I think it suffices to say that very few of us here know the inner workings of the park and their marketing efforts. I can just say, from my perspective, that while I would do something this way or the other way, I am not in that position. So in reality, my opinion is moot. The park cheerleaders will love it and the critics will not love it, but in the end, we have an awesome new roller coaster that we will get to ride soon. Tensions are high in our country right now, with the COVID 19 situation, racial tensions, political divisions and a multitude of other problems, but one thing that unites all of us is a love for the park. Can we not put our personal biases on hold and look forward to what is going to happen in the next month or so?

I've been picking up what you are laying down. I do have to point out, though, that on SM platforms, you can have a free business account, but Facebook, for instance, charges you to "boost" your posts to reach a wider audience.

Hmmmm....now I am not a local to the Cincy area (thank goodness!), but I have never seen 20 billboards for KK when I have been in Cincy, which I am quite a bit, even not r/t KI. But if they are marketing to an area that is dominated, that is not a fortune. It might be to you or me and our personal budgets, but not to a park, even a smaller park like KK. I wonder what the mural on the side of the building on 75 costs per month? I always enjoy that one and would love to own that house, or whatever it is.

So I haven't been posting much lately. Glad to see everybody is still nitpicking masks. I hope there are not confrontations at the park with people being cussed out and punched by N95 wearing bearded men who also have a bandana on for good measure.

Politics are a very fickle game. I'm glad that Kentucky Kingdom and the governor worked their deal out, I hope that Cedar Fair and Ohio's governor do soon as well. It seems to me, though, that today's park update is an indication that the governor did not have a plan to allow the parks to open. It seems like a plea to get the customer base to reach out to their legislators and promote an action. If you are in Ohio, I'd urge you to contact them. Meanwhile, the money I usually spend there is not being spent.

^^They key take-away from your post abut N95 masks is that for them to be effective, the wearer has to be fit tested. If the wearer is not fit tested, the effectiveness is lowered exponentially.

I do know that a lot of healthcare communication cannot be sent between a facility and a private email address specifically a patient. Patient privacy laws prohibit that information from going to an unsecured email address. we have carry around phones at work and you should see the complexity of the security of these phones that look like they were made in 1970. So I can understand IUs policy. And I would assume that that facility would have a patient portal set up because of meaningful use guidelines. With my patient portal if I need to print lab values or test results I can do that freely. and that also means to qualification set forth by the patient privacy laws. The tests are plentiful. They are real. And they are spectacular. In a nutshell, you can believe what your spoon fed by politicians, by the mainstream media, or by alternative media. You can live your life in fear, or you can be brave and live on. King ding dong, it's obvious where your political bias lies. Please don't bring that up in a roller coaster enthusiast forum. I've seen nothing in the person that you are sparring with of a political nature. If you want to bring politics into it perhaps a private message is better. One can also contact covid from any number of food items in a grocery store that one touches, any number of retail items in a store like Walmart, a gas pump handle, a debit card machine, a car door handle that a thief may have touched while you were in the store, a restroom inside of a retail establishment, or if you were sheltering in place at home and you do not leave your house ever but someone goes out and buys supplies for you, you can also pick up the virus from anything that is brought into your house. The person wearing a mask and gloves and a retail environment, and touches their face, even with a mask on, is more likely to spread the virus than someone in a swimming pool.. Except many of those covid 19 deaths May not be directly caused by the virus but they are presumptively caused by the virus. I mean if someone is dying in hospice care, and the death was expected, and this person can track a Corona virus a day before they died, it would be counted as a covid 19 death. That's disingenuous. RE: Dennis. He has far more knowledge of the industry and contacts than most anyone in this forum does, or ever will. He started at Coney, was instrumental in the founding of KI and KD. He would not violate what is probably an unwritten code and give away secrets, so I would guess he tries to throw some things off while giving the park free publicity. He seems to be doing pretty well for himself at this stage in his life. If CF wanted to distance themselves from him, I am certain he would not be invited to Coasterstock and be considered one of the fan favorites. RE: sanitizing queue rails: the only people who will benefit are the ones who are next thru or others who never touch anything. Unless there was a person there to sanitize the railings after anybody touched them, the rails will always be violated. The only thing I have ever seen close to that was at Holiday World. It was at the Thanksgiving buffet place and they literally had a guy by the doors and whenever someone touched the glass, he cleaned the fingerprint off as soon as the entered or exited.
