SonofBaconator Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Most likely. I think they will be done by early to mid November.
PyroKinesis Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Done with what? Installing all of the track for the entire coaster?
Shawn Meyer Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 So with the cranes being made bigger, does that mean they're going straight for the lift hill?
coasterfanatic83 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 ^^ I see that you didn't answer the kind man's question.Also pulling a Terpy.
HTCO Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 If they are done by mid-november with track, then bricks will be shat. 7
Kat Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 No way they will be done by November with the whole thing.
UnrealNightmare Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I remember in one of Don's interviews he said the track would be done by the end of the year. But there is a lot of work left to do after all the track is installed. If we keep having good weather days like today and the construction crews keep up the pace I could see them being done with track installation by late November early December.
IndyGuy4KI Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 I could see track work being done by Christmas and then all electrical/air lines/sensors/ect. being done by the end of Feb with descant weather.
davidw Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 So with the cranes being made bigger, does that mean they're going straight for the lift hill?It seems like they usually install the track in order from the beginning of the ride to the end. most likely install the transfer, brake run, and station first, then start working on the lift hill on. 1
Vortex Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 On a related note. As we boarded Adventure Express yesterday, King Cobras footers were being removed. Photos, or it isn't true. It's getting old please stop. 2
NoChickens Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Getting old may be valid in this instance, but there are times.......... 1
Kat Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 That would be a nice Christmas gift.... Merry Christmas!!! Here is a look at the newly built Banshee!!! 3
flightoffear1996 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 So with the cranes being made bigger, does that mean they're going straight for the lift hill? I would assume the station, lift and brake run get built first since that is where most the eleterical/mechincal compents will be. 2
thedevariouseffect Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 ^Spell check, it works...just messing with ya man haha Anyways any updated pics from anyone there today, KI webcams don't come up on my network
myklhicks Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 what's going on with the construction right now? Edit: looks like more supports!
thedevariouseffect Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Welcome to KIC, and I'm not sure, I'm waiting to see if anyone can let me know, I'm somewhat blind today here
myklhicks Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Thank you! I've always read the forums, got an account the other day and decided to post my first reply. 2
medford Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 ^Spell check, it works...just messing with ya man haha Anyways any updated pics from anyone there today, KI webcams don't come up on my network Not that I can provide, but it appears like they may be going verticle on the final brake run support areas today, while clifford looks like its been built.
gad198 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I could see track work being done by Christmas and then all electrical/air lines/sensors/ect. being done by the end of Feb with descant weather. Is Adena Corp. working on this project?
davidw Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 yeah, if they are the same company that did Gatekeeper
Oldschool75 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 ^Spell check, it works...just messing with ya man haha Anyways any updated pics from anyone there today, KI webcams don't come up on my network Unless you work there. Daily ops are over.
gad198 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I have the utmost respect for that company and their work. They always complete jobs very quickly despite very trying circumstances. The winters when Diamondback and Gatekeeper were constructed were less than ideal and yet they still finished those jobs at an amazing pace. It's also nice that most of the coasters footprint is outside of areas the park guests are utilizing so construction should be unimpeded for the most part. 2
mikejenkins1 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 It is impressive they are working three areas now. Station, lift hill and final approach. I figured it would do like Gatekeeper and go from station thru the course flow and then finish at the brake run. 2
thedevariouseffect Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Yeah but I meant webcam pics, someone was posting the time lapse things, those were awesome, dunno if we had anything to do today.
davidw Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 you'll have to wait til Monday for the next one 5
DaveWorldEmperor Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 When did Clifford the big red crane show up? And I'm hoping by the time haunt rolls around that the first hill and the first dive look will be done! 2
