For the client, not the park... SIX just chose to have its rides replicated in several locations. My point was that a potential new ride would be custom engineered to meet Rob Decker and crew's desires. Currently they prefer B&M, who has no "off-the-shelf" rides, but then Cedar Fair prefers custom coasters in its larger parks anyway.

Have you met a B&M that isn't custom- designed for the client? See also: The Bat's new neighbor, Banshee.

(For reference: https://youtu.be/zq7Eki5EZ8o) Edit: Silly forum thought that the closing parenthesis was part of the link. No, it wasn't..

That is so beyond tempting it's ridiculous.. Alas, I really should not if I do not have a job before then, even if it's for a good cause. So cool of them to do that, too! Edit: tough cause? No, bad brain. I was thinking that it was a tough decision and that came out instead.

Why, do you find it Tacky?

Sorry?

Actually, it seems they're at least being somewhat Fair with these matters. Or trying, anyway. Cedar Point had added Midway Market to the dining plans last season, but quickly removed it "because it made lines too long" or something like that. They did allow those who purchased the plan when MM was listed to continue to eat there. This was mildly frustrating for those who purchased the plan before it was added, because we didn't end up grandfathered in. Carowinds somehow managed to list Chickie's and Pete's as well as the funnel cake stand as being on the dining plan via their park guide. From reports over at Carowinds Connections, the park is honoring its mistake.

Indeed, it is hardly the same. The transmission only shifts when it wants to, and even if you hit the button twice in rapid-fire fashion, it still has to shift individual gears. Then again, it's dual-clutch so it just switches back and forth. If you floor it in S-6, it's still liable to drop down a couple gears because that's what it thinks you want. The way mine works is that, when coasting (i.e. foot off gas), and under a few conditions, it will indeed shift itself into neutral. It also has what's called (Aggressive) Deceleration Fuel Shut-Off (ADFSO), meaning that while coasting, it uses no fuel. The car keeps rolling based on the momentum of the vehicle, to put it simply. Bottom line? Take your foot off the gas and truly coast, in neutral, burning no gas. Really fun when driving down a mountain. Indeed I do have a roll of Kroger-branded aluminum foil acquired from Fry's somewhere around here.. I have no idea how they choose which products to use the unified Kroger brand (such as the foil) versus the regional chain's brand (such as water bottles). There must be some logic there. Stores of The Kroger Co. and its subsidiaries, just like competitors such as Meijer and Walmart (formerly known as Wal-Mart), do also vary in size based on market size. Some markets do not justify more than a small store, while others receive massive "super centers". For its part, Kroger seems to be venturing more and more into larger stores over time. Take, for example, a store in town that started off in a small building attached to a K-Mart. They outgrew it and built a new building right across the parking lot. Well, apparently even that was no longer enough as they tore down the (former) K-Mart and what had become a Big Lots to build an even bigger store. The two new stores, built from the ground up, were completed within the past 10-15 years. Granted, they did close down a second store in a strip mall in a neighboring town, so maybe they wanted to combine the two. But, alas, this is all completely divergent from the topic of Kentucky Kingdom.

From watching these updates regarding the Kings Island's dining plans for this upcoming season, I believe two conclusions can reasonably be drawn: Somebody has no idea about consistency. There are generally 2-3 different lists, none of which are equally alike. Things are very up in the air and still subject to change before the season begins. It wouldn't be too surprising if the options even changed during the season.

Control over the transmission, yes. Control over the car, that's where I brought up this point. It could go either way.

The pieces of track in the picture....aren't Green. My guess is, B&M Coaster....some park.....on Earth. What color if not green? Are you color blind and unable to read? The pieces are Red. Did you not see the one piece in the back right that's clearly different than the others? Sure looks green to me.

You have less control in the sense that, instead of focusing entirely on steering and gas/brake to get away from a potentially dangerous situation, you also have to ensure that you are in a gear that won't tear apart your transmission. Just another way of looking at it..

I should probably clarify for those who don't know. The Kroger Co. has largely chosen to expand into new markets by acquiring regional grocery chains, keeping their own unique identity as a division thereof, as well as branding while integrating a lot of product selection, store design, marketing, etc. Kansas has Dillons. California has Ralphs. Fry's Food and Drug is another such division of The Kroger Co. While founded in California, it seems as though they operate solely in Arizona at this point in time. Imagine walking into a store that, at least on the inside, looks just like your standard Kroger.. Except you keep seeing this logo and hearing these announcement mentioning Fry's. Trippy.

Speaking of horrible music (choices).. Cedar Point Media Day 2014. The new thing was the renovated Gemini Midway with Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles. What should I hear but a song about a guy wanting to be lazy, laying in bed all day, only getting up to get laid. That really fits in with the child-friendly atmosphere they were going for. Wait, no, the opposite of that. Hmm, Worlds of Fun. I hear that park is pretty FUN. It also opened for the season yesterday..

One might surmise that it was my intention to train myself to properly time shifts with SelectShift for an eventual attempt at a manual vehicle. However, at this rate, that may be impossible. After all, manuals can't drive themselves.
-
So.. If one were to buy a ticket from Fry's Food and Drug in remote Flagstaff, Arizona, would the ticket acquirer be paid to take the tickets?

My mother is shiftless, although her car is not. I get to choose when I want to be shiftless, which is never these days.
-
Indeed I am not! My poor shiftless mother has no such option, the struggles of a base model. My brother, on the other hand.. Well, his 5-speed and 6-speed models make him anything but shiftless. If he gets bored of shifting, he has to find a new transmission!

Ah, yes, the theme song of FUN TV, "Ain't It FUN". Why, yes, for the SIXth time, it is FUN to be at a Cedar Fair park.
