Thrill_Biscuit Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 ^^ NO!! ITS A HALF OF A BAT!!!^^ That's disgusting! There's no way; too messy! Half a bat? Look for an Englishman, 'bout 5'10", round dark glasses, long, black-dyed hair, mid-60s. 3
fyrfyter Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 More to look forward to. A tweet from the 22nd indicates that the trains are expected to be delivered Late February or Early March. Guess there will be a lull in activity between when the track is done & when the trains arrive. I suspect it will be tough to see much activity as major work will likely not be going on. Probably queues, roads & the like. 2
thedevariouseffect Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Now is this on the ride permanently or is this the preview for the ride...the way they announced it with the countdown and stuff sounded like an announcement..

Kat Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 It's amazing how far they are getting!!!! Hard to believe it is getting close to being done (in terms of track installation, that is( 3
Nick_Plummer Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Working super fast aren't they? Good to see them working again after just seeing the zero-g-roll unfinished for about a month 2
CoastersRZ Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Just got back from a weekend trip down to Dollywood. Crews down there were working on putting pieces in place for the new Firechaser Express both on Saturday and Sunday as well. Of the two rides, Firechaser Express opens first at the end of March. Firechaser Express looks to be a solid addition to the Dollywood coaster lineup. 8
calakapepe Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Track progress goes a lot faster since I don't check on it every day anymore 5
TheBEASTunchained Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I see the light, at the end of the valley........ Crews are at the Banshee site, ready to work this morning. 10
mikejenkins1 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 So clifford jr is moving more towards end of ride and last part of batwing unfinished. Will they finish the batwing first or the rest of the ride?
Gplez90 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Theyll finish the batwing first. It seems as if they're going to work on the bottom of the batwing going into the vertical loop first, then they will join the two sections together with the topping of the second portion if the batwing. If it sounds confusing, its very similar to how they did the first part of the batwing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1
upstop Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Looks like the bottom of the pullout after the batwing has been installed! Yay! They are flying like a Bat right now.... 5
MDMC01 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 That batwing looks huge! Approximately 4 more months till Opening Day... 3
upstop Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 One more piece and they will be threading the pretzel! 1
The Forsaken Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Looks like they also have the run into the vertical loop (after the pretzel) installed as well. Moving very fast these past few days. 5
davidw Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Four pieces of track installed today. Link to gallery 6

Nick_Plummer Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Looks very red, I thought it'd be lighter but it still looks awesome! 1
calakapepe Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Are you colorblind at all? HahaThat is not red. 1
Nick_Plummer Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Are you colorblind at all? Haha That is not red. I meant the shade of orange looked darker than I imagine, dark orange looks almost red.
ChainDog Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Are you colorblind at all? Haha That is not red. I am and it looks orange to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
jandyb79 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Are you colorblind at all? Haha That is not red. I meant the shade of orange looked darker than I imagine, dark orange looks almost red. When I saw it a few weeks ago it was much lighter than I expected. I was actually expecting a darker shade of orange, like the original Bat color scheme. However, I like the way it is turning out none-the-less. It really gives the coaster a distinction from it's Top Gun color of red. I'm wondering how much darker they will go on the supports - if at all... 2
