I said seasons...plural. With the ability to add 400 employees, it would be nice to have the park open for spring break. Also, the last weeks in August, during the week. It'd be nice to have "Haunt/Winterfest Lite" on weekdays. I never said I wanted the park open year round. Sorry you read that in my post. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I'd hope they use the dormitory and eventually perhaps extend the seasons. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I'd like for the European names to return: Spanish building, German building, Swiss and French. It would be cool to see food and merch mixed in from each country along with current merch. They could even move the airbrush out and bring that building into the IS theme if they don't plan an Oktoberfest renovation down the road. The possibilities are endless and exciting. KIC Podcast- Episode #4- International Street Renovation
BeeastFarmer replied to CoastersRZ's topic in KIC Podcasts
@BoddaH1994, there was a point in the podcast that mentioned the flags around the Tower, and if they were still there. It was not about the location of the flags towards the entrance. My response was about the Tower flags. -

The flag poles are still around the tower. -
Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18

It's a couple of pictures of a giant metal hand, tearing up Firehawks track...with maniacal laughing. Similar to this screenshot.... Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk -
Discussion on Firehawk and Surrounding Land Use
BeeastFarmer replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
Last night was the first night of class. I have students ranging from 22-60 years old. In the "tell me about yourself" portion of the class, I shared my roller coaster hobby, and about half the class began a discussion of the New Beast coming to Kings Island. I thought it was pretty funny. It will be interesting to see if the same thing happens with tonight's class. -
Great questions! Rivertown got at least closer to themed music in 2018, the Pickin On series of Bluegrass pop music. I really liked it and hope it returns. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I've stopped eating burgers at KI. They smell amazing on the Diamondback lift hill, but they taste bland. And the texture of extruded meat is not appetizing at all. Of course that may have changed in 2018 but I wouldn't know because I didn't eat them. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

A forest requires trees, which Action Zone doesn't have. #planttrees #futureforest #growtreesgrow Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

They may get creative with the color and texture of the pavers to mimic a sidewalk and street. I'm more excited for the future of KI than I've ever been. I think they are reading my mind because 75% of my wish list items are being done! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Please keep the pedestals! It's very ironic that this was released today. Last night I was looking at YouTube videos of Canada's Wonderland IS and I thought to myself how much nicer the KI Royal Fountain looks.

Selective pruning is great for the long term survival of trees planted in a confined environment. As it is currently, the trees can only use the small area of grass for water and nutrients, the pavement is not conducive to this. Although, linden trees are fairly resilient trees.

It looks like one tree near the Sweet Spot is a goner in that last photo.

We know that 2019 will bring us the KMAA and a refreshment to this area of the Area Formerly Known as Coney Mall. We also know that Firehawk will be gone. What else do you think will change at the park this year? And just out of curiousity...can anyone here take a guess as to why they still have the WinterFest lights still on? I know they are LED, but it still costs money not to mention the hours of life taken off the bulbs.

B&M takes the Volcano: The Blast Coaster concept and fixes it into a GiGa Flyer. Themed to X-Base, the coaster will be called Moon Mountain: Launch to the Future!, and will feature a 400 foot tall lunar mountain built on top of FOF where the flyer will have its third launch straight up and out of the mountain. The overall theme will be tied to how The Beast actually brought back some contaminated DNA when she visited the moon, infected the vegetation near the Miami Valley Lumber Co, grew a giant rattlesnake nearby, where an Irish Spirit chases them to Action Zone and constantly screems her head off, Indiana Jones tries to save the day but fails, and two trains try to Race each other to get out of the area. Oh, it will be specifically designed by B&M to run in temperatures down to -3 F and the track will be able to circulate hot water inside so that snow and ice will not hamper the ride during the winter season. The newly expaned X-Base will have a seperate entrance and will operate year round. How's that for some imaginative speculation?

Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18
BeeastFarmer replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
As an enthusiast, I will probably be disappointed if it's not a GiGa. I don't know if the GP would see a remarkable decline in visits. KI has a very loyal passholder population . My wish? A GiGa Flyer from B&M! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk -
Cedar Point Fast Lane
BeeastFarmer replied to Jasper's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I took my neice to CP this past summer and we got them for the first day we were there. Well worth it. If you have a Platinum pass, you can get the FL+ at the FL price--or at least you could last season. But as always, guage the crowds before you purchase. -
What Is Your Favorite Part of the Kings Island Season?
BeeastFarmer replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
This is a difficult poll. I'm voting for WinterFest because I love the entertainment, the lighting, the food and just the overall magic that it gives to the park. I'd have to say early season comes in a close second for me. Like @VortexBFForever said, seeing the park come back to life, hearing the familiar sounds and smelling the familiar smells. Getting the first ride on The Beast for the season and hearing the anti-rollbacks on Vortex. -
Future plans for Firehawk's station discussion
BeeastFarmer replied to Codyfryguy's topic in Kings Island
Storm Chaser never loaded on both sides. The other side is used as a train storage area. -
^I like your ideas, but I also like the International Showplace. I'd love to see a Harmony Hall type of building in Xbase if a GiGa were to ever go over there. It wouldn't solve the indoor show dilemma, but I do think there needs to be an indoor sit-down eatery on the back side of the area formerly known as Coney Mall. (I'd love to see the Kill Mart building turned into an indoor eatery, with patio dining options along The Racer.)

I haven't seen any advertising for it in Central Kentucky. I've blabbed on and on about it though! A coworker is bringing her family and I am bringing a friend for NYE. My parent wanted to c.this year, but they are dog sitting and it just didn't work out logistically. Think about this, though: So many people said WinterFest would never return because of the unpredictable weather, the market has changed, Cedar Fair has no interest, etc. In just two seasons, the park has opened up more real estate than it ever did before for WinterFest, had more rides open, more shows, more food and more lights than ever before. The event has spread to almost half of the CF parks. It's free for pass holders. And it scored a #2 spot in the USA Today poll, beating Dollywood! (if you take stock in these fan-based polls.) Pretty impressive.

Wow, the park was packed last night! I am glad to see large crowds, and through the magic of WinerFest, it didn't feel crowded! I tried the buffet at Reds. I was not impressed at all. Glad I had the meal plan so I had to only pay $5 and I am glad I tried it. But a decent buffett needs to have more than 5 or 6 selections. The food was very good (except the green bean casserole, it was too "earthy" for me) but the sweet potato casserole and the mashed potatoes were ice cold! I think the rolls were left over from Sunday. Hard as a rock, shrunken and wrinkled. The ham was very good. It would have been nice to have a soup and a dessert. (They were not giving out the cookies I have heard so much about.) I must have just hit the buffet on an off day or time because I have heard great things about it. I hope the park continues to offer things like this. I also wanted to try the "international" foods at the Festhaus. I was still full from the buffet so I wanted to take my second meal "to go." Got a refill, asked the cashier what time they stopped serving (most places do not stay open until closing except I Street during normal season). He didn't know and said to ask the folks behind the serving line. On the way out, I wanted some pull apart bread and they were sold out. I asked if it were available anywhere else in the park and was told "Uh...I don't know." Maybe this is part of the root of the food service issue at KI. Basic things should be common knowledge like closing times and if something is available elsewhere. Side note: the pull apart bread is awesome and if it is only available, I think the park should look at expanding it to other areas. It is reasonably priced and an arguable hit. (but maybe they limit supply to increase the urgency to purchase?) All this to say--I think that food service has improved at KI. This is not a rant post!

On The Beast, I wouldn't. Stay away from my The Beast.
