True that one the park lost power at 9:30am and Duke gave an estimated time and they knew it early enough to say something. A computer going down could have happened at 10:29am and they thought it would just be a few minutes and turned into an hour. But we don't know what was happening behind the scenes and some seem quick to blame that Don being gone is the reason why they were not communicated to lol. Contrary to popular belief he didn't run the park lol.

You all act like we heard Don's voice over the PA the whole time he was here lol. We have had temp glitches like this in the past that never made KI official social media pages. I doubt marketing/PR even has access to the PA system. It is probably a completely different department and maybe that department was too busy trying to get the system going. Or maybe the PA system is thru the computer system that was down so they couldn't access it for a live announcement. Kinda like how some businesses have their phones thru IP so if internet is down, so are the phones. My understanding is that associates were walking around conveying the message to folks. Not everything bad that happens is a result of Don not being here and the result would have been the same regardless...

I don't know if I would go that far LOL. There were waves of it at times locally that gave that impression, but nowhere near to the point that the entire park was immersed. You could go on any of the Towers and still see clear down to some spots.

And you are one of the better ones, but there are many scareactors that appear to be more into selfies than scares. Go sit say in Coney for 10-15 minutes and you will see the actors basically walking up to groups encouraging selfies. Scare first, selfie second LOL

So for the record, does taking selfies with guests count or not ?

When you have a chaperone policy to push parents into the park, alcohol moves up in the pecking order LOL. Good thing they left the VIP lounge open later to allow all the new Prestige holder chaperones a place to drink their alcohol in a relaxing setting...oh wait

But will show on the advisory list of attractions closed for weeks after it opens....

I mentioned this before in the thread, but many of our bridges are in worse shape than any amusement park ride in the USA! Could you ever see a roller coaster support ever approach close to this level?

No Snoopy and crew But looking at lack of change at KK since they took over, would KI have the same fate or would KI be big enough for a Dollywood or Silver Dollar City conversion?

I think Don mentioned once that his Racer count has held steady for awhile and he was comfortable with the number it was at. Maybe he will post the last time he rode it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was over a year ago.

In addition, they won't entertain it right now as the 2023 season still has Haunt and Winterfest, so they won't entertain a roll over until the 2023 season is over.

And keep in mind that this also means most rides have not been able to have their morning inspections and start-ups, so some rides could be hours before opening after power is restored depending on where it was in the start-up procedures.
