  1. Because he announces this on his website and has probably reached out to all the media: Are you a reporter looking for expert information regarding Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Herschend Entertainment, Dollywood, Parques Reunidos, Merlin Entertainments, Ardent Leisure, theme parks, amusment parks, waterparks, zoos, aquariums, family entertainment centers or anything in the leisure industry? Dennis Speigel would be pleased to provide his expert opinion on numerous topics and has been quoted in many major publications worldwide! I have mentioned it before, but if he is always showing to not be a credible source, why does the media continue to go to him? From my perspective, there are members on this forum with more credibility... And how does him being wrong all the time not hurt his business? Plus I suspect he must not work with CF which is why he so freely offers up his "expert" opinions. I have also mentioned earlier, maybe he is on some secret retainer with CF to give out false information to divert attention away so that when CF decides to make an announcement, like a ride announcement, it catches everyone by surprise?...
  2. Some additional insight into Six Flags procedures: Reservations will be a day and time to limit how many enter at one time. Cincinnati Zoo announced they will do that too BTW. 3 tiers of registration levels - their top membership category gets first shot, passholders will be next, followed by daily admission. https://www.yahoo.com/news/six-flags-reopens-post-pandemic-110017517.html
  3. Correct, but if someone's predictions are always wrong, do you put credibility to their predictions? The article would have been better to do what they normally do and cite a prediction they read in this forum lol
  4. I'll jump on the Shaggy wagon too LOL. More articles on this forum that quote Dennis and he was wrong more than he is right... As HC325 said - even looking at plans, Dennis couldn't figure out what we were getting. Members here have predicted things better than he has. Given DeWine allowing business leaders within their respective industries to be the make up of Task Forces for their industries, I think even his statement about limiting capacity to 15,000 will be off. I think they will follow the restaurant leads and say "It will be up to each attraction owner to decide how they plan to address the social distancing guidelines, so a capacity limit will not be introduced"
  5. Did you find that article in the Coronavirus impacting theme parks thread
  6. No shoes, No shirts, No smartphone, No service
  7. Don't worry, they will soon offer the $69.99 season-long recharging add-on plan
  8. And charging stations sponsored by Accesso charging $6.99 to charge your phone... These systems will be a battery consumer - it would need constant access to your location, etc.
  9. They look happier to meet her mom lol = Somewhere Taylor is telling people she got her photo with a star of Modern Family
  10. Wait a minute, you met Eric Stonestreet and Taylor Swift in one night But where are you in the pic
  11. Translation...spent the evening with Taylor Swift for free and complains about having to pay for parking
  12. Looks like even this was cancelled...poor Jurassic Park https://www.jurassicworldlivetour.com/?country=US&language=en-US,en;q=0.9
  13. ^I have no doubt people will flock to KI when it opens. I also think their reservation system will "sell-out" very quickly - maybe not Disney quickly, but quick enough that people will be mad they didn't set their alarm to make the reservation when it opened...
  14. What will probably end up happening with the reservation system is now it will become "exclusive" and the demand will be higher than if there was no reservation system - FOMO is real and a reservation system feeds that feeling.. It was pointed out earlier in this thread by former employees that the park capacity is around 70,000 and in the summer they said the park rarely hit days over around 35,000 or so and that would be a weekend. So if a reservation system results in them hitting 7 days/week at 35,000, then they come out ahead than a typical summer weekday where they would probably be in the 20k range for most of the weekdays... We all know from an attendance standpoint, CF as a chain will not break any attendance records (except for the wrong ones like lowest attendance in April LOL), but on a per day standpoint, they may actually have a higher average attendance per operating day number compared to a typical season because of the reservation system. I can certainly see a real possibility that their per caps numbers will be decent this year.
  15. Proof people will visit when a park opens - Tickets for Disney’s Shanghai Theme Park Sell Out in Minutes
  16. You are right LOL And I envision these now in queue lines and like they will clear the them out at a certain interval and then hose them down with Clorox lol. But I also think about food and showers with this classic clip from Seinfeld LOL
  17. Since Ohio didn't limit capacity at restaurants, look at shower curtains coming to a restaurant near you soon What about queue lines...oh the possibilities lol... https://www.beaconjournal.com/news/20200508/stark-county-restaurant-installs-shower-curtains-to-comply-with-state-coronavirus-orders
  18. There were several days last year that parks in the chain closed based on weather that never happened or certainly would have stayed open in prior years - several people posted that on the days it happened last year - both here and other social media platforms. It seemed like they were quick to close on weather days based on number of guests in park. I seem to recall at least one, but maybe a few, times that KI tweeted out something like a chance of light rain today is a great day to marathon rides...only to then close a few hours later! I think if the reservation system shows not enough to justify opening, they won't open...especially if all the reservations are pass holders.
  19. This article indicated Cedar Fair did a pass holder survey...did anyone here get that survey?
  20. Oh yea, forgot about that. I could be wrong, but wasn't Titanic the longest run poster on the theater wall? It is certainly the one I remember!
  21. I mean the Invertigo ride name of Face-Off is a great name for that style of coaster lol...but yeah nothing related to the movie at all! I think that was the original intent of the Paramount purchase, but then changing owners had different ideas and direction, but it really did have the potential to be something comparable to the Universal type park, at least as close as one could get with a seasonal type park.
  22. It's a sad commentary or statement to make, but what if as a shell of themselves the people still come out and rock the park to capacity...at some point the board members will say "see we can spend a fraction of the amount and provide a mediocre experience and they will still come out..." Oh wait many say that is the business model of what Haunt has become
  23. ^and Ohio restaurants will not be limited to capacity limits...if a restaurant wants to plexiglass every table and booth and operate at 100% capacity they can... No additional requirements for food service employees because they are already covered by current health code regulations so they said don't expect to see servers with gloves on...
