  1. ^How much did you have to pay for them to put the KIC logo on the roof Cool shots - what kinda camera?
  2. It's these types of posts showing the inconsistent quality of these in-house offerings that shows why having chain restaurants in the park are still important to some people. Whether you like or not Skyline or LaRosa's or Subway or Chic-Fil-A, those that do like it at least know with a smaller dispersion of what to expect when ordering compared to the in-house offerings. I quit getting Chicken Shack for example because more times than not the chicken was unchewable. For guests not on the meal plan, forking out almost $20 for two deli thin pieces of meat or an unchewable piece of meat isn't worth it. At least at Skyline or Chic they knew what they were getting. Sure it may costs more than outside of the park, but they know what they are getting. I think @KIghostguynailed it perfectly when he said Grain & Grill is a perfect meal plan restaurant. Those with a meal plan will be less likely to get completely upset and complain to guest services over the meals mentioned above, whereas the once a year guest will make a beeline to Guest Services to complain about the quality and small portion for $20.
  3. I'm listening right now to a know it all telling people around us in line that Vortex was sinking and is why it was removed and he is adamant he is correct lol. He said a train flew off during preseason testing LOL.
  4. Well it does say Delirium and Drop Tower are on ERT for Coasterstock, so maybe?
  5. Just remember they say FL doesn't cause you to wait any longer in the regular line LOL
  6. The return of the couches and bigger cups in the same week. Whoa they better slow down LOL. They can't keep up this pace of returning items LOL. Are bottled drinks next or is that expecting too much LOL.
  7. And some credit cards will charge a fee for international purchases.
  8. Unfortunately that is par for the course it seems for Steel Vengeance.
  9. In the same general vicinity. And I was mistaken (slightly LOL). It is a football stadium on private property adjacent to the park that would be used for concerts and that raised the concerns of City Council of it competing against their existing venue in the vicinity.. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2023/01/27/thrown-upon-us-developers-face-criticism-over-blue-ash-stadium-design/69845880007/
  10. Wow it seems more parks have had fights on opening weekend than previous years....or they just happened to make the news. Either way, society is changing.
  11. Shhh....don't give them any ideas on taking away operating days LOL. Thread discussing the tourney here:
  12. Not saying this will happen, but Timberwolf could co-exist with a concert facility across the street. The Beach Waterpark was installed in 1985 and that didn't stop Kings Island from building Soak City in 1989 and they both co-existed for many years. The Beach hung on far longer than I thought it would when Soak City (well WaterWorks) was included with park admission and season passes. Depending on how the concert venue is setup (are they aligned with Ticketmaster for example), Timberwolf would still provide a venue for the "independent" acts that are not aligned with TicketMaster. So they could each draw different acts and demographics. I think the bigger concern could be the talked about concert venue in Blue Ash. If that goes thru, depending on the alignment with Ticketmaster or not could impact if the Tennis center builds a concert venue. Isn't it ironic that the namesake of the Tennis Center took Chiquita headquarters to Charlotte and now their namesake venue may have seen better days due to the tournament following in their footsteps and moving to Charlotte.
  13. That was a concern when this company bought it last year. Charlotte loves taking Greater Cincinnati things LOL. If Charlotte or some other City wants it bad enough, they will throw enough incentives that Mason/Warren County can't compete with.
  14. Come on now, how does that possibly beat the sucker socks/cover lol
  15. I wish they could have made the sky more blue
  16. huh??????? Is subway moving to KK and it will be on the meal plan LOL
  17. Yeah, I am sure there are leftover sweets that they can't sell that they could randomly stock in LOL. Those random 3 pieces of fudge, cupcakes, etc. Or thinking ahead if they get rid of Prestige or the demand isn't there and it goes away, I am sure they have something else in mind that could go in the Lounge spot. That is why it surprising to me that they didn't incorporate running water/waste into the place and put in a freestyle machine or regular soda fountain dispensing machine like down at Skyline. In addition to somewhat making up for the bottled beverages being removed (and I don't think anyone will agree cooler water is a suitable replacement), with water/waste there, it could easily and quickly be turned into an unique or specialty food place if Prestige ultimately fails. It would be a great setup for the chef plate or some variation thereof. I mean they are close enough to the restrooms that they could pipe it in later, but they had a great opportunity and a grass area to incorporate something a little more permanent and multi-use later if needed.
  18. ^Exactly! Almost anything can be done. But they already have your money....
  19. Well if it is a trouble executing what corporate wanted, then every park with Prestige is failing lol. None of them offer bottled drinks anymore and they did when Prestige was first offered. Carowinds used to have prepacked cookies and brownies and now just cooler water and chips. The International Restaurant could be used for a climate controlled location. It is rented out so infrequently (except for during WF), that the park could still provide it as VIP along with a list of published black out/not available days. Especially if they still had an outdoor one for the few days it isn't available. The big issue is, and why everyone is so vocal, is that take KI for example where they teased us all summer what the Lounge looked like as you come off of Adventure Express and you see the shaded seats with outdoor couches, fans, TVs, variety of snacks, and bottled beverages. So when they then offered the Prestige Pass, everyone remembers what benefits they saw with that, plus preferred parking for 2023, VIP Lounge in Soak City, one-time use FL, and bring 2 guests free and bought it. Then quickly, within days to a few weeks after people purchased it, bottled drinks got taken away. Now preferred parking says subject to availability. No outdoor couches in the new VIP. Soak City Lounge is now only being advertised as seating with no snacks or cooler water mentioned. Many called it the bait and switch. A wise former member here used to say "they have your money and things are subject to change". Many have sent in complaints to guest services. BeeastFarmer has spelled out a great way to bring back said benefits people were expecting so that it isn't abused. I am sure some will renew Prestige if they decide to offer it again, but everyone I know that has Prestige has been adamant that they are not renewing Prestige next year unless some pretty significant perks are added this year. The value just isn't there now for many people and their reason for initially purchasing the Prestige is gone.
  20. ^you don't consider a bag of chips worth three times the cost for the pass LOL. But yeah unless some really cool perks show up this year, I suspect most with Prestige will go back to gold or platinum next year.
  21. Yeah but they don't have infused water coolers
