September 15, 200916 yr The main thing that I will miss is the level of theming. The reptar statue, the cutouts, the ride veichles shaped like characters... it's a shame that PS probably won't be as well themed.
September 15, 200916 yr I won't miss the large amounts of bright orange...assuming, of course, that they actually exit...stage left.
September 15, 200916 yr I will really miss the theme. But most of all, my little sister. She LOVES Lazy Town, Dora, Backyardigans - and loves to take picutres with all the cutouts. She has no clue what Snoopy is or Charlie Brown. I honestly don't think she'll like it as much. She's a smart toddler (3 years old) and she'll know the difference! Also, whenever we walk around there, she points to things and says "DORA!" "PABLO!" "STEPHANIE!" (all Nick characters). So that's what I'll miss most about Nick. My sister having so much fun!
September 15, 200916 yr well as the topic is about what will be missed... I'm going to agree with the author and say the level of detail within the whole area will be an unfortunate loss. That and of course the live Nick characters my nephew loves to run up and hug.
September 15, 200916 yr I wont really miss much as Nick came after I had retired from those kind of rides. I will probably miss the theming of wild thornberries. That was really well done.
September 18, 200916 yr I won't really miss anything either. The one feature that I used to love in Nick was removed after the 2005 season (the big green "slime" tower thing that would randomly drench unsuspecting guests who would look up wondering what the bell meant...).
September 18, 200916 yr I won't miss the large amounts of bright orange...assuming, of course, that they actually exit...stage left. Wow, you got me! Is that a "Snagglepuss" reference, or am I rushing to judgment? Same here. Goodbye, über-orangeness! I will miss the Patrick photo op, though. It was becoming a tradition with us.
September 18, 200916 yr I will get a little philosophical with my answer…”I will miss my previous belief that the Cedar Fair always strived to improve the park”.
September 19, 200916 yr What will I miss ..really I'm more upset of loosing Scooby-Doo as are my ''kids'' we are ''Scooby-Doo fanatics' it's nice when you can share a passion with your kids but to anwser the question the thing I will miss most about Nick U. is Runaway Reptar my 11 year adopted "Daughter'' loves the Rugrats and she will miss Spongebob,The Fairly Odd Parents,Dora..anyone else notice that dora has ''Grown up''? I will give Planet Snoopy a shot but I'm not impressed with Cedar Fair's Dark Ride Record that ''scares'' me. --I can see Avatar The Last Airbender becoming Joe Cool's Gr8t Skate...
September 19, 200916 yr Will no one miss Shaggy, Fred (not the one in the skin and bare feet), Velma and Daphne?
September 19, 200916 yr ^I have already been missing Shaggy from the Meet & Greet area from about 5 years ago...he was a nice addition to the photo op...now Velma on the other hand seemed to be hit & miss...it was as if it wasn't really her all the time and someone was filling in for her sometimes.
September 19, 200916 yr What will I miss about Nick? Ummm.... I will miss the fact that I cannot enjoy Nick leaving twice. Hanna-Barbera Land was the best. But that is history, as is Nick. Bring on Snoopy and the gang!
September 19, 200916 yr I'm crestfallen about loosing Scooby Doo, but otherwise, BRING ON THE SNOOPY!
September 19, 200916 yr im gonna miss hugging hey! arnold lol and the giant reptar i have some great memories with that ride back when scooby doo's bat ride was right next to it
September 19, 200916 yr im gonna miss hugging hey! arnold lol and the giant reptar i have some great memories with that ride back when scooby doo's bat ride was right next to it we will have lots of great memories, hope everyone got their last day photos of Nick-U. only thing i dont have is a good arial view of nick-u.
September 19, 200916 yr I dug up this photo I took of Shaggy back in 2003. I thought he looked good. ( A LOT better than the Mystery Inc. gang at Howl-O-Fest last year...Daphne & Shaggy's wigs were pretty bad.)
September 19, 200916 yr The first time in park history with no scooby of some sort .. But hello to beagle:
September 19, 200916 yr I will miss Scooby the most and the theming on Reptar. The rest of it can go especially the name "Fairly Odd Coaster."
September 19, 200916 yr I, too, will miss Scooby. It will be a shame to lose the one hold-over from the park's early days. I grew up on Scooby Doo, and even a Pup Named Scooby Doo, so I'm always excited to see Scooby around the park. I will also miss pointing at and yelling "Reptar!" at the top of The Beast's second hill and occasionally from Racer's hill. We may still yell "Reptar!" since that is tradition in our group. I WILL NOT miss "Fairly Odd Coaster." BRING BACK THE BEASTIE!!!
