what is the most missed ride?
I miss: Flight Commander The Bat The Bavarian Beetle The Bayern Curve The Tumblebug I would love to find an old pennant that I used to have as a kid that had The Beast, The Bat, and the Screamin' Demon on it.

Wrong thread. This is X-Flight, not SOB.

Sounds like a step in the right direction. More families = Mo Money!

If I worked there and saw all of these posts, I wouldn't say a thing. This is most entertaining!

Fear Fest '07
Maybe because it wasn't advertised that way? Honestly, when I looked at the Holiday Horrors, I wasn't sure what was supposed to take place.

And, if you go a little further east, you can find the Loch Ness Monster!

Fear Fest '07
I thought it was horrorible. Why talk to the characters? Were we supposed to converse? I thought the idea was to scare me, not engage me in conversation.

When do you think?
I think some of this depends on the technology used. Yeah, the two four hundred footers have their problems, most of which have to do with the propulsion. Now, if you were to use an elevator cable lift, like Millennium Force, that could be more reliable and possibly more feasible as in can it be done. Now, the cost for such a ride with that kind of lift, may not be very cost effective at this point in time. I also believe, in fact, that Cedar Point at this point is the only likely candidate. The only other huge chain is Six Flags, and they are not building any more Titanic sized rides. I also think that 550 or 600 feet would be the next mark as the current record is 456ft and 500 would only beat the record by a mere 35 feet. CP tends to break records nearly 100 ft. taller than its' predecessor.

In that second pic, that looks like the top of the loop to me. Thoughts?

Is this good news or bad news? Well, as long as he doesn't bring the grim reaper, you should be good to go.

Kingda Ka Video
Sloppy video. I didn't see any really "great" view since it was recorded "Blair Witch Project" style.

Stuntman's Freefall Taken Down At SFGAd...
^No way Combat! People are going to send me the money to buy Camden plus extra to completely restore the entire park. Interpreter, I did briefly mention that Camden doesn't have the money to buy or maintain a 1st Gen. Intamin freefall. So, I'm not under any delusions. But, in a dream world where Camden has money to buy and maintain a ride like this, it would be a good installation for a park of its' size. Large rides just wouldn't fit in with Camden.

Can You Guess the Year?
I agree that KI looks pretty good, but I'd like to see some more from the early to mid eighties. That is when I thought the park looked its' best. I think that IJ:ST would be better located at AZ and Son of Beast should have been built in another area. Not sure if there was room anywhere else, but it's a thought.

I agree dude! I love Demon Drop. Never even got to ride it when it was popular. Camden Park could use a ride like this. Unfortunately, if parts are hard to come by and CP has no money anyway, this is not feasible, but fun to dream about.

Yeah, you got me there.

X-Flight coming to PKI?
I'm going with CoastersRZ on this one. Whatever site prep work has or will be done, no one can see it anyway. So, only that park knows whether or not site work has been done or not.

Even if you are right, I doubt I'll think about you. I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't know you. Besides which, a crane only indicates that work is taking place, nothing else. What that work might be, we just don't know.

No More $20 Million Coasters, Saith Shapiro At IAAPA
Ragerunner, the definition of a family ride is not easily cut and dry. First, back in the 70's, when The Beast first opened, my grandfather, whom was in his 60's, rode and loved The Beast. He was not the only older person riding that coaster either. So, wouldn't The Beast in fact be a family ride since I was pretty young, around 8, riding that coaster and my grandfather was in his 60's and there were those riding between those ages? So, to me, The Beast is and always will be a family attraction.
