I want a giga, but would love a Maverick-style coaster as well.

I agree about a giga likely not, and not needing to, interact with the front gate. There is a lot of stuff that's kind of in the way of it. It would be possible but would taek a lot of work and not really needed. The entrance could be spruced up but the overall design is good as is and wouldn't want it to change too much. Think something over behind Banshee would be the best spot for it. Think Rivertown would be a poor location as it would be right next to Diamond back and just have the skyline really dominated by that one section versus spreading out the sightlines. And would rather leave space in Rivertown open for a good wooden coaster, or at least and RMC-style hybrid. Would love to see a dark ride or new flat added to teh Crypt building though as well. Think it's just aching for something themed to a mine with the setup it has and being right in the middle of an old western village.

Would be cool if they would open up some of the indoor haunts they leave set up for special event nights through the year, like Friday the 13. Give us a chance to experience some of them and make the wait for Haunt season a little easier. Imagine something that would just have a handful of them set up like Blackout, Madame Fatale's, Urgent Scare, Kill Mart, and Carnevil. And with them being indoor haunts the sun going down late wouldn't affect them.

I would be upset if the WDW was changed just since it is such a unique attraction and fits into the theme of that area of the park so well. But I suppose if they redid that entire section of the park and did a fantastic overlay it wouldn't be as bad, but feels unneeded. However having ridden the one at DCA I don't feel it would be that huge of a loss really. I enjoyed the ride and it was fun but it's really just a standard Drop Tower experience and it is at the very end of the street so could easily be annexed into a new Marvel land. And as has been suggested for a theme it wouldn't even need to change much, just be similar story to Tokyo Disney Sea with the Collector's place/collection versus Lord Henry Mystic's.

YEa I hope they don't change it to remove the parts that are felt to be a bit scary. I can see the "attack" scene being pretty scary to younger kids but that is the best part of the attraction, that and the bugs exiting the auditorium love the reactions to first time visitors of it. If they removed that portion the attraction would feel greatly diminished to me. I think it is probably fairly safe though. It is just a small segment fo the overall attraction, whereas with the 3 on this list the entire attraction was fairly intense or scary for kids, and even some adults.

They already do! Oh and if you didn't catch the line in the article....."Not to mention, there is now this very nice open green space located across from Reds Hall of Fame Grill...we wonder what could go there?" https://www.visitkingsisland.com/article/media-center/A-peek-inside-the-2016-season-at-Kings-Island/?mobile=0 I doubt that this family center will be going there as the same article with that quote also states that the family center will be located "along International Street. Located adjacent to The Great Pumpkin Coaster". So this means that it will defintley not be located across from RHoFG. It defintely sounds like ti will just be taking place fo teh current family center building. I was just posting the picture for those who haven't seen the new family center. Sorry, I understand. The way you posted it thought you were implying that the family center might be going in that spot.

Most of the stuff I've been seeing for this rumor/concept has been saying that it is for just DCA and Disney Studios in Paris. While I'm sure they have contemplated it for WDW as well I just don't see them changing one of their most iconic attractions, especially with all of the other changes coming to the park already. While I don't like the idea of changing the others either, they aren't as well loved and are pretty weak rides in comparison to the WDW version. They are truly just a fancy Drop Tower, whereas the one in Florida is an outstanding and unique ride.

I mean I wouldn't see the rehab type thing happening for many years, likely after most if not all of their current Orcas are gone. At that point lots of time will have passed and if it is strictly for rehabilitation purposes with the intention to rerelease them as soon as possible I don't see how that would be viewed any differently than when zoos take in animals for rehab purposes.
-
Exactly, They still need more space for them really. Plus one of them is currently pregnant, and an orca can live for nearly 30 years. So there is still potentially decades before they will be without them. Plus there is always the chance that the new tanks could be used for rehabilitation for wild Orcas that are injured to heal and regain strength for release back into the wild. So while they might not breed them anymore they could still have them on display for educational and zoological/rehabilitation purpose for many years to come

Skull Island: Reign of Kong

Yea I'm sure they'll start off with a lot of Mario stuff as that is the most well known and popular. But I would really love to see an immersive Metroid themed dark ride. Will be curious to see how they incorporate everything together in a Nintendo land though as many of the properties are quite different. Can't really picture Mario next to Metroid in the same land and having it be coherent. -

If your going in late September/ October make sure to attend Halloween Horror Nights. It's quite simply the best. I really want to go down there for that sometime. Was actually originally planning to this year, but a friend that lives down tehre is getting married Labor Day weekend so wrapping the vacation into the trip down there as well so stuck with teh start of the month and will miss it by a couple weeks. I'm the same way thegajone. Have all these anticipated rides that i'mr eally curious to see what they are like and end up watching tons of pov videos once they opne so loose the elemnt of surprise when i finally get to ride them. Hard to resist when you know it will be a couple years before you might get a chance to ride them though. -

