So many possible projects, where does the park even start?
Tr0y replied to Taylor.B03's topic in Coming Attractions

The logic is based off the fine print they can change things at a whim. So yes, although they stated there won’t be “additional benefits”. What’s stopping them from changing the terms in a negative way? There is no reason to purchase add-on’s early on, because there is no incentive to. Unlike Gold Passes which the price goes up as the beginning of the new season nears. Also Add ons do not work until January 1st, unlike purchasing next year’s Gold Pass which also grants you access to the “current” season. I’m not saying don’t buy anything, it’s more or less timing.

It would be awesome if the 2ft steam engine that was replaced by an electric train was moved to Carowinds. -
Carowinds Teases An Announcement on 8/7/24

It could be a rollercoaster, a rapids splash battle, a relocated train ride, a meet and greet area, and a new splash pad. -
Yet they provide lids for take home Skyline and Panda Express? It makes zero sense.
-
From what I was told, only “paying customers” get a lid to go with their ICEE: I guess all season drink plan plus folks are not “paying customers”???
-
You could also buy / renew your pass with all the add ons and make payments with the **interest-free** payment plan. That way if they change the terms of service in an unfavorable way. You can always stop making payments. Caveat Venditor.
-
So your best bet is to purchase / renew a gold pass while the sale is going on then hold off on adding any add ons since the price of those do not change, and terms and conditions may change between when the 2025 season pass goes on sale and when the park opens for the 2025 season.
-
It’s things like this that doesn’t put one at ease with having any add ons for the 2025 season. Today it’s this but tomorrow it’s something else. I would stress to anyone to exercise caution for the 2025-2026 season as the newly merged company figures itself out. There will likely be changes, and certainly no refunds.

Welcome to KIC!! Yes, I usually wait for the 4x fuel points deal that Kroger puts on to buy gift cards for places I shop and eat at. It’s a great way to save money!!

Original Cedar Point Boardwalk Plans
Tr0y replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Well at least we know now KI’s Camp Snoopy wasn’t the only one that had its original plans gutted. This looks like it would’ve shaped up nicely for CP. -

I agree on the inconsistency part. From what I gather visiting other parks within the chain it’s not only a KI issue, but a Chain-wide issue. I’ll have to give the beer cheese a try sometime.

And neither do I, however I think we both have a lot of interest relating to Kings Island and our community here at KIC. What is telling is that no admin representatives here was present for media day at Camp Snoopy, my guess they weren’t even invited. Yet admin at the KI Passholder FB group did get invited to media day. Which speaking of FB groups this “whistleblower” stated they did not post this allegation on any of those pages. Which in reality is because none those pages would not accept such an allegation not presented with solid facts. Heck there wasnt even a media story. It’s frustrating that we didnt have any respresentation at Camp Snoopy’s media day. I would argue that some of the most passionate people about Kings Island are members here on KIC. Then you see post like this which go against our TOS, that nobody else picked up this story and ran with it being that it’s highly questionable. It’s not a good look on our community here at KIC, especially if were going to have any relationship with the park. As far as who I think it is. I wont name drop but you’ll have to take a look back in history, as you know what they say about history. It tends to repeat itself. Which strangely enough, this is going on around the same time period:

I asked for a lid, and was told “those cups don’t get a lid.” My previous visit, a lid was provided upon request.

Why Holidays In the Sky Is A Can’t-Miss Show!
Tr0y replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Woah, I would have never guessed Holiday World offered exclusive add ons such as guided tours. It would be nice if SIX would do the same. -
Sure, but they also had the paper ICEE cups available and yet proceeded to give me the Coca-Cola cup. The Season Pass Drink Plan Plus Add-on advertises an ICEE cup with the upgrade:
-
When it comes to ICEE, at Carowinds you get the proper cup and lid. Kings Island well, the straw is correct..

Chef’s plate today: Sugar Cured Pork Chops, Sweet Potato Mochi Balls, Thai Pickled Cucumbers with Crispy Fried Wontons. It’s great to see Chef Perez putting his culinary skills on display. The pork was incredibly tender, I ended up cleaning my plate.

Wrong. It’s where they store the green Intamin track. Trust me, I know what I know.
