TTD-120-420 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I can't really think what this would be good for. Any ideas? Quote
kblanken Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Whatever the new ride is at KBF? Perhaps Knott's finally listened to Velma, and realized that there is no such thing as ghosts? 1 Quote
SonofBaconator Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Umm the garbage I don't really know, perhaps something to do with Halloween stuff? Quote
AZ Kinda Guy Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Sounds like a Ghostrider rehab to me. Quote
jdawg1998 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 What kind of name is Coast Rider? In my opinion, it sounds horrible. 4 Quote
CoasterGeek101 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Interesting indeed. I think I might have an idea what this is........ Quote
kblanken Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Sounds like a Ghostrider rehab to me. Gravity Group was hinting that they will be showing off something 'FUN' at an IAAPA expo really soon. This could be that. Quote
TheCrypt Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 For all we know, this could be the next Stratosoar. Quote
RollerNut Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Stratosoar sounds better than WindSeeker, however KBF is keeping the splashdown pool from Perilous Plunge. 2+2=4 to me Quote
Leland Wykoff Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 This may not be an application for a single ride, but rather a collection of rides in or along an area such as the lakefront at Cedar Point. Or it may be a single ride in a similar coast type location. Just a thought... Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Found it on Newsplusnotes.com Quote
BB1 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 May this be the next "lineage" of rides? Ghost Rider, Coast Rider, just like our Beast, Beastie, and Son of Beast chain I could guess. Quote
bkroz Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Brings to mind images of a historic scenic railway leaping the dips along Sandusky's shores. 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 May this be the next "lineage" of rides? Ghost Rider, Coast Rider, just like our Beast, Beastie, and Son of Beast chain I could guess. Hopefully not just like. Terp, who prefers happy endings. 1 Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 It's probably just a T-shirt design. 1 Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 ^That was my first thought. I could see it on merchandise. Quote
CedarPointer Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 That'd be a good name for a pass valid at Knott's and CGA. Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 I heard a rumor today that this could be used on a new water ride at Kings Island. I don't believe it, but it'd be interesting. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 And don`t come on here saying you just heard a rumor like that. You must at least site where you heard the rumor. Failing to do so, is exactly how rumors start. Ever heard of the game telephone? Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 I apologize. I thought that rule was just in place for people saying they heard it from people who work in the park. This was just a random person in one of my college classes whose name I do not even know. I found it odd that some one else knew about the trademark. I hope you understand I'm not trying to start random rumors, I was just reporting something I heard. 1 Quote
Oldiesmann Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 According to a Southern California news site, Coast Rider is one of three new attractions debuting next year as Knotts expands its boardwalk: http://blog.pe.com/theme-parks/2012/11/01/knotts-berry-farm-park-announces-boardwalk-expansion-for-2013/ Quote
CoastersRZ Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Now if only Kings Island can get a flying scooter ride back! I really miss the Flying Eagles ride that flew the coop and went down to Carowinds. 1 Quote
coasterfanatic83 Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Turns out Coast Rider actually is the new Knott's coaster. via facebook http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10151264614763566&set=a.382599058565.162665.194340658565&type=1&theater Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 And they are getting a new night time show. Hmmm. Quote
