  1. But if people want it, then why not? I mean, per caps mean higher revenue, future investment, debt reduction and unitholder satisfaction.
  2. I've had great experiences both times I've had Grain and Grill. The meat entrees do not speak to me, but I can eat a decently healthy meal with three sides that is very filling. (I tried the potatoes this week and was not a fan). I think they need to have a rotation in the meat menu. I agree with the plating as @brenthodgesays above...the woodgrain plate would be a better presentation. Now for Enriques...I've often heard that the chicken was bland at Hanks. But it was always good until last week. It was bland! And can you get queso on the burrito or burrito bowl for free or is that considered a side? If it's on the food item? It's a little confusing, they call it aside so I would think they would charge you for a side cup of queso, but if it's on the burrito it seems to me that it would be free.
  3. Thanks for this, Brad. Good to hear this information straight from the source.
  4. See the post that CoasterRZ quoted for the area . TroY is suggesting a water coaster in this area that has a steep terrain.
  5. Kings Island is known for using the terrain for their coasters, would it be that much different for a water coaster? If I recall Jeff Gramke correctly, on The Beast, it actually saved money but having a taller coaster but with less structure. Banshee uses the terrain to achieve the fastest speed on the back portion of the ride and while I don't know if it added speed or thrill, The Bat is built in a tenuous area for terrain and is remote. My personal issue with this location is tree removal. If the park wanted to invest the money, terrain issues can be overcome by construction firms.
  6. Anything to enhance The Beast yet keep it true to itself, I am in favor of.
  7. Well it can't be related to staffing shortages since the park's Communication Director tweeted recently that the park has a wait-list for employees. I guess if anything is closed now we should assume it's for maintenance instead of staffing since Chad has tweeted that applying for jobs at KI is now a futile thing to do.
  8. The Royal Fountain stops operating in made to late October and doesn't start running again until April.
  9. Thank you, Kings Island, for saving and replanting the redbud trees! That made my day!
  10. In other words, let's remove more trees! Seriously though, Soak City is in need of an overhaul, so this would be a time to address the bridge and station. Both do need work. In the past, we have seen major additions preceded by minor changes...2019 brought antique autos and 2020 brought Orion. 2016 brought funnel cake and 2017 brought mystic. Timbers. With the removal of the surfing attraction and renovation of the restaurant in Soak City this year, I wonder if 2024 brings in a renovation and rethemed Soak City?
  11. I heard latino music at coaster stock. But near the restrooms it was a mash up of Coney Mall music, international jazz and Latino.
  12. Truthfully, I would not invest in mason. The area is just not enough of a draw for me and many other tourists. Now if I could invest as KI...I'd aquire adjacent land and move as many of the none customer facing aspects of property (maybe make ki an easy coast hub for train rebuilds, signs, wardrobe making etc). This would add year round FTEs to the local economy. I'd aquire great wolf lodge, renovate it to breakers standards and ad a true campground. Id look into doing a nature area using the river and woods that is low impact. I'd try to add a small fec type of building that would have year round interest. I'd sustainably build out the parking and look at bringing in a downtown Disney atmosphere to drive revenue. I'd buy out the complaining neighbors and charge myself $1/year for rent so Diamondback can rattle my windows. I'd rebuild KCKC.
  13. Forgot to add: *Prestige pass jealousy/haughtyness * kI is going cheap on Adventure Port *Caster Studos RuLz!!!!
  14. *Timberwolf * Yellow tape/construction markers *Parking woes *The Shed *The Beast pond/trims/Timberliners
  15. A bad day at a park is better than a good day at work.
  16. I think ki will continue to have great ops and the impact will be minimal except on the busiest of days. Think about it...if you charge $15 for a one time pass, most people will only buy one. Or, the day ticket holder will just buy the normal Fast Lane. Ki is heavily saturated with season pass holders, so they probably won't buy multiples. The people who may feel slighted are prestige and all season Fast Lane folks. I could see this being a mess at Cedar Point where you almost have to have a Fast Lane plus.
  17. Thanks for the update, @brenthodge. I hope they get these things nailed out and have faith they will. I have really come to love this ride since 2019. So much so that I rode it more than The Beast in 2022!
  18. So, for those who have experienced AE 2.0...do the tunnels have the whooshing wind noises? Has the jungle noise returned before tunnel 1? On the first lift, is the creaking noise back?
  19. I think it would look unkempt. I understand they want splashdown views but I wish they would selectively plant trees and bushes. Also... Fix the hardscape. We have blacktop, concrete, and papers. Pick one and make the area consistent.
  20. I thought we weren't allowed to discuss drones here on KIC?
  21. I never rode the ride either. The first time I saw the show, I left thinking bad thoughts. But then I did some reading about the ride and started to put pieces together and rewatched...and rewatched...and rewatched...the nostalgia factor was in full force last year and I was hooked. I'm really glad it's back this year and look forward to seeing it again.
