (Timber Falls/MT. Olmpus/Six Flags Great America) on vacation. ...When you start planning for 2017. My plans include Mystic Timbers, Carowinds, a NorCal trip, and Wisconsin Dells area.

Was there a spider room? I sure didn't see it. Was it towards the beginning? Also, can I just say that Blackout is the most terrifing maze I've ever done (due to the loud noises and darkness, which made for sustained terror)? The whole Stormy Ascent Crash Bandicoot 1 vibe (due to the sound effects) was cool for like 2 seconds, then I wanted to just find my way out. It's like there are all the other Haunt mazes, and then there's Blackout. If you enjoy getting scared, do Blackout. However, I'll still may end up doing it again next year.

I would love to see a longer, taller, faster (with longer trains) version of Thunderbird at Holiday World and/or an Intamin Impulse coaster. However, I think we'll probably get a B&M giga next. However, I'm also not counting out anything other than a B&M Giga (such as a Dive, RMC, etc.)

I'm guessing they will, if only to obscure construction of the shed. That would be really cool if they set up a cam in the woods, maybe at the lake crossing

I agree, I loved working/being in the park during Christmas in July just because of the instrumental music. Though I did enjoy it and would love for it to make a return to I-Street, I also don't mind some of the songs on the playlist, especially some of the newer songs, including Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco and Zayn.

...when the weather is nice outside, but then you think "Wait, Kings Island's not open!" as I did earlier today... approx. 6 more months; we can do this!
-
As a guest, 11 (which is the option I voted for, 11-20). As an employee, at least 3 times that! My most visited month was October- I went 3 times; twice for Haunt and once for Closing Day.

...when you miss seeing Blood Drums live while passing out trick-or-treats (though the 2 shows I did see were fantastic!)

2016 was an interesting year for me at the park. I worked at the park for a good portion of the season, and got to be a guest quite a few times as well. Recent highlights would have to be doing all of the Haunt mazes in one season (something I've never done before!), going through my first Skeleton Key room (thanks Sam for the invite!) and the fantastic Closing Day that occurred yesterday... from Blood Drums in the rain to my last few rides of the season, it was a great way to end KI's 2016 season! Also, Tropical Plunge was a much needed addition to the waterpark and it makes it feel more complete! I'm so much looking forward to riding Mystic Timbers in 2017; the views I've seen so far make it look amazing-and it's not even done yet! EDIT: I also forgot about attending the announcement for Mystic Timbers; that was pretty cool!

As always, thanks for the pics, Magenta Lizard; can't wait to see MT up close in a few hours!

I had a dream last night/this morning that I was at the park and lockers cost $91 (yes, seriously!). So, I was trying to stash my stuff in my fanny pack the whole time. I walked through the right side of I-Street and then I was in Coney Mall. Also, I went through a walk-through in that apparently turned into Urgent Scare at night (it wasn't where Urgent Scare typically is, though, but I exited near the WindSeeker end of Coney, though I don't know if WindSeeker was there). Finally, I really wanted to ride our floorless coaster Dominator (yes, the floorless coaster that is current at KD; in my dream I think that we had it) so I had to trek back from the back of Coney. However, I woke up while walking back from Coney.

LA Times article on RMC at Cedar Fair

I hope they don't RMC Racer, it's still a good ride, not to mention a classic. Also, I don't think we need to go the way of Six Flags and RMC everything! However, I would not mind a custom (from the ground-up) RMC creation at Kings Island. -
Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th

See also Batman: Knight Flight (+Superman/Roadrunner Express/Villian) and X-Flight for SFWOA's 2000/2001 seasons. On a side note, I was just wowed by the fact that Six Flags spent that much money that season on coasters (because B&M's and CCI Hybrids aren't cheap, ya know ) -

You're thinking of Lost Gravity at Walibi Holland (formally known as Six Flags Holland) -

As everyone else said, congratulations malem; you'll do great! -
Way to go Brendan!

Cool picture; I didn't know if/realize Tower was open during Haunt because of the eyes (and I saw no one up there!).

I remember walking through misters while working a cold day in Soak City... not fun!
-
Thank you! It was fun working in there back then. We had a good crew. -Gator aka The Bouncer, Club Blood 2008 (it's second year) I didn't know you worked Club Blood; cool! Also, it was great to see Sam last nightl I went through Slaughter House twice. ---- And overall, had a fantastic night last night, here are some highlights: -Attended the 10 PM Blood Drums performance, which was amazing (got a CD) -Finally did Blackout, it was terrifying (and not in a good way!- I was shaking when I came out) -FoS was good, but I guess I was expecting more -Saw so many scareactor friends last night, so that was fun -Got an almost solo trip (there was another group, but they were far ahead of me) through Backwoods right before close and that was so much fun (and very beautiful with all the greenery/fog)! -Rode some classic coasters like Adventure Express, Blue Racer, The Bat, Vortex and Flight of Fear (I plan on riding Beast/Banshee on Closing Day!) Speaking of Closing Day, can't wait to see everyone and have our last hurrah!

I did Wolf Pack two Fridays ago, and it was interesting. I'd describe it as a lot of things that could potentially scare you, but with one really loud scare. Also, walking up to WP was cool as it was SOB's old queue, I didn't realize how narrow that path is!
-
Good to know that that stench is actually very necessary (because we don't want our beloved mazes to go up in flames!); I remember smelling it in Killmart (and a bit in Urgent Scare) when the KIC group went through 2 Fridays ago! Also, hoping to try Field of Screams and Blackout this Friday, along with another trip through the Bayou. Also, Magenta Lizard, how was Field of Screams?
-
I thought there was one near where Banshee's boomerang is now, or at least it allowed us to see that part of the construction (it may have been on the backside of SOB's station)
-
Cool, thanks for the info.

Hey all, quick question: Does anyone on here () know if Blood Drums/Monster Rock plays on Sundays, specifically Closing Day?
