Colonel_SoB_fan Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 http://falconsfury.com/en/Parks/BuschGardens_Tampa/Home/Attractions/Rides/Falcons-Fury This is crazy. 8 Quote
DBInternational Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Another reason to go to Florida. Gosh I just hate that Quote
medford Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 yikes, I rode drop zone once, will never ride it again, safe to say, I'm never getting on that thing. Cool concept, hindsite being 20/20 I'm surprised its taken so long to go from a drop zone style ride to something along these lines, though I suspect capacity is much lower on this than a drop zone style ride. silver2005 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I'm glad to see this concept being brought back. The only other Drop Tower (that I know of) that does something similar is Acrophobia at Six Flags over Georgia, though that is only 15 degrees. Face first sounds insane! Quote
kjkjkj Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I had this exact idea when I was 8, right after Drop Zone got installed! (I played roller coaster tycoon all the time, and had it in my head I was going to be a ride designer, and always came up with ideas lol) This looks awesome though! 1 Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Wow. This one might be too intense for the general public. That is insane! Quote
upstop Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Same concept as Griffon, without the reasuring curve outward from the drop. Hope they have very good restraints, otherwise.....kersplat! 1 Quote
Zayzayd13 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Looks like a pure adreniline ride, Love IT!! Quote
Aaron88stang Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I am not sure I am ready for that yet...I am just starting to enjoy the awesomeness of Drop Towers. I had not done the one at KI until this season...That thing looks terrifying. 1 Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 That seems like a small amount of seats for a major park. I bet capacity will be awful. 4 Quote
CoastersRZ Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Wow. That does look intense. I wonder if it is the same manufacturer as the drop ride at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I believe that one was a MoseRides install, and I believe they have had issues with it. It was down when I was there back in March of this year. Quote
SonofBaconator Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Just noticed. Sheikra, Phoenix, Big Bird, Bird Gardens, and Falcon's Fury. This place really loves their birds 2 Quote

Colonel_SoB_fan Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 You wouldn't want to puke on this ride. Quote
jdawg1998 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I love roller coasters and Drop Tower. But not this. Never. "Drop Tower 1 looks too intense for me..." 3 Quote
TheCrypt Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Sounds exciting. If that video's correct, it looks like it will be in Timbuktu. My only question is how they are to make room for it. Quote
ahank Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 ^ I believe Sandstorm got moved next to Gwazi and this is occupying it's former location. Quote
TheBEASTunchained Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Well...Now theres an idea of what to add to X-Base, It could even be put right next to Firehawk! (No seriousness included.) Quote
jcgoble3 Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! I want to ride this NOW! I am definitely going to have to try to plan a trip to Florida next year. This looks awesome! 2 Quote

AintNutinElse2Do Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I'd love to see S&S take this concept to the next level. I imagine taking 4d seats which would engage to the rail at the top. Face you straight down before release then tumble head over heels before landing on your back, then slowly lowered into seated position. I actually wrote them this idea many years ago but never got a reply. 1 Quote
malem Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I actually wrote them this idea many years ago but never got a reply. Many companies have a policy of not reading any product suggestions, for fear that a submitter could claim ownership if something similar is later developed. 3 Quote
AintNutinElse2Do Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 ^Good point, well their welcome to use it if they see it. 1 Quote
