I don't think you can buy gold dining with a platinum pass. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I've come to appreciate the new Royal Fountain. But I don't really see any shows. I see patterns, but it is not synched to anything. That was what my expectation was. The old fountain had patterns. This is not to say that I don't appreciate what they did, but it didn't match my expectation. But 99.9999999999% of the park guests probably don't have the same expectation that I do.

What ride did KI make the biggest mistake in getting ride of
BeeastFarmer replied to Beasttamer's topic in KI Polls
I second what @Magenta Lizard said. They have really made Tower Gardens a nice place to sit and relax. And I do! I'd love to see replaced pavers and some classic French accents, but even as is, it is wonderful. -
Six Flags 2020 Announcements
BeeastFarmer replied to MaxxForce's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Magic Mountain-great rides but terrible park. For a top tier park, the standards were terrible. One train ops for a busier time, surley employees, and just an overall bad time. Great Adventure-awesome park. Great rides, safari was awesome. Some of the best performing staff I have seen in the parks I have been to. Great food. The others you listed, I have not been to. I dropped my SIX pass a couple of years ago because they make it very difficult to give them my money. I understand the first time you buy a pass, you have to visit the park to process it, but after that initial purchase you should be able to renew yearly online, similar to the way FUN does it. I know a membership allows that, but I would rather pay a lump sum than monthly payments. As for the announcement, to each their own. Each park has posted their additions, but I'd like to see them have more local control. On this thread, I am speaking more from an enthusiast standpoint, and I will admit my bias: I think Cedar Fair, in general, does a better job with presenting themselves. And poor Magic Mountain. WCR is going to be an awesome ride, but it's almost September and there is no signs of it opening. -
Six Flags 2020 Announcements
BeeastFarmer replied to MaxxForce's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I feel so sorry for people who have a Six Flags as a home park. The cringe is, indeed, terrible. Some good additions for them, but I do like letting the parks make their own announcements like Cedar Fair does. -
I hope The Racer gets more love and care as the years go on. Red is almost unrideable for me, Blue is much better this year. I wonder if the roughness of Red is related to years of recaR? Or that it's used more...Blue seems to be the standard closed side. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I dunno...maybe the news would actually report facts instead of sensationalize and state that the ride is in SA instead of the US. But then again, when there is an accident currently, most of the general public has a misunderstanding of the facts. Also, I would have to assume that the licensing agreement would include brand standards and if bad PR would ensue, I am sure SIX would distance themselves. Buuuut….all this is theoretical until the park is actually built, which I have some doubt of.

If you have an itch to scratch, there may be an ointment available at your local pharmacy.

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
BeeastFarmer replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I hope Orion has the sound of Fury 325. -
Yes, by the Junkyard coaster. But it is not coherent with the design of the other leaves of the clover. I've considered that area of the park no man's land because it could be either Rivertown, International Street or the area formerly known as Coney Mall. If you want to get very technical, the only restroom in Rivertown is inside the Brewhouse because the freestanding restroom near Diamondback seems to be a part of Planet Snoopy.
-
Yes, but those close with the park. My need for balance is challenged by the lack of a restroom on the Eastern end of Rivertown. The one near the Junkyard Coaster doesn't count because it's staggered. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I'll make a deal. You all get your Area 72 restrooms and I get Rivertown restrooms. Preferably in the vicinity of Potato Works. Or when they renovate The Crypt, put them in there. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I have 14 visits and have gotten 2 pass perks: BOGO popcorn, and today I got the $4 caramel corn. The popcorn was a nice perk as I was able to give a friend a free popcorn. Interestingly, the worker had not heard of Pass Perks and said she had no way to redeem it, but gave me a free popcorn anyway. The caramel corn won't be used as I will not be back to the park before the expiration date.

Sorry about your day, Collin. I've been to CP several times and this isn't typical. However, remember that if you leave your spot in line and try to return there, that is line jumping and can result in ejection. I hope your next visit is much better.

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
BeeastFarmer replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
How do we know that they are not? -
Funniest thing I've seen today. On the KI season passholder page, an employee said that people were at the park, waiting for it to open today. Of course there were a bevy of comments about "the moose out front shoulda told ya". One person commented that it was the perfect attendance folks waiting for extra credit, but smoking. Just to be all clear, I quoted a post. For some reason, my response was smaller font and in italics. Tapatalk has been quirky for me lately. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Also, I've suggested before that I think it would be great to start a thread of shame on here, where we post pictures of smokers that are outside the smoking areas... So maybe we should do that in this thread? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What would be the point of a thread of shame on KIC? We know the rules, I'm assuming most KICers follow the rules. If it frustrates us seeing it live at the park, why repeat the image online? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I had the tri-tip at Coney BBQ yesterday. I'm pretty choosy about meat and had avoided it because, well, I didn't trust that I would like it. If I could redo this and last season, I would have had it more often. It was that good. Can't wait to have it on Labor Day, my next visit. I also had the KI salad for my second meal. I decided to try the pullapart bread. The salad was excellent as usual. The pullapart bread was just OK. It's like they took 4 Kings Hawaiian rolls, put them in a bowl of butter, added cheese and chives and top, baked and served. The bottom was not edible, it was saturated with butter.

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed a pain of glass was broken on a 2nd story window of the Swiss Building, with the curtains blowing out. Then later in the day, I saw the same thing on the Italian building. Now yesterday, I saw it was on the French, Spanish and German buildings. It's not like a rock was thrown threw the windows, they entire pain is gone. Does anyone reading this know why this has been done?

Adam House, with GCI, has stated publically that the tunnel is for noise reduction, and they worked with the neighborhood for input. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk -
Restore, don't replace! Put new shingles on the building, add the flags back, remove the ads, and highlight the year's new addition in the landscaping on the right side. Redesign the ticketing area. Maybe....maybe....add signage like CP and CWinds in the circle where the Christmas tree goes. Some rocking chairs like CWinds has would be cool. But don't ruin the sight lines of walking through turnstiles and seeing IS in all the glory. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
