  1. Yeah, outside of KI’s weak steel coaster lineup. KI in my opinion, has been the better park this season. The customer service was sub par at CP. Heck, my room at the Express hotel was dirty and the furniture looked as if a dog got ahold of it. Totally not worth the premium they charge.
  2. I'm sure Holiday World (Koch) is concerned about a 530ft water coaster going into Soak City next season. Especially after Good Gravy outperformed KI's SSBR in the golden ticket awards. Dollywood (Herschend) is still sitting at the top of best kids' area; KI however went down in the Golden Ticket Awards even after investing over 7millon into its kids' area. To Mike's Credit, the coasters people want are being installed at the park. However, there is a disconnect with what people want and the expectation with it versus what the park is putting out.
  3. Diet Coke version of whatever the majority of people put down in the surveys emailed out.
  4. Wasn’t Jim invited to media day for SSBR?
  5. Markers found so far in Coney Mall or adjacent area (marked by red dot):
  6. Back to talking about Orion, good points brought up by both Ryan and Don on todays episode of Tower Topics: I hate to say it, but I get similar vibes the park is going down the same path with next year’s addition, RiverRacers.
  7. Remember when the Orion reviews thread, talked about Orion?
  8. While I don’t believe Banshee’s closure is social media post worthy. They should at a minimum, update their attractions advisory page, out of courtesy of guest who travel from afar. On that note, should we start a thread for how much longer for the Eiffel Tower? It seems that it is closed every time I check the attraction advisory page: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/attractions-advisory
  9. Maybe they go the way of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Have a once a day show that starts an hour before park close, once the show ends and be forced to exit the theater via a service road that leads you out of the park. That way by the time you make it back to the park entrance the park will be closed, no re-entry.
  10. Timberwolf stage back removed and dumpsters on scene. Something mysterious is going on near Outpost 5.
  11. I think the main issue is that season passes are too cheap. I mean what can really be expected for $130 for an entire year of fun? Heck, for $130 that might get you at ticket for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
  12. That’s a bold statement cotton.
  13. My favorite part of this giga is the 287ft lift hill. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0uyR3YfztEZbRD8b6mEeHT5GZq1Z8b99J6cAZkdR3Z4rypvL7MnTsc4H5yisAv8HNl&id=100064730913995
  14. Private companies > Publicly-traded companies. Is more accurate.
  15. They no longer allow the lanterns to be on inside of the mazes, the signage was updated to reflect that:
  16. All these complaints about KI has Mike on a bender.
  17. Kings Island is definitely more polished and in my opinion has better interactions. Cedar Point was more difficult to find the interactive locations, even with a map, and that was said by multiple guest. For example try finding the interactive location and then imagine it being dark, and foggy. CP: KI:
  18. The interactive lanterns purchased at KI do in fact, work at Cedar Point: IMG_4372.mov
  19. Maybe @DispatchMaster can comment on the matter.
  20. From what I’ve noticed, there is a growing contention of “silence is key” tactic amongst companies in regards to social media when it comes to negative events. In a sense, companies are not wanting to not draw attention to it or maybe they’re hoping you either don’t hear about it or forget. Ive notice this with Disney and more recently with Boars Head when they had their recent listeria outbreak any questions was answered with an automated response and a link to their recall page, no mention of the outbreak. Luckily I didn’t get sick, however some folks weren’t as fortunate. 10 people died. https://x.com/RichKleinCrisis/status/1816866987886235789
  21. I wonder if KI can just Frankenstein a second Banshee train using the undamaged carts till the repairs are made for the time being. Haunt being a busy time of year it would be vital to regain some of the ride’s capacity, IMO.
  22. Last night, Barney Fife had control of the brakes on Banshee. Two trains ended up colliding and Banshee finished the day operating with 1 train. No injuries reported. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1o7Y9FNpZ1XcsjP2/?
  23. I just seen this job posting on Six Flags website. It talks about having a regional manager for a group of parks: https://jobs.cedarfair.com/job/charlotte/regional-manager-social-media-and-digital-content-midwest-region/42509/69749220096 It appears that everyone working in the PR / Marketing department at their respective park will have to reapply for a job? What will this mean for Coasterstock?
  24. I think the crypt building is prime real-estate for a Diet Coke factory.
