Perhaps he did but at that point was not very interested in entering the park, given the incompetence previously displayed.

My eyeglass straps (yes, I have three) live in the console of my car and pair up with my sunglasses on any and all park visits, regardless of park policy. I already have them, they take up little space, and why not be in the habit of always wearing them?

Cedar Fair has vastly modernized its corporate website from that old Flash-based map from the early Kinzel era. It's now a so-called responsive site. It even comes complete with a new corporate logo. As it turns out, the company assigned the ticker of FUN takes fun seriously. Also, funnel cake consumption is up. Okay, so this site is really clever and playful. That said, could the fake stock ticker be misconstrued as misleading investors into thinking that, for instance, funnel cake sales have increased a certain amount more (or less) than they have? It goes without saying that this poster is not a qualified legal adviser in any capacity, including but not limited as an attorney or lawyer in any United State or the District of Columbia. He is also not an expert in investor relations, although he does hold units in Cedar Fair.

The 9 best coasters near Detroit

The only parks I've seen advertised in the DTW area are Cedar Point and Michigan's Adventure. Banshee might've made the local news but I don't recall. Chicago is a popular day trip from here but generally not for thrill rides. Passports are indeed rather easy to obtain, so long as one isn't faced by budget constraints. I'm trying to limit expenditures until more money starts rolling in. -
I was wondering about that as well. Was it a default setting in the upgrade (like the warning points), the only option, or an intentional change?
-
Adventure Express is a steel or hybrid coaster, but not a wooden coaster. Its structure is wood (with steel reinforcements) but its track is steel, and that is what is typically counted.
-
Hmm, perhaps it's one of many options not on any documentation but still available?

There are two logical causes there. Either guest relations simply did not want to handle any guest complaints (which is a huge part of its job, typically), or Terpy was directly targeted here.

Follow-up: I did take a moment to look into what an enhanced driver license involves and it seems to be relatively harmless. They say it's just storing basically a unique ID or token on the RFID chip that's meaningless without access to the government's database. The only questionable part that I can find is that it involves data sharing between various state and federal governmental agencies. Still interested in getting a passport (for other reasons) but maybe I'll just get an enhanced license and check Canada's Wonderland out. -
Status: conspiracy confirmed?

"satire |ˈsaˌtīr| noun the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues." Yep, still satire!

Presumably something about the figurative door being right over there.

Some of us don't want an "enhanced" license, but yes, that's technically an option.. -

Hmm, international border crossing requirements might be why they were left out. That's the biggest thing keeping me from checking the place out - the need for a passport. But indeed, what of Behemoth, Leviathan, and co.? -

Son of a Beast.. I like how this article shows (right or wrong) that Cedar Fair parks are the only short-trip options from Metro Detroit. -
You should laugh that they feel so threatened by your presence. Why cry? It's hardly your loss, other than the opportunity to get one last trip to the park before its inevitable demise, as some would predict. That, and a partially wasted trip out to the good ol' state of Kentucky. Just have Hart, and know that you're not the Hartless one in this situation. Uh oh, are these comments going to get me banned from the park as well?
-
So, in sum, smoke yes, lots of smoke, but fire no.
-
That actually makes more sense than the situation presented at face value. Going through three employees "attempting to charge a credit card" only to have none of them be able to? To attempt to escalate the situation and have them respond by calling security? Perhaps the plan all along was to call security and they were merely stalling. I wonder..

*cough* Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro *cough* (Though not necessarily for electrical grid concerns..)

But is it okay if they cause a lot of uptown? Sorry, that joke was funky.
-
Verbal communication, via telephones, perhaps? Isn't that how ride crews usually communicate with coworkers they can't see?
-
They are, after all, LEDs, are they not? Trying to compare a few LED fixtures to an LIM launch in terms of electrical draw? That's like comparing Top Thrill Dragster to.. walking the midway next to it.

A pass barcode is a pass barcode is a pass barcode. Likely just like the souvenir cups that use the same barcode schema between the parks, the passes do as well. What this means is that when a park employee scans a pass to add something to it (a season pass record to a card, an all-day refill for a cup), the system only cares that you have 1) a valid barcode and 2) pay for it. End result? To the POS or admissions system, you scanned a cup (doesn't care where it's from) or a pass (doesn't care what's printed on it). So, you could theoretically take a CP souvenir cup and have it scanned at KI with no problem. An employee could give you the wrong card, because the system doesn't care what's printed on it.. It just wants the barcode number. This also means that when you upgraded your pass, you simply changed the type of pass recorded in the system. The admissions system now knows that you have a Platinum Pass. It doesn't care that your pass says Gold and is colored faux-gold. Your pass is just as valid as a Platinum pass with a Gold card as it would be as a Platinum.. Well, anywhere it gets scanned. Once scanned, you would still be granted admission to any park or parking lot as you are entitled access with a Platinum pass. There is nothing wrong with your Gold card actually being for a Platinum pass, in terms of validity. The only issue you'll run into is when 1) employees get confused, or 2) you try to attend a Platinum-only event, like Cedar Point's ride nights and morning ERT. I personally had a hole-punch in my CP Platinum pass cause it to crack and start to delaminate. A simple trip to the season pass center had them 1) scan my pass, 2) tell the system they were giving me a new one, 3) scan a new pass, 4) hand the pass to me and I was on my way. All this being said, I would simply drop by the pass center when it's not busy on your next visit. There is no reason for them to give you any hassle on this.
