Back to talking about Orion, good points brought up by both Ryan and Don on todays episode of Tower Topics: I hate to say it, but I get similar vibes the park is going down the same path with next year’s addition, RiverRacers.

Remember when the Orion reviews thread, talked about Orion?

While I don’t believe Banshee’s closure is social media post worthy. They should at a minimum, update their attractions advisory page, out of courtesy of guest who travel from afar. On that note, should we start a thread for how much longer for the Eiffel Tower? It seems that it is closed every time I check the attraction advisory page: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/attractions-advisory

Maybe they go the way of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Have a once a day show that starts an hour before park close, once the show ends and be forced to exit the theater via a service road that leads you out of the park. That way by the time you make it back to the park entrance the park will be closed, no re-entry.

Timberwolf stage back removed and dumpsters on scene. Something mysterious is going on near Outpost 5.

I think the main issue is that season passes are too cheap. I mean what can really be expected for $130 for an entire year of fun? Heck, for $130 that might get you at ticket for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

That’s a bold statement cotton.

My favorite part of this giga is the 287ft lift hill. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0uyR3YfztEZbRD8b6mEeHT5GZq1Z8b99J6cAZkdR3Z4rypvL7MnTsc4H5yisAv8HNl&id=100064730913995

Private companies > Publicly-traded companies. Is more accurate. -
They no longer allow the lanterns to be on inside of the mazes, the signage was updated to reflect that:

All these complaints about KI has Mike on a bender.

Kings Island is definitely more polished and in my opinion has better interactions. Cedar Point was more difficult to find the interactive locations, even with a map, and that was said by multiple guest. For example try finding the interactive location and then imagine it being dark, and foggy. CP: KI:

Maybe @DispatchMaster can comment on the matter.

From what I’ve noticed, there is a growing contention of “silence is key” tactic amongst companies in regards to social media when it comes to negative events. In a sense, companies are not wanting to not draw attention to it or maybe they’re hoping you either don’t hear about it or forget. Ive notice this with Disney and more recently with Boars Head when they had their recent listeria outbreak any questions was answered with an automated response and a link to their recall page, no mention of the outbreak. Luckily I didn’t get sick, however some folks weren’t as fortunate. 10 people died. https://x.com/RichKleinCrisis/status/1816866987886235789

I wonder if KI can just Frankenstein a second Banshee train using the undamaged carts till the repairs are made for the time being. Haunt being a busy time of year it would be vital to regain some of the ride’s capacity, IMO.
-
Last night, Barney Fife had control of the brakes on Banshee. Two trains ended up colliding and Banshee finished the day operating with 1 train. No injuries reported. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1o7Y9FNpZ1XcsjP2/?

I just seen this job posting on Six Flags website. It talks about having a regional manager for a group of parks: https://jobs.cedarfair.com/job/charlotte/regional-manager-social-media-and-digital-content-midwest-region/42509/69749220096 It appears that everyone working in the PR / Marketing department at their respective park will have to reapply for a job? What will this mean for Coasterstock?

Magic Kingdom & Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 09/15/24

Yeah the Fantasmic Dinner Package is totally worth it. This last time around my GF and I did the Fantasmic Dinner package at the Sci-Fi Drive-in Theater Restaurant. Did you dress up for the Halloween party? -

You’re missing the point, CP and its world class, record breaking coasters, is what draws people to those hotels. Sure, dynamic pricing might change when and where someone stays during there visit. But the fact remains that CP is the draw in Sandusky. Hotel Breakers, Express Hotel, Lighthouse Point, and Castaway bay are closed when CP isn’t open. By your account these places should be able to remain open with dynamic pricing.
