Gabe
Methinks a lot of extra merchandise was ordered earlier this season that didn't sell..hence the giveaway!
ohiocolts
I remember these from a few years back. I'm pretty sure it was 10/10/10 I went and got a Snoopy Bobble head... 3 years ago today. It is still on display along with Jay Bruce, Joey Votto, and Chris Sabo.

Nah, they've done this a few times. It's just a way to draw people to the park.
Tanna
I'm kind of hoping they are giving them to the Halloweekends kids first, am I right?
XGatorHead 8904
^It's for the first 5,000 people in the park, doesn't matter if they're kids there for Halloweekends or adults there for ERT. EDIT: Oops, make that Howl-O-Palooza. Halloweekends would be Cedar Point.
Tanna
My bad- doesn't help that I was previously looking at Knott's to see what they had for a friend in CA. Howlapalooza it is.

Yep - not extra merchandise - the bobbleheads will in all likelihood have the logo of the company sponsoring it (Springdot one week and TWC the other) - just like they had Great Wolf Lodge last time...Simply a way to pull in extra crowds on a low turnout Sunday in October - it was crazy last time - line was soo long... DJSkyFoxx
I hope to get a Snoopy bobblehead! I plan on going the last day and getting there early for ERT and to get in as much ride time before the season is out!
Jr for Birdy
Having seen the lines stretching as far as my eyes could see an hour before Reds bobblehead days at GABP, I can imagine the bobblehead junkies will be bright an early, I might even have to join in for the fun!

jcgoble3
For someone who showed up early two days ago for the Charlie Brown bobblehead: 1. How big was the crowd at the gates when the gates opened? 2. How was the giveaway handled? Did they enforce strict lining up in the order you arrived, or did they allow a mad rush to the turnstiles when the rope dropped? Or were there not enough people there at 10:30 for it to matter? Just trying to figure out what to expect when I get there on Sunday morning.

Just trying to figure out what to expect when I get there on Sunday morning. 1. Crowd wasn't that bad. Arrived in parking lot at 10:15am. Had to stand in the stroller line which was the longest line and it didn't even reach the floral arrangement at the entrance. 2. Didn't see really anything strict being enforced. People were acting civilized and forming lines. (That's how low the crowd was). Upon going thru the turn styles there are tables where an employee hands them out. 1 or 2 employees per each turn style. It was laid out quite nicely. Edit: still mountains of them when I walked in around 1025am
KI-ORIG-EMP
Best advice is to get there early. The ideal behind give aways like this is to get people into the park. I would say get there as early as possible. Gates open at 10:30am, so I would say arrive at 10am or earlier.
TTD-120-420
If I was a guest during these days, I would rather get a slip of paper that could be redeemed for a bobble head when I exit. Having to carry that thing around all day is obnoxious.

medford
Got ther around 11:15 or so, front gate, had to renew passes for next season, around 11:30, seemed like there were plenty left, no mad dash, no long lines, they offered me four, said I only needed two, one for each kid. All in all, pretty easy.

jdf21972
Deep thoughts. I think I would sell mine inside the park for $20 to get a new Banshee tshirt. Just a thought Sent from my iPhone using Taptalk
Diamondback FOF
There must be a demand for the bobble head for you to sell it for $20...

IndyGuy4KI
Unless someone is going back to the car that will be with the KIC group, I think I will pass on that "Loose Article." I intentionally refuse to carry things with me when I am solo at the park for a reason. I do not plan on changing that habit on Sunday for a free bobble head.
malem
^ I'm sure there will be at least one person in the group who would be glad to have a second, even though it would mean carrying both.
