  1. Would it be ok if they slapped sponsor stickers on the rides but kept the ride names the same. Like K-Mart on Orion trains.
  2. But if turning the SIX parks comes at a cost of diverting money to said parks, KI doesn't win in that situation. We already saw CF do that with KI this year, now we have even more underperforming parks to worry about. Which pricing structure for passes and daily do they take on moving forward as that will be a key driver into the intent? Obviously no change to 2024. We may start to see it transition in 2025, but probably won't see a better picture moving forward 2026 when they try to fully incorporate/consolidate the season pass structure.
  3. And folks thought the new season pass structure was difficult to follow this year? Wait until SIX and CF try to figure out how to combine/simplify/etc. the pass process moving forward LOL.
  4. Since it won't be official and closed and all that good stuff until early 2024, it wouldn't surprise me if they wait until 2025, but then again who knows, they might want to get that spending going early. If they do allow folks that have a pass from either chain to visit the other in 2024, then that sucks for those that bought passes to both and folks that bought the more expensive CF pass. Caveat emptor
  5. They take the name six flags, each company is represented equally on the board of directors, CF unitholders don't get a vote on this, and CF is 51.2% owner - while it is a majority, it isn't a large one. With the board of directors being equal, all it takes is one CF director to align with SIX on a vote, discussion, etc.
  6. And certainly they knew this before season passes started to go on sale....Would this have changed peoples purchasing decision - waited/skipped, etc. Caveat emptor
  7. If they opened it back up as TTD, people will still have flocked to it. While it was a terrible accident, there has been deaths on rides that re-opened and people still got in line to ride it.
  8. I am shocked
  9. Speaking of heavily geared toward little kids, based on all the Haunt pictures on social media, it appears Haunt is geared towards little kids, so they might as well keep Planet Snoopy open LOL No, I haven't added them up so it is strictly my observation, but it appears the number of posts on social media of selfies with the scare actors and posts about how sweet there were to the little ones outnumbered the posts where people said they were scared LOL
  10. Yes it is and I really thought they would have used that when this was announced as it would be far left and not where all the foot traffic is going. But the "problem" would be that area is currently used as the smoking area for Haunt, but the smoking section is something they could relocate.
  11. If they sell 12,300 more gold passes than they did this year, they would have that money LOL
  12. Haven't you learned by now that it only gives you access to the facility and they can do whatever they want (cross threading)
  13. They had way more than they do now. A prior owner sold a lot of it off. A lot of the undeveloped land they still have left are steep ravines and protected stream corridors, so the actual acreage they have that they could develop on is even less.
  14. Sadly it has been like that most of the year. There is plenty they could do - staff the entrance to not allow non prestige in, better signage and fencing, and don't direct people from other lines over. Simply another broken benefit. Why even offer it at this point.
  15. I am sure many people will be interested in that episode!
  16. They would have known that before 2024 passes went on sale...
  17. Glad to hear you had a great time!
  18. At least Haunt isn't being trashed anymore
  19. You must be in the legal department for Cedar Fair with how much you defend them Just because it doesn't meet the legal definition of "bait and switch" and would be considered a frivolous lawsuit doesn't mean it is ethically and morally right to do. However, it could potentially fall under the definition of bait and switch regarding the bottled drinks being taken away and telling the passholders they should just go ahead and buy the drink plan, which then is considered an "upsell". However, just because legally they are meeting the letter of the law doesn't mean they are not employing some of the other psychological persuasion techniques companies do to persuade consumers. In psychology, "bait-and-switch" is a term that is often used to describe a persuasive technique in which an initial promise or offer is made, but the offer is later withdrawn or changed in some way even if it legally allowed per terms and conditions. Sounds like what happened to Prestige to me... They feel emotionally/psychologically that they already have the consumer and with the exception of a few like you that speak with their wallet, the rest will simply continuing opening their wallet every year and buy whatever the park offers the following year. I am sure that they eliminated the platinum pass in hopes that people would move to the prestige pass because of the psychological selling effect that someone that has had platinum for X number years doesn't want to drop to a mere gold pass LOL. But alas you will disagree, so this is simply one of the many times that folks here will have to agree to disagree with your take on the subject LOL.
  20. They would rather tick off the Prestige "we already have your money" passholder than tick off a daily admission by telling them they are in the wrong line and need to move down. At this point, what's one more thing to add to the "bait and switch" tactics that the Prestige Pass has become. They will just keep checking the items off the list until there is no benefit other than someone being able to say "I am a Prestige pass holder" and are willing to pay a premium simply for that. It will simply become a status symbol of wealth and sadly some would still purchase LOL
  21. It is up and running and that is all anyone cares about
  22. Prestige passholders have been complaining that the 2-hour preferred entry benefit wasn't being monitored and they simply would let anyone come thru that entrance and many times that was the slowest line to get into the park because it is so close to guest services that people went thru the Prestige line after coming out of guest services. I have heard from several people that complained that said supervisors told them they don't monitor/enforce that line because it isn't fair to have a long regular line and nobody in the Preferred line and that they would probably do away with that benefit. With that mindset, do they wave the regular line over into the Fast Lane line if nobody is in it LOL I am hearing that they didn't have the preferred lane set up for Preferred entry this weekend. Any early Prestige holders here to confirm that? If it was gone, was it intentional or an oversight?
  23. Says the guy that quit getting passes because they devalued the ERT perk by letting more passholders have access to ERT
  24. Come on a day with rain in the forecast...keeps the crowds away they say....line to AE lol
