Rollercoaster(s) rumor
a. Park chains sign such deals, not individual parks that are part of a chain. There would be no advantage for them to do so. b. If a contract had been signed with B & M, Firehawk would certainly have nothing to do with it, being neither B & M nor new.... No reply, but just to reiterate.

Cedar Point Changes Line Policy
But, if you didn't know how and wanted to get in the game, why help 'em?

Rollercoaster(s) rumor
Why would B&M agree with to this when the price of steel could go up in five years?

Cedar Point Changes Line Policy
I get exactly what you are saying, Tggr. I remember way back in high school, at Chesapeake in Ohio, there was and still is, a small circular paper that went around by the name of the Ironton Tribune. On the front page (and I showed this to my mother), there was a detailed description of how cocaine was made...step by step. I thought this was not the best idea. I also later thought that maybe the paper left out his examples. We should all know by now that often many items of interest are left out of newspaper/television interviews.

The beast at night
Last two years, I have gone during the Fearfest/Halloween Haunt. We got in line about 9:45 and I have to say that a night ride is the best. Although, it was kind of cold once you really get out there in the woods. We were in the front seat and I came back with tears in my eyes from the cold air. My wife had one of those glow necklaces on and it looked way cool in the tunnels.

Diver-Hyper
Good to see you around, Rail Rider! I'm all for Beast Slayer! I'm just not sure a diver out and back would work all that well, considering the width of those cars. But, not a bad idea either.

Coolness! Ronny, you take some of the best pics! Wish I could be there for this event.

New Section Of Park
Problem being, a hotel being built would be a major expansion and there would be many whiny people complaining that CF didn't give them much of anything new for that year, much like this year. Of course, they don't count all of the new shows, the new TR program, or any of the excellent extras that they have come up with like the Kaptain Knieval jump or the coming high wire act.

Monday at kingsisland.
Any time Mon-Thurs. are going to be your better days as far as crowds are concerned. I usually head straight for Rivertown or X Base as usually everyone heads for Action Zone first being right by the front gate.

Looking for how-to-be-comfortable tips
I like having a fanny pack too. I carry sunscreen as I need to use it more often than most since I burn easily. Not to mention, I had sunscreen in my cargo shorts one time and after I exited Delirium, it had squeezed a whole bunch of it in my pocket...what a mess! Plus, I like having my money in front of me in large crowds. The Beast at night is awesome! Firehawk is the best coaster KI has installed since Invertigo.

I was thinking the exact same thing, Thrill Biscuit!

Cedar Point Changes Line Policy
"I know for a fact this policy has been abused in the past," Schmidt said. "There are people who will rent wheelchairs and fake handicaps to avoid waiting in line, but this way those guests who are in need will still benefit." Sigh..... He knows for a fact but fails to give examples. Maybe he witnessed it?

Son of Beast
The Rose Bowl is the first helix after the initial drop. It was nicknamed the Rose Bowl since it seems to resemble a football stadium.

Hypersonic
No, he's saying that KK is focusing on adding waterpark attractions. The waterpark is what is the main draw for that park. Hypersonic would be best to just be scrapped. You think TTD has had problems, Hypersonic is far worse, IMO.

Whats the funniest rumor youv'e ever heard?
Funny how stories morp into something completely different. I had heard stories for years about someone falling off of The Bat on the lift hill.

Kings Island Offers Summer Discounts
Sounds like some pretty good deals!

The Crypt
If lack of theming were any indication, Disaster Transport at Cedar Point would have been gone long ago, so I wouldn't worry about that.

The Cicadas
I have not seen the blue eyed cicadas. The kinda look alien to me. Singing for two weeks, reproducing, and then dying...sounds pretty good to me.

Trim Brakes
The brake before the corkscrew on Vortex is not a trim brake. It is a Mid Course Brake Run, which is very handy in keeping two trains from entering the same block and possibly colliding. The MCBR could make the train come to a complete stop, but it ususally only slows you down because KI is pretty good at dispatching trains. Not to mention, the MCBR on Vortex has always been there.

Trim Brakes
Well, it's obvious that you can't leave the skid brakes on after having an accident. It's a good thing you don't work for their legal department either. If they had left the skid brakes and there was already an accident, and another one happens, then you just opened yourself up to being sued and definitely losing considering the coasters' history. No way KI could defend themselves in court when a previous accident had ocurred and they did nothing to correct the situation. There has always been brakes going into the helix. Find the vid and prove me wrong. I'd also like to see proof of where they could "make" the magnetic brakes act in the same way as the skids did. Magnetic brakes only kill the ride experience in your opinion. I have heard many arguements both ways, so, that point you can never settle.

Trim Brakes
Here is the second link Maverick Brakes again. About The Beast...I said that I politely disagree. You haven't proven anything and neither have I. We just both have different opinions. The magnetic brakes are not the problem. Would you rather them leave the old skid brakes and risk another collision? The braking was there before and it's there now. Show me pics of where the original hill didn't have any brakes. Not saying that's not right, which I conceded to already. I just can't remember. Like I said, the braking in the shed only seems different because the skid brakes slowed you down gradually whereas the magnetic is all at once.

Had another great trip. (6/18)
Looks like a great trip to me! Nice photos!
