  1. Why not? Trains are expensive, and there isn’t anything wrong with the ones they currently have?
  2. CP is going to return the favor by taking all of Pantheon’s here soon.
  3. Dragsters trains back at CP, gated off next to Bluestreak. photo cred: CP uncensored FB group.
  4. It looks like the same track and supports Pantheon (Intanim) uses. Also I’ve seen a photo but cannot find it, but one of the CP FB pages has a photo of the old dragster trains arriving back on site they’re sitting next to Blue Streak. I’m leaning towards Intamin being the sole manufacture of the project. I just hope they can produce a quality, safe ride with less downtime. Hopefully they can get back in the good graces with CF. 5. So Tony from CP killed the rumor of Zamperla being apart of the project. Maybe Intamin is in on the project. Only makes sense considering the worlds fastest multi launch coaster with a spike is an Intamin. (Pantheon at BGW) Info credit: Pointbuzz
  6. Do as I say, not as I do.
  7. It was sarcasm. I’m not entirely happy with the quality of food either. I’m just pointing out what people do in hopes the park can figure out a way to fix the issues.
  8. Sounds like you picked the wrong register. Here’s a food hack that I’ve seen that sometimes works. Order food prior to being able to use your meal plan. Pick a register with a worker who doesn’t look like they’re confrontational or seems like they don’t care. They’ll let you by without actually paying for the food and since it’s before the 4 hours they cannot select your meal plan to be used. Therefor when the 4 hour timer hits your meal plan will be ready to use and now you will have gotten 3 meals instead of just 2 in a single day. Or you can do what I’ve seen done most often and seems to be the most effective thing to do by not stopping at the register at all, just walk right by. Which you’ve proven works by walking away with the choccy milk.
  9. I wouldn’t say that new trains from Premier would be much of an upgrade. It’s the same restraint system for the most part except they added over the shoulder straps as well. The carts are just as cramped as well, at least from my experience on Tigris and Tempesto. I think FoF is at age were it would need just entirely rebuilt like the what Universal did with the Incredible Hulk coaster. If possible I would probably invite an entirely different manufacturer to do it tho. Theming wise I think it would be cool if they added stars in planets inside were the bulk of the coaster is. Also add more theming to the interior of the alien space ship itself. Kings Dominion’s FoF is an odd ball tho being in the Jungle X perdition area technically while also sitting next to a racing themed Giga coaster. They could theme it as an emergency landed space craft in the jungle or remove everything aliens and theme it to an indoor test track facility. 10. Don’t post this kinda stuff. It gives them ideas.
  11. Im willing to bet B&M recommends daily track and support inspections. How it is executed is entirely up to the owner. Much like owning a car the manufacturer recommends when and what oil to get during changes but ultimately it is up to the owner to decide.
  12. I would’ve preferred a cloned Fury 325, compared to the “giga” we received.
  13. I do like the open style seating vs the dog crates. However the traditional enterprises are much more forceful, and they don’t have the goose being ran over by a car noise either.
  14. They should’ve cloned Fury 325 and themed it Orion.
  15. I don’t mind cloned things so much as far as flat rides go. When it comes to coasters it’s more situational for me. I would say no for the majority of coasters but if it’s something small they should at the very least be themed and called something entirely different.
  16. The Orion queue hits you with these bangers. Gets you all worked up for what you would think be a world class ride. Then you actually ride the ride. In true Kings Island fashion with Mystic Timbers and Adventure Express how anti climatic.
  17. Camp Snoopy is receiving some attention at Knott’s. I’m thinking with all the flat ride additions CF rolled out to a lot of the parks this season. Maybe next season they do something similar chain wide for the Peanuts areas. https://screamscape.com/html/knott-s_berry_farm.htm#CampSnoopy
  18. You don’t actually have to get a new card when you upgrade or downgrade. All they info on your account is linked to the QR code that is on the card. Last year my friend upgraded his gold pass to platinum online, he never did change his card out till this season. What he did get was a lot of interesting looks at the gate when we visited CP last season tho.
  19. I’ve been seeing a lot of people stealing food from the food stands lately. Seen this multiple times at Rivertown Larosa’s and most recently today at Island Smokehouse. Maybe I’m missing something or this must be a new food hack. I.E. Don’t actually pay for your food, just walk pass the register with an employee who doesn’t look like they will confront you about not paying.
  20. I’m starting to think CF needs to pull a Disney and have Ouimet back at the helm again.
  21. Let’s change the name from platinum pass to passport and hopefully capitalize on the boom with Americans traveling abroad. Maybe people will now actually visit our other parks, or something like that…
  22. I can definitely see the park cutting fireworks other than on weekends and holidays and sticking with a drone show. From what I’ve heard from most people that’s all they talk about during the night shows.
  23. Probably just came down to who was willing to work on TTD. I’ve heard Copperhead Strike was underwhelming, after riding it I agree with that statement. Orion is underwhelming yet Canada’s Wonderland is heavily flirting B&M launched wing coaster for its next addition. So who knows what the chain is thinking. All we really know is that it won’t be Intamin.
  24. I’m not begging for any one type of coaster or ride manufacturer. I just hope the park builds the best coaster coaster for the money with the budget that they have. Budget coasters underwhelm.
  25. Out of respect for Don. How about we keep this thread on topic about remembering positive stories about him and not about Chad.
