  1. You don't regret not getting the Prestige pass
  2. Grand Carnivale will be Mike and Chad driving around on the Trolley throwing out beads The streamers are still in the trees, so pump the volume of the soundtrack and people will assume they missed the parade like all those that thought they missed the parade for Winterfest LOL.
  3. Plus a "Strong performance over the second half of the year, including record fourth quarter attendance, validates the strength and resiliency of the Company’s business model" means more bait and switch and cut stuff because we (the consumer) are proving that people will come regardless of the product being provided... All the griping about cuts to ride hours and entertainment and people still show up in record numbers justifies their cuts...at least short term...
  4. "Strong performance over the second half of the year, including record fourth quarter attendance, validates the strength and resiliency of the Company’s business model. Robust trends in long-lead indicators, including 2024 season pass sales, underscore the Company’s bright prospects for continued growth and value creation. For the year ended Dec. 31, 2023, net revenues totaled $1.80 billion on attendance of 26.7 million guests, compared with net revenues of $1.82 billion on attendance of 26.9 million guests in 2022. The decrease in net revenues reflects the impact of a 1%, or 247,000, decline in attendance and a 1%, or $0.60, decrease in in-park per capita spending, offset in part by a 5%, or $10 million, increase in out-of-park revenues. The decline in attendance was attributable to a year-over-year decrease in season pass sales and lower demand during the first half of the year due to inclement weather. 5. Meanwhile they cut the hourly wages of the people who are actually "running the park" pretty much chain-wide... KD was always hurting for staff, let's cut the wages to $13 and then complain about being understaffed...
  6. I am with you there LOL - I am like wow 50,000 seems like a lot in a year. Pulling those numbers it is easy to see why it will stay as long as it is making money!
  7. Re-read it - it says they did 50,000 riders for that season, not over 15 years. Even if all of those rides were the cheap $10/person, that is $500,000. Given many of the rides would have been more expensive, it probably pulls $750,000 or so, maybe even closer to $1M with all the busy $25/$30 rides per person days I have seen on the weekends when that queue is full. If it wasn't profitable they would drop it quick as I am sure none of the revenue coming in from other sources goes towards this attraction and it is probably self sustaining. The moment they would have to divert money to that it is gone.
  8. I just hope if the weather doesn't cooperate and is a total bust, that people still feel they got their value. Or worse if they cancelled the event, would they refund? That could set the tone for their entire season...
  9. I hope they don't cancel it if it is thunder storming or an overly cloudy day....
  10. As a passholder you already get 10%, or Prestige 15%, and I highly doubt this is on top of the pass discount, so basically a useless perk....
  11. Could you imagine if WB/Paramount merge and then purchase CF/SIX after merger...
  12. Keep in mind the IP the SIX has is very limited in nature and not their entire portfolio. Another issue is the always seem to be rumor that Paramount is looking to get back into the park business. Who knows maybe a merger between WB/Paramount and they decide to make a run again and do not renew their IP with SIX when it expires.
  13. Don't give them any ideas LOL
  14. ^and as I have said before, with the board being an equal split and the head of integration being a SIX employee, it could very well lean towards SIX operations as time goes on.
  15. The unitholders not getting a vote isn't new news - it was mentioned when the merger was announced, including being referenced in the 5th post in this thread by @DispatchMaster the day the news broke. But everyone's attention was diverted to the actual announcement and the most vocal probably didn't own units anyway so it wasn't a topic of discussion. But CF is the majority owner everyone says....
  16. You must go on light days LOL. I have seen Maverick FL exceed 45 minutes.
  17. Another question is will they go to the scan your pass for access to the line option like they tried in the past and Carowinds tested at the end of last year, or will they stick with the wristbands and then need 3 instead of 2 - FL, FL+, and ASFL+
  18. I agree. Time of year makes a difference. In April some grass and foliage is starting to re-emerge and change color, etc. compared to early February. That growth and color differences make a difference in what one sees. Dormant grass can give a more bare appearance and I think that is what is being seen here.
  19. While true, we also have many passholders that have said they will continue to buy a pass regardless of the product being provided because the value is still too great. How many subscribe to that mindset? And as long as the number of "new" passes sold every year equal or outperform those that do not "renew" each year, they really have no incentive to cater to the existing passholder...until of course they have devalued the product to the point that even the "no matter what I am renewing" crowd decide to walk away and CF feels that loss. But then all they have to do is offer a freebie like a pullover or Front of the Line each visit or even an exclusive ink pin freebie, and the folks return to renew in mass quantities....the psychological aspect of a freebie is a tool in the CF toolbox.... And folks will come regardless of what the freebie is because who wants to turn down a freebie, even it you don't need it LOL...
  20. Maybe MEMI will want to expand and buy another park for music festivals (cross-threading LOL).
  21. Oh boy that is gonna tick off the Save Coney crowd.... But for those that will jump on it without reading the article, by leaders, they do not mean elected officials. They mean leaders in the business community like the CEOs of Western&Southern, FC Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Regional Chamber of Commerce that are part of a Task Force looking at ways to encourage and support economic development in the region. Basically they think this will create more money for the area than a pool does.
  22. That doesn't sound like your typical response Who hacked your account? I was expecting you to reply with something like if you can't measure the return on the investment on all the ambassadors walking around, it is an easy cut to help the bottom line, especially in a season pass heavy park...
  23. Welcome back - were you on a cruise with no internet or something? Been awhile since you posted.
