  1. Each park operates re-entry differently. But KI currently is can re-scan.
  2. On most days, the $199 will be the better option - park admission and Fast Lane Plus Included. The $449 you need to pay to get in or have a pass, and only get 6 hours of "Fast Lane" (ie personal tour guide).
  3. I hate to see any ride removed without a replacement because that means more people in other lines, even if the ride removed is a lower capacity ride. Even if it wasn't a ride I cared for, it means the displaced riders go somewhere else, like your favorite ride. Now granted this one is really low capacity and probably cannot be measured, but the idea is the same.
  4. Just shows that slapping a new coat of paint on it doesn't mean it will be around for years to come...
  5. One would think this temporary fence/barricade would stop people or make the realize the ride is down, but nope about 4 groups per hour would walk around them or jump them to start down the queue. I have some pics of that in action, but decided not to post in case they are members here LOL.
  6. They can't go to Disney, but the article seems to say most states have similar laws. https://www.bernsteinandmaryanoff.com/blog/sex-offenders-go-to-amusement-parks/
  7. They were testing WindSeeker for the better part of today, even when it would have been shut down normally. I couldn't get a picture as I was on The Beast brake run when the storm rolled through around 7:30 or so, but the wind gust had to be higher than WindSeeker runs under and it was near the top and the one side the wind had pushed the seats back down to about where they start and the other side was pushed WAY out. Maybe another 35 degrees or more. It clearly did not look like a circular patter spinning.
  8. They have finally reconfigured Racer queue to use the whole queue instead of half.
  9. One would think that if that were the case, they would have been shut down certainly for 2020 and 2021 given the accident happened in 2019. Maybe it is additional safety features, but since none were shut down as a result of that accident lends me to think that CF believes it to be operator error. I still think it is a scheduled maintenance type related activity. Maybe we will hear, but given CF past history, I doubt an explanation will ever officially be provided.
  10. While I agree that those using it as a daycare are probably not the trouble makers making the news, I have seen it used as a daycare more days than not. I have seen plenty of elementary age kids there by themselves. As one example, I saw a brother and sister one visit a couple years ago that had to be like 5th and 3rd graders. They were in line getting food in front of me using their meal plan and the older one asked me what time it was and proceeded to tell me that their mom dropped them off at 9:30 and were being picked up at 7pm. I saw them several times throughout the day and they were very well behaved. Heck just last weekend I was there with friends with elementary age kids and we are in line for a ride and a single rider kid starts talking to one of the kids. I just assumed their parents didn't want to ride. After we get off the ride, she says "what are we riding next" and basically followed our group the rest of the night and hanging out with the other kids in our group that were about the same age. She was a fourth grader. Her mom dropped her off and was picking her up at close. And I know that was the case because when we left at close, she was still following us out to the parking lot and got into a car next to the flagpole. She was very mature for her age and very polite, but probably too young to be at the park by herself? Or just look at the drop off lot at park close - the line to get in is longer than in the morning trying to get thru the toll booths.
  11. Have you seen how many security and Mason and Warren county police are outside the entrance and in the lot at park close and yet it still happened, so of course they were on it fast. Folks don't care and figure nothing of significance will happen as a result of it. They were literally leaning on the police cars basically taunting them.... Let's see if these charges get dropped...
  12. No, it still goes down several times a day LOL. Usually not for long.
  13. But it is world famous. Says so right on the menu....
  14. Of course there is always a bad apple that doesn't care - look how many laws are broken daily! Despite how stringent rules or laws or regulations are, there will always be that person that doesn't care. But as long as there is ZERO consequences, whether it be line jumping, smoking, fighting, it will continue to get worse. Publicly announced consequences will be a deterrent to all but the worse offenders. Who knows how many more instances KK would have had without public shaming.... And as you point out, that article was in 2017 - so based on your analysis, it took 3 years for a serious enough incident to happen to make the news.... and most of us would file that under the results of the COVID shutdown and most of the population forgetting how to interact in public.
  15. ^+1 above!!! People can say all they want about Kentucky Kingdom, but when they put out a statement like this and gets media attention, it stops...Will we ever see CF post a pic of a banned person and say don't be like him LOL... https://www.wave3.com/story/35658459/kentucky-kingdom-shares-photo-of-now-banned-coaster-rider-with-his-phone/ And they also need to improve their accountability. A ban is useless if they allow anyone to purchase a pass and use a fake name... https://www.wlwt.com/article/fake-name-on-gold-pass-leads-to-charges-being-dropped-in-kings-island-brawl/36623191#
  16. This needs to stop and not become an annual tradition! https://www.wlwt.com/article/female-juvenile-arrested-after-large-fight-breaks-out-at-kings-island/39938208
  17. It appeared cables were being replaced, so maybe 10-ish years is the replacement cycle for them. And it has a lot of cables LOL, so it takes more time than Drop Tower cable replacements LOL.
  18. Just made a park announcement that they will close @ 8pm tonight due to weather.
  19. 3 trains were running over the weekend.
  20. All the tall rides are currently down due to wind. Banshee is tallest ruide currently running. Edit: taller coasters reopening.
  21. "i before e, except after c" is how LOL
  22. One would think if they actually touched that they would not be testing 3 trains this week. I would assume at a minimum they would have B&M look at it.
