Uncle Orville Posted March 30, 2025 Posted March 30, 2025 Can someone PLEASE fix the giant clock? Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted March 30, 2025 Posted March 30, 2025 The floral clock? It’ll probably be fully functional by Memorial Day when all of the flowers are in. Quote
BlondyRidesOn Posted March 30, 2025 Posted March 30, 2025 I remember the floral clock being inoperable much of last year. It's a shame as it's one of the most charming aspects of the park. I'd love to see more emphasis on landscaping in the coming years, like having each area feature their own unique plants and shrubbery. I feel like currently each area has the same plants when it would thematically go a long way if it differed between each area. Quote

It doesn't help when parents tell their kids to get in the clock to take a picture and they start messing with the clock hands.... Quote
nhimes90 Posted March 30, 2025 Posted March 30, 2025 The clock rarely, if ever, operated in 2023 or 2024. I think it stopped working somewhere near fall of 2022. Quote
Imperial79 Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Hopefully they can get it working this year, along with the fountains in the ponds of Kings Mills Antique Autos, I noticed they weren't there (or weren't working), it's a beautiful attraction, and the trees are starting to get bigger now, so we can enjoy that as well, while on the ride. 1 Quote

YEAH The fountains didnt run at all in 23 and were actually removed in 24. How hard can floating fountains be that run for years in retention ponds all around KI 1 Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Missouri Jane is up to some mischief with the fountains and clock. Tired of scaring people at WWC. 2 Quote
Oldschool75 Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Honestly, I don’t think most kids today could read the clock anyway. Yes, I’ve come across this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4 Quote
Orion-XL200 Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 I wish there were more topiaries in the park. The landscaping of the park at one point could have been considered an attraction itself. 4 Quote
jbeast Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 I agree with the landscaping being a more important part of the park. When I was a young kid, KI was full of trees, I know progress happens, and I love the big coasters in my backyard. Just seems like there is not as much shade left on a hot summer day due to so many open spaces. It seems like a small thing in the big picture, but things like the vine tunnel back when I was younger make memories. Not only was it always cooler under that canopy, it was nice transition from one part of the park to the next. Always loved walking through there. 4 Quote

Losantiville Mining Co. Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 On the topic of landscaping and the little things, I wish the park would bring back the two planter carts that sat at the front of International Street after the 2019 renovation. They looked like the old taffy carts and added some visual interest, even when there were no flowers in them. I think installing things like those carts, some small kiosks, raised planter beds, and a few other small decorations would give the park a little more charm than it already has. 3 Quote
