I spoke to the park this morning. Stopping at Guest Services, I will get a medical tag. I will need to have a fanny pack with my items in it. I'll show that at the ride entrance and then proceed to the station. The items can remain with me during the ride. They will give me a contact number if there are issues. Plus, First Aid is in Frontier Town and they can verify the medical necessity. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Thanks, @King Ding Dong. I am going to call this park this week to see if I need documentation from my provider. I won't be back at CP until mid August, so I have plenty of time to find an answer. While T1D is considered a disability, for myself I would hate to use a system designed for people who have ambulation or sensory issues. I get what the park is trying to do and support the safety initiative. I don't think it is a money grab, but then again, we are in a very strange year it seems.

For me, it is a medical device in the following way: I have Type I Diabetes. I have to carry an insulin pen, glucose tablets, and up until a little over a year ago, a glucose monitor kit. I was approved by my insurance to get a continuous glucose monitor. I have a sensor that I insert into my skin about every 10 days and it reads the glucose levels in the interstitial fluid and updates every 5 minutes. The app is installed on a smart phone and they communicate via Blutooth. It checks every 5 minutes. I don't have to carry a glucose monitor kit around anymore because the CGM takes the place of it. If I "go off" of the CGM for a trip to a park, I loose the value of the sensor (about $70 after insurance) plus days of valued data. In addition to giving me "now" ability to treat hypo or hyperglycemia, it contains thousands of data points that allow my health team to see trends and make long term treatment decisions. Having missing data interferes with that data collection. In addition, my blood sugar levels are especially vulnerable on park days because of the increased activity, the perspiration, the food choices I make etc. Not sure if you wanted that long winded explanation, but I will always take the opportunity to educate folks about Type I Diabetes!

And Magenta Lizard wins KIC today! I listened to a lady rant about the stroller policy a few weeks ago. She asked the attendant if she was supposed to leave her child outside in the stroller while they watch the show. (Plus a few explicatives). I pray for the children of these people.

Cross threading just a bit here. I am enjoying reading the Adventure Express history thread. So many details lost to time. Maybe we should start a thread as a new attraction opens to give specific details about it. Like with Mystic Timbers, all the little details. It would be good to record history has it happens.

That is the correct path. But, maybe you could get some exclusive ERT at the train station Freestyle. I bet your concierge, Dennis, can make that happen. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Please noooooooo….I love our fountains just as is. They can tweak what they have, but please no dancing waters type of stuff.

Actually, since this level of pass is exclusive to you alone, you can choose your favorite Hannah Barbera character. Dennis Spiegel will be your concierge on WindSeeker.

^The people who reside in the Dogstreet Cemetery might not like this placement. Missouri Jane might not be so nice to the park.

I'm sure someone does... Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I think @King Ding Dong should get his own platinum elite diamond exclusive pass. This would allow him to have a special gondola on WindSeeker that is equipped with a Freestyle concierge.

I'm not a fan on spinny or circular rides. I'd like to see some Antique Cars. I'd like to see a Skyride. I'd like to see the train re-invigorated. Those are just my personal preferences. For others, I would like to see some thrilling rides, but I don't know enough about them to name them. Oh, I would love to see Congo Falls relocated to Rivertown.

This and the TR:TR teasers are an absolute blast. Might even be considered FUN.

The landscaping in the animation is much nicer than what we have with the Junkyard Stunt Coaster.

I went thru Coney BBQ yesterday and did not eat there. There is a marked change in the pulled pork. When I ate there last week, it was different. It smelled like bacon (I love bacon!). It had the same smell yesterday; and it looked almost like chunky hamburger. The chicken quarters looked small and wrinkled. The corn on the cob looked dried out. The smoked sausage looked good. Maybe these recent experiences have been related to the time of day and the fact that the park was relatively dead. I waited until closer to park close to get some Street Pizza. It was really good.

Some observations from my 6/26 visit: 1. It looks to me like Vortex got a new compressor. 2. The landscaping crew has taken it up a level this year. The park is really beautiful. 3. Most effects were working on Adventure Express except the wind sounds in the tunnels and the lava light was not on. I really like the swords being back on and the creaking noises on the lift hill. 4. FOF: the aluminum siding on one corner is till flapping in the breeze. 5. The Beast is running rougher this year. 6. Banshee is rattling pretty bad. 7. Even with remodels, the restrooms still smell. I think it is a combination on no automatic flushes on the urinals and a lack of air circulation. 8. Cirque Gravity is incredible. 9. Food service is much improved over previous years. Generally quick and the employees are friendly. 10. Diamondback was running great.

Hmmmm...just in the last few posts it has been said by numerous people that they have something they did not pay for. I hope these multiple drink plans are not being counted as revenue to the SEC. That could be very bad.

Season Long Locker Rental Now Available 2007
BeeastFarmer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I only wish they would do this. Since the paper cup option has been added, I personally have no use for a locker. But it would quiet some of the "money grab" comments from the GP. I dream of the day that Diamonback does not have bins. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk -
I can only do FOF with lights on. I get terribly nauseated with lights off.

The midnight closings are so much fun. I like it because I can drive from Central Kentucky and leave later in the day from my home. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