Have always meant to go to it and just never got around. Making a trip down to Universal this fall so might try to set up reservations there this time. -

Not saying it isn't a HQ product and I loved the area. Went down last winter for the sole reason to see it. But while it is well themed and probably the biggest competition Disney has had for theming and design Universal has ever done, really both Harry Potter areas, the land is still a few shops, a train, and a dark ride/coaster with lots of screens. -

I think you also have to look at what they are building too. Yes Universal for the most part is building and opening things faster, but most of their rent additions has been screen based and not relied much on physical sets or animatronics. So yea Transformers was built in a year but it's really just a building with screens in it, shouldn't take much and there's no real theming around it. I would also say that Fantasyland and likely Avatar are bigger areas than any of the new additions in WDW as well, with the exception of Diagon Alley maybe but again it's mostly just building and a couple projector based rides. Fantasyland was three rides two of which use animatronics andAvatar remains to be seen what the boat ride entails but the environment, with its bioluminescence, will be harder to put up than some brick and mortar. On top of these as Stated Disney has been building and enhancing hotels, park experience, adding new shows, etc. yes public perception is focused mostly on rides but Disney really has a resort wide experience feel. There's still always someone new there too. Again not trying to knock either as I love both resorts but need to look at all the facts and not just number of attractions or timeline without taking into account everything going into it. -
Disney World + Universal Studios 5/3/16 - 5/10/16

The villas at Saratoga Springs are nice as well and plenty of room. My family were vacation club members there so stayed at that resort a few times. They have a great pool and facilities around the resort as well and very convenient to Downtown disney, can grab a boat or walk across a footbridge to it. -
If DA got removed that woudl be a great place to expand but honestly would not want them to remove many trees. Think the best way to expand it woudl be to eitehr remove the current warehouse buildings or aorund tot eh otherside of the FoF building. They've got a bit of space tehre that they could fit a flat ride ro two in as well as some restrooms. Would like to see the main plaza area get a quick service counter food option around where the food carts are too. I think the best flats to add there woudl be a Screamin' Swing and one of those controlled planes rides like the Red Arrows ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Both of them woudl fit in great with the flight and testing theme. Possibly even a launch tower if they wanted another one. Could build two towers that don't take up too much space. This would really flesh it out into a true section itself.
-
YEa that's true. could add another lane. I think the big factor though will be how the route it to the station though but could probably be done easily, or just have it merge right before the stairs to cross over onto the station platform
-
It's possible but don't see what they point would be of rerouting the exit only. If you still have a path leading from the entrance, just a new crossing why not keep the same path and share the crossing with entrance and exit paths. Would seem like a lot more work to build two crossing and a new path versus just a single crossing on its own. Agree with an early post that they are likely doing a crossing and placing it in front of the train station so that it's easier to control with the train stopping at the station each cycle and plent yof notice and time to stop the line for it to pull out and then reopen the crossing.

And they could work with Sally Corp. and make a well themed one that doesn't have to be as extreme or intensive as Disney/Universal but still great and work for a regional/seasonal park. Just look at what they have done with the Justice League rides at the Six Flags parks. Cedar Fair could definitely do something like that. And back int eh woods could make for a great setting for it too, built in theming with the trees surrounding it and mild seclusion.
-
I'd say Beast is one for sure. Otherwise it'd be a tossup between Banshee and Diamondback for second. Kind of depends on if i'm in the mood for airtime and speed or intesity and inversions.

Definitely think there is more coming than just a Soccer game to Rivertown with all the work they are doing. Not sure how much of it will be major new attractions or not but think we could definitely see a big overhaul of Rivertown for the 45h Anniversary.

Looking back, when I first started going to Kings Island, one of the things I found so neat about Kings Island was how many of the attractions were kind of "hidden away", and were so well integrated into the landscape. You didn't really know what to expect, you kind of just followed the path. I will miss the walk as well. Always enjoyed the short stroll through the woods to get back to it. And like KIfan72 stated it really made it feel even more secluded than it already was. Plus when there was a line it provided plenty fo shade along the whole path with the trees. Hoepfully this new path will still give a bit of that same feel. This does also make me curious about what all they will be doing back in Rivertown by the old entrance/exit path area. With construction for the game going on and teh queue path taken out it opens up a lot of space for use, and as has been stated with work already being seen in that area. Maybe we are getting something big coming in 2017 for the 45th Anniversary. I'm also curious to see changes to Haunt. If they are taking out that queue path might Tombstone Terror-tory be going away now too? Woudl love to see them just incorporate teh props and costumes into a Ghost Town scare zone through Rivertown. Always liked that the theme matched teh zone but felt the Haunt itself was pretty lackluster.
