When you re-apply at KI.

When you hear a classic 80's song, and the first image in your mind is of Playlist Live jamming it out by the fountains.

When you really, really miss that Season-long Dining Plan because you're tired of cooking every day.

^ This, I was just thinking the other day how much money I was having to spend now at the grocery now due to not having my two free meals at Kings Island once a week. Is it too much to ask to just open up the gates of Kings Island just to have the restaurants open and serving lunch?

When you have a craving for airtime

When you are waiting for the 2015 calendar to come out.

When coworkers start asking, "So, where are you going this year?"

When you're planning trips 6+ months ahead of the actual visit. (I started in August, for June...)

When the parking lot is empty at 2 in the afternoon.

You've made lodging arrangements for an enthusiast event 5 months in advance.

When you go out of your way to take the narrow, hilly, back roads instead of the wide, relatively straight Interstate home from work, just to experience hills.

You know what's weird? I drive past KI every day. Since more days than not are days in which Kings Island is closed in a calendar year, it's almost weird to see cars in the parking lot. You can also chalk that up to the off season feeling like it's 4 years long and the season lasting the blink of an eye.

When Magic Kingdom closes at 8pm.

So thankful.

I start facing my fears of new social situations and consider attending a knitting group meeting to get out of the house because I'm getting a little stir crazy.

When your parents suggest your graduation present might be a trip to several new amusement parks.

When your phone shows that your current location is Sandusky...even when you're an hour and a half away...

When you listen to a song that makes you think about the park.

When your bored so you decide to put in the Blood Drums CD.....

When you are at a performance and the beginning of the opening piece takes you back to fall at Kings Island.

I'll tell ya, it was really impressive to watch. I did some research after the performance and the man that created the original would record himself playing each piece and then layered it for the record. There were points where they were moving mics, guitars, cymbals, sliding across the stage...to see it being performed was like a behind the scenes moment.

When Kings Island closes it's not a huge deal to me as football season is just ramping up entertainment wise. When football season comes to a end though is when it difficult. I guess it's not too soon to start planning for Reds Opening day.
