Paramount Cartoons
"It's a shame that the Casper franchise is too old to theme a dark ride to." I couldn't agree more. All of those cartoons are gone and basically forgotten, other than Popeye. You could have dueling coasters that would be Popeye vs. Bluto. The only bad thing is, when the trains come close to eachother, you'd have to throw punches at people on the other train.

Great Wolf Lodge Breaks Ground on 8-18
tubaman, nice pic. I haven't seen it or seen it posted anywhere. Looks awesome, though.

What Nick Attraction would you choose?
While something like the rollersoaker might seem cool, it has terrible capacity. Oh wait, a lot of rides at PKI have low capacity, it should fit right in.

PKI Newsletter Hint
I haven't heard a thing either. Hopefully, it will be coming soon.

Indiana Jones?
Meaning, any good Paramount movie worth theming a ride to has had the rights given to someone else.

Post card
You are not supposed to take pics while on rides without the consent of the park. Some parks do allow this;ie Six Flags. Paramount and Cedar Fair Parks do not.

2006 Rumors
Who do you think came up with homeland security? Bush. I was wrong about visa, but passport, yes. At any rate, it will still cost the Canadians time and money. I'm not blowing off steam, I'm stating the facts.

IJST4PKD
MC Hammer didn't really waste his money. His downfall was he had like 50-60 dancers he was paying not to mention all the other staff he had hired. That's what really bankrupted him. I know, I know, And, as much as I don't like IJ:ST, it was a good decision for PKI. I think Cedar Point is going to have to re-think their strategy because their attendance keeps dropping while PKI's goes up.

Beast
"I think the GP would be pretty upset, but I don't think anyone would loose their life over it." Someone would lose their life over it since I voted to kill the person who decided to make that decision.

2006 Rumors
I expect that Canada's Wonderland's attendance will be even higher next year. Why? Because Bush has decided that you have to have a visa to visit Canada and vice versa. I'm sure the Canadians are not going to be as willing to come to american parks now that they will have the added expense.

Great Wolf Lodge Breaks Ground on 8-18
"mystery solving terrorists" Scooby was actually standing at the other end because the Wolf has fleas.

Cedar Point
I like Demon Drop. And yes, Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall at Geauga Lake is being sold as well.

New Record Breaker Again?
^I've heard all that too. But, there is speculation that if some other things over by Demon Drop are relocated, quite possibly you could fit a coaster there. I think they need to put in a top spin in that area.

The summer of 05
I hate the end of summer. The only postitive is football is almost here. But, don't fret. There's still some time to squeeze in one more trip. Mine will probably be to Geauga Lake since I've never been there. If not, one more trip to PKI. I have a friend who works The Beast that I want to meet. We butted heads at first, but then acted like grown men and talked it out. He will be the first employee I've ever met and he works my favorite coaster. I hope he's there the day I decide to go, if I do go. I also want to thank any employees here on this board. The one day that I have been this year was absolutely fantastic and the employees helped make it that way. Great ride ops, food service people and all others. They changed my mind. I used to think that Cedar Point's employees were the best, but now I say PKI has the best.

IJST4PKD
^Or, they could just shorten the name to stunt track if it comes to that.

New Ride in 2006
^And the mosquitos start hanging around like they used to when The Beast had that pond underneath the queue.
-
Front Seat
I like the back seat on just about any coaster. The weight of the rest of the train usually whips you through the course. Vortex being my favorite back seat ride at PKI.
-
Bat
Good for you tggr. Back on topic, very nice find, F5. I have never seen those pics before.

Screaming Demon
"What was sitting at CP? Demon?" Yeah, Combat, that's what I was referring to. It was the Thunderbolt Express. I got to ride it twice before it was SBNO. It was really sad for me to see it rot like that. It was my first looping coaster and first coaster I rode that went backwards.

Photos on rides
"Do you no of anyone who have taken photos while ridding PKI rides if so can i see them ???" Back in the 70's, before the taking of pics or film was against policy, my uncle took 8mm footage of The Racer while riding(this was also before the car was placed on backwards). While it may seem cool, it was really confusing as the camera was moving all over the place, which makes me a bit dizzy. I can't send it to anyone since it is still on 8mm film.

Bat
, but, Brwntggr, where you been?
-
Screaming Demon
"apparently it sat for 6 or more years at CP and they never would or did fix it." That may be partly true, since the last owners wouldn't put any money in to the park. I also heard that they needed some kind of computer chip and couldn't afford it. The new owners are actually spending money on the park. They are slowly restoring the Big Dipper and have added two rides since they have been there.

Top Gun
Coastercrazy is right. Arrow originally had planned for the suspended coasters to do loops and other inversions. They also discovered that it wasn't possible and had to scrap the idea.
-
Over the shoulder harness
^I'm sure it had a MCBR (mid-course brake run) just like most coasters. This mostly prevents two cars being in the same section of track at the same time. "I also remember ride ops instructing everyone to remove any percings they may have before getting on the ride." Don't know if you noticed this, Ryan, but inside the ship before you load, there is still a sign reminding you to remove your earrings. I rode it back then and it was rough and there was a lot of head banging. I also heard that they got better wheels for the cars as well which helped to improve on the roughness.

Bat
^Probably about 6-8 hours. I was fortunate that I rode The Bat. It was a wild ride. Didn't know that they expected the shocks would do the banking. That would make sense. I do know that it became expensive to maintain since the shocks were constantly being replaced.
