Boo Blasters on Boo Hill is not part of Planet Snoopy. It is considered a part of International Street. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

The ginkgo trees have been removed and replaced with Autumn Blaze maple trees as of April 2018. The only ginkgo trees on site now are on Kings Island Drive streetscape. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I've always liked the light color of KI's Royal Fountain. Even though it shows debris, dirt and some algae. Kings Dominion has a darker color on the Royal Fountain and it detracts from the look at street level and Eiffel Tower level, in my opinion. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Ok, here's my perspective: International Street looks awesome! The building paint, the pavers, the trees, everything just looks wonderful. I really miss the pedestals. But when I saw the fountains in person, they look much better than I expected. I do however, think that they look more generic than regal now. The lighting scaffolds... I don't know how they could have hidden those and achieved the same effect. They are ugly, yes, but they do fade into the background when you stare at the fountains and the buildings. I do think to park over promised and undelivered on the fountain. But the new fountain gives much room for flexibility in the future so I am hopeful that the park will continue to evolve the Royal fountains And get them to the point to where they are simply majestic. I was also hoping for less grass and more flowers and landscaping directly around the fountain. That might be hard to do with the geese problem that the park has. I really wish the geese could be relocated. I'm also hoping that they continue with the new pavers at the entrance and around the Eiffel Tower and Tower Gardens. I also wish that they would bring back the ornate light fixtures, to me that speaks volumes of a European Street that highlights the countries of Germany Switzerland France Spain and Italy. I really like the German beer stein and the glockenspiel that has been restored at the Festhaus along with the planter in front of the Festhaus. Had the part not made in an announcement, and just did what they've done, most of us would be overjoyed. However, they set very high expectations and it feels, to me, that they got about 75% of the job done. I'd give them a solid 3.2/3.0 on the job so far. I think they'll continue to tweak it. And the management in place seems committed to KI traditional stuff. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Kings Island food for people with special dietary needs
BeeastFarmer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Either the author didn't know, or this was written before the menu was finalized, but there is no way you could eat the impossible burger after having eaten a KI Salad. I have had both and barely finished the salad. The burger...not even close. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk -
I personally hope they stick with dark seats and clamshells. That disguises the human grease. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

DDN: 334-site outdoor resort, RV camping planned near Kings Island
BeeastFarmer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I'd say that California's Great America would also be included into a park with a huge investment pool. The company is poised to complete the purchase of the land under the park for around 150 million dollars this quarter. It is being financed through long term debt but will be offset by savings from the yearly lease costs. -
I'd venture a guess that they run Red simply because it's visible from the Midway of the area formerly known as Coney Mall. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Coasterstock 2019 - May 17th & 18th

@Shawn Meyer, I was hoping to meet up with you. I've enjoyed reading your posts over the past couple of years. Maybe soon... -
I hope KI is not pulling a KD with FoF. It concerns me that they are using Firehawk's queue for FoF because they could take out some of the indoor portions and use it for Haunt as KD has done.

But, wait...they are supposed to be called The Royal Show Fountains now, according a KIC member! Lol Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I had the same impression when I rode it the Friday after opening weekend. I'm assuming that GCI used Ipe wood on Mystic Timbers and the retracked Blue Racer turn around. But totally different execution. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

In my opinion, the newly retracked turn around on the blue side, while not jerky, was rough. Almost like the wheels were hitting the bolts instead of the steel. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I wasn't speaking about coaster sheds, but about general storage sheds, like for seasonal decor or floats. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

If it's for a Haunt building or maintenance, it will still need electric and water for power and fire protection. Not sure about storage sheds, though. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

On the walk back of The Beast earlier, I definitely heard chain saws and a chipper running. I was on the gravel road on the hill before the mcbr, near where the new culverts are. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Which Giga name will be coming to Kings Island
BeeastFarmer replied to Cedar Fair Fanboy's topic in KI Polls
I'm mulling over whether or not the park would name the new coaster Shooting Star. According to the blog post about The Beast's 40th, the park was going to rebuild the Shooting Star beside The Racer. -
In the Reader's Mailbag post referenced above some hints may be gleaned, or not. Also in a blog about The Beast last month, I found it interesting that the original plan for the roller coaster that became The Beast was to rebuild the Coney Island Shooting Star beside (or maybe behind) The Racer. Things that make me go hmmm... https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2019/april/the-beast-40-years-of-terror

I wasn't impressed with I 305. But to me, Maverick is so so. Coasters are subjective. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I wouldn't like a direct tie-in to The Beast, but I would like it to tie in with the theme of most of the adult coasters that are in the park. I do think they all loosely fit together except the Backlot Junkyard Coaster, Invertigo and The Racer. The Bat, Banshee, Adventure Express, Vortex, Flight of Fear, The Beast, Mystic Timbers, and Diamondback all something menacing behind them. I'd love to see this continued, but not with some weird name like they did with Valravyn, or however it's spelled. LOL -
Consider this: The Cirque show Origins had vines and forest imagery that tied into Mystic Timbers. Will the current show, Gravity, also foreshadow a future attraction? Several scoffed at this notion when I mentioned it last year.
