A sizeable portion of the general public won't know/care who owns their home park, but they will more than likely notice a change in visual identity. I think the chain would keep the full name for Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Over Texas while removing it from the other parks. The parks I'd be most interested to see the naming direction for (assuming the best option is taken) are as follows:SF Great America — Chicago's Great America; Gurnee's Great America; or Great America. It might be hard to do with California's Great America still in the mix, but it'd be a start.SF New England — Riverside Park; Riverside Grove; something else with Riverside? My personal vote would be for something like Riverside Wonderland.SF Mexico — Honestly I don't know that they would change this park's name. It might be a similar situation to Six Flags Qiddiya City. The broader international audiences seem to not mind the Six Flags name as much as US audiences do.SF White Water — This one could just keep the name, but I think it has a little strangeness because Silver Dollar City's waterpark is also called [Silver Dollar City's] White Water.Overall, the amount of comments I've seen calling for the Six Flags name to be kept as the main branding worries me. I hope John Reilly and the Board of Directors know what a bad idea leaning further into the Six Flags brand would be.I think Chicago's Great America works better than Gurnee's Great America, since Chicago is a far more recognizable city. My only concern would be that it would be acronym'd CGA like California's Great America, so you would need to differentiate them with ChGA and CaGA respectively. Illinois's Great America could work too, but it doesn't roll off the tongue as well.Riverside Park or Riverside Adventure would be my vote for SFNE.For Six Flags Mexico, they could rename it back to Reino Aventura or localize it to Adventure Kingdom.Six Flags White Water could be renamed to Hurricane Harbor Georgia to keep it consistent with the other water parks in the chain.
October 2Oct 2 The only issue with naming WhiteWater to Hurricane Harbor Georgia is that SFOG already has Hurricane Harbor Atlanta back by their Superman and Justice League. Depending on how Enchanted Parks decides to rename their Hurricane Harbor waterparks, I'd be on board for another set of Wildwater Kingdom(s) like they had with Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom. (Of course this will all be messed up if MiA retains the WildWater Adventure name as well). I've expressed my preference for variations of the names "Wildwater Junction" and "Whitewater Junction" for Kings Island, so maybe something like that could work?

October 3Oct 3 Something I will add is that two years after this merger happened, there's still a significant gap with branding between the legacy Six Flags parks and legacy Cedar Fair parks. Some effort has been made to unite the two legacy chains, such as using one singular app for all parks and ditching Flash Pass in favor of Fast Lane. However, both legacy chains still use their old logos prior to the merger, which I feel leads to brand confusion for people that aren't entirely in-the-know about all these parks being owned by the same operator.I created this mockup containing updated logos for the legacy Six Flags parks that are more consistent with the logos from legacy Cedar Fair. I updated the names to give each park its own identity outside of Six Flags, some of which reverting back to their original names such as Riverside Park (SFNE) and Reino Aventura (SF Mexico). Since they were originally built as Six Flags parks, I kept the names for Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Qiddiya City.In order to keep the branding clear for the general public, I added a "A Six Flags park" subtitle for each park, small enough that it doesn't interfere with the park name. I would also add this to legacy Cedar Fair parks, especially given Six Flags was never a part of their names.

Why would they want to mess up that chemistry? That's what I can't stand about Six Flags. They don't seem to care about the guests feelings. Everything is so corporate based. Now, as far as your mock ups go, I would be alright with that If they did that to Kings Island. Completely changing the name outside of It's history would be a slap in the face to these parks.
October 5Oct 5 I was considering a slight variation on that "a Six Flags park" idea, which would apply it to Over Texas and Georgia (Qiddiya City already feels separate from the others, and it is, like Darien Lake and Frontier City, under different ownership).Six Flags Over Texas -- A Six Flags ParkSix Flags Over Georgia -- A Six Flags ParkI know that creates redundancies, and risks being mocked. But depending on how this branding works, it might be a way to show that they are truly under the same umbrella. Besides, there really isn't any way to change the names of those two parks (to match the rest of the format) without stirring up the same kind of trouble as calling CP and KI Six Flags North Ohio and Over Ohio.It might sound silly, but I think people would get used to it eventually.
October 5Oct 5 If Six Flags is looking to change things up while somewhat unifying the brand(s), then I'd love to see the park logos revert to their classic forms with a standardized "A Six Flags [Theme] Park" tagline at the bottom. It would help Six Flags to avoid "picking a side" between the two former companies — at least more than they did in choosing the corporation's name — while using the visual nostalgia to their advantage. That could also save some money since some of the branding is already established/known in most of the bigger parks. The largest cost would by far be the physical rebrand and changing the large front signage across the chain. For example, Kings Island would need at least five new light-up signs (not including seasonal variations) between the two on the marquee, one across from the church, one on the parking tolls, and one in front of the fountains. A lot of other signage could be temporarily replaced by stickers and printed sign boards. For both Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Over Georgia, I'd go with a variation on their original logos. The redundancy of having two "Six Flags" kind of looks bad to me TBH.The examples I made mainly showcase how the classic logos would look with the tagline. They are partially based on the Frontier City and the older Six Flags park logos. (Some of these are not the actual classic logo, but I was not about to recreate the fancy lettering for Canada's Wonderland from the very pixelated graphics I found.) You could make the distinction between "A Six Flags Park"/"A Six Flags Theme Park" if so desired. I thought it would be nice to say "theme park" because that's what I want them to be in the end. I decided to include both variations of the capital "I" in the classic Kings Island logo because both have been used in the park at different times.I may try to adjust a few of the waterpark logos as well, but that's a task for another day.
October 5Oct 5 They don’t need the name on the marquee for guests to know Kings Island and Cedar Point are now Six Flags parks.

(From my perspective, I only have anecdotal evidence to back this up). But excuses have been around KI for a long time: we don't have ice because of the heat, we don't have the food you like because demand isn't there for Pigpen's Mess Hall, we banned you from following us and commenting because we only want praise, Vortex was at the end of service life ( we don't want to fix it and pay for staffing), and The Royal fountain looks stained because geese poop in it. Most of those would be followed by fans saying " we are just lucky we have King's island" lol
