And make it all day LOL. There is no way all the teens I saw being dropped off prior to 4pm either left by 4pm or their parents came into the park by 4pm...
-
Maybe that isn't the fence he jumped over....
-
Wasn't the Viking Fury entrance on the other side once upon a time, or was that the exit? Or both? It has been too long LOL.
-
The area by the smoking and picnic area has an 8 foot black chain link fence and in many parts a secondary chain link fence and other obstructions. It would have been easier to slide a bag thru the slit fence area now blocked off than the chain link fence area. But regardless, the temporary fencing is to provide another layer of preventing people from bypassing security.
-
The temp fence isn't circular in nature and it simply starts there and then flares out to the security checkpoint to prevent people from accessing the black fence between the two security entrances. So if you wanted to go from one security checkpoint to the other due to one being slow you know cannot walk along the black fence between them but rather go around the temp fencing now. Or maybe we are talking about two different fences but I don't recall another temp fence in front of park that isn't set up to prevent access to any area of the black security fence except for the temp fencing further down in the parking lot. I don't recall one around the actual flagpole, but if there is, it is probably because someone tried to climb it LOL. The area in red is the limits of the temp fence.

Read this article and look at what area the fence is now blocking (more than the grass area) and you can assume why fence is where it is. https://news.yahoo.com/17-old-arrested-bring-automatic-155320850.html You can also find the social media post of lady that reported this to security (if still available) to fill in the pieces if the article doesn't paint a clear enough picture...

It would have prevented the first part of the incident that led to the 2nd part...

Um our Bat is 7 car trains and theirs is 6...

Fences go up when people do stupid stuff. If the fence I think you are referring to (where the Winterfest Christmas Tree goes, it is to prevent what happened a few weeks ago...

I was not given a choice when I was provided 1 chicken leg at Grain & Grill. Either inconsistent training or rationing to get thru the rest of the day LOL. Not to muddy up the menu, but maybe they should specify how many you get to help with consistency. I had no idea folks were getting 2 pieces of chicken until long after I was home and started seeing posts about it.

Banshee is wore out from carrying the load of The Bat and Drop Tower

So far they haven't.

And yet we expect a chaperone policy to keep same kids in line LOL.... Whatever happened to following rules and not touching what isn't yours LOL. Same with the stage by the fountain, or Festhaus, or just about any stage KI puts up. Despite the signs, parents are having their kids go up there every day for a picture.
-
I feel like Charlie Brown LOL. I am seeing all these pics where people got two pieces of chicken. I only got one and my potatoes didn't have the sauce you had either.

And The Cincinnati Enquirer wonders why subscriptions are down....how about having the correct ride with the article....and I guess Apple made the ride since the title says iPipeline Paradise LOL Not to be outdone though, most of the other local stations are not using the actual attraction either.... Or is click-bait truly the prevalent marketing strategy for media companies...

For those that don't know...."Grain & Grill is located in Adventure Port" (nobody checks accuracy of articles anymore for any topic LOL) https://www.fox19.com/2023/04/27/kings-islands-newest-restaurant-set-open-this-weekend/

Didn't know this LOL: "Grain & Grill is located in Adventure Port" https://www.fox19.com/2023/04/27/kings-islands-newest-restaurant-set-open-this-weekend/

That is too logical and makes too much sense LOL, but perhaps dozens of emails to guest relations suggesting that will offer a return to the prized bottled beverages....
-
The bottled drinks were removed from the lounge last year a mere WEEKS after people bought said pass due to the abusers. Similar to the chaperone policy, the park penalized those that paid 3 times as much for this pass instead of penalizing the abusers or developing a solution to prevent the abuse while still providing said benefits that were being provided when people purchased Prestige and based their purchasing decision on said benefits...

By "such" do you mean bottled drinks

And stay off my lawn But yeah you make a good point of where society is as it relates to shooting things...

Threads like this reminds me of a quote that a Vice President of Cedar Fair has said and I have used it on the forum frequently as to why something may or may not be said from CF: "It is important to remember that Cedar Fair is a publicly traded company and that affects the type and timing of our communication." That simple statement says it all. There are countless of real world, everyday examples demonstrating this same technique in other businesses and industries. At the end of the day, they are not under any obligation to tell us exactly why and will spin the information to fit their narrative. Maybe an inspection of Vortex after daily operation ended turned up showing some series issues that would need to be addressed in the off-season that were going to cost a lot. So Mike rode it and determined that the costs to keep it running wasn't worth it from a rider experience..... In that quote above, Mike was under zero obligation to say anything more than he did, but read between the lines..."hop on it before a final decision was made" implies there was information in hand that needed to be evaluated... Have any of you, or maybe your parents, took a car in for scheduled maintenance like a simple oil change and tire rotation, and the service tech says they found a crack in the engine block or some other big expense, so you have to decide whether to spend a lot of money to fix something on an old car that could then have something bigger break next year or get rid of it before you planned to and get a new car....same idea, just on a much larger scale LOL...

What no love for Flight of Fear? Good thing junkyard is your favorite coaster

Unfortunately not all removals are "planned" and off-season inspections, testing, or even routine inspections during the season, etc. finds an issue that accelerates when a ride is removed - sometimes years sooner than when a park thought the ride would be operational. That leaves a void in planning as said ride was expected to still be operational during said planning period, so the site sits vacant for longer than anyone would like...
