@King Ding Dong, would you be in favour of it if the first aid cart was used to deliver Mike Koontz to the Rivertown Coke Freestyle station to open it daily?

I wish they would put a European siren on the first aid cart. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I guess all will be known soon.

My only point in my posts was to point out that the building is significant to us, the enthusiasts who love the park. But when people mourn the possible loss of the building and claim it's historic, some perspective needs to be considered. It's historic to me, but not to people outside of parks. That's my point. It has significant importance to us as enthusiasts and to it's place in park history, but outside of that it doesn't. It's a building that wouldn't be placed on The Register. It would need to stand many more years to be considered historic outside of the industry. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Y'all...the station is not historic. It was built in what, 1983? It has an appeal to us as enthusiasts, and to a lesser degree, the locals. But my house that was built in the 70s could be deemed historic if we go by how many years it's been there. That being said, I wish it would stay. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Locals concerned that Kings Island is violating noise ordinances
BeeastFarmer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
From my perspective, I would love to live where Mr. Taylor lives. But I am a coaster/park enthusiast. He is not the original landowner, but has a vested interest in his property, as do all the other homeowners in the area. If his side of the story is true, it is truly a black mark on Cedar Fair/Kings Island. He makes it sound like they have not talked to them at all. But I have a difficult time believing that. Locals should expect the park to continue to expand and grow. But, I can see the noise complaints. If the park were to do a good will gesture and insulate his house, put in new windows etc, it would be nice, but the next thing you know, all homeowners would want that. This would set a dangerous precedent. -
I can't remember where I heard it from, maybe Coasterstock. But supposedly, 90% of the structure of The Beast is 1979 original. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I love them. But when you are talking about Mr. Taylor, maybe he didn't. So, the cancellation of D-back ERTs, the tunnel on MT, the removal of two roller coasters were conveniently left out of his opinion piece. And did CP put in sand in their B&Ms? WHY? -

I'd guess that Orion will be quieter than Firehawk. Plus Vortex's noise is now gone. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk -
So my theory may be correct? I have learned alot in these 5 years of being an enthusiast! Thanks for that,@pkiridesmaint ! I've learned much from your posts! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I have two theories about why this part of the track was removed: 1. This is normal to prevent any trains from being dispatched. Yes, I know, I know. 2. The remove track that connects to the station so when they start major demolition, it will not be connected to the station, which will not damage the station because it's staying. One can hope, right?

Seems kind of lame to me. But more power to those who want to copy a Six Flags promotion.

I think this will shake out eventually. The 1961 people...they have lived there for over 50 years. They and others should have the most consideration, maybe insulation as mentioned earlier and some tree planting in the buffer zones. The McMansions and subdivisions that have popped up since 1972, those people and the people who have bought since should have done their homework. CGA had to go through some pretty rigorous neighborhood opposition to get variances granted. CF has since invested heavily into this park, so I would imagine CF will do the same with KI. Be a good neighbor, but continue to invest. @Hawaiian Coasters 325, I doubt KI is going anywhere soon. It is a cash cow. Now if some investor came in waiving a huge amount of cash.... -

The tunnel on Mystic Timbers was added as noise abatement. Diamondback supposedly was shut down early for Coasterstock ERT because of noise concerns. If this is about noise concerns, it probably is the late Haunt closes. If I didn't like farm life, I'd trade the guy who lives in the 1962 house in a heartbeat! ,[emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk -

Which Beast lift hill music is superior?
BeeastFarmer replied to CorkscrewMcPuke's topic in KI Polls
I like both, but I like The Darkest Day more. I just wish they would restore either one to the first lift. I love the sound of the mechanics of the ride, but I miss the lift hill music,, and the growling as you get to the apex. -
I think they do great work, and I was glad they put a lot of effort into Blue last year. The Beast I have no problems with. It's The Racer. I realize that this is very subjective, but I just don't get how two parks in the same chain can have vastly different ride and aesthetic appearances on their signature twin roller coasters. Racer 75--butter smooth and a ton of airtime. Freshly repaired track, ledgers, and batter braces. Now even parts of the structure have been redone. The Racer, the coaster that is responsible for most of the roller coasters that have come since, has a decent side and a side that is terrible to ride. And it looks terrible. It's going to be much more noticeable with Orion right behind it now. I hope a restoration is in plans for 2022.

Can you source this?

^Among many things with The Racer.

^ I'd have to disagree @BoddaH1994. Red Racer was unrideable for me. Blue was great all season though.
